Its been awhile since you posted the video. Any regrets, problems or changes? I was thinking of a similar system with the carbon block filter but originally envisioned using a batch tank to collect water, dose it (for safety) then pump it to a few different sumps on alternating days or something (still in the planning stages.)
You could put the primes pump on a timer and use a timed water sprinkler to add the water if you didn't want to do constant water changes. I've been thinking of building the bucket system you built to add liquid co2 to a system.

Hey Greg. Ever thought of using sprinkler timer? They cost about $30 dollars. You can find some instructions on wiring it up online. Pretty simple though. If you have a 12 volt DC pump, then you can power it with a sprinkler timer with a 12 volt transformer. Basically you have the control for how many minutes, what time it will turn on, and which days in the week it would run.
good idea! however, i want with the peristaltic pump for low volume, high accuracy, and constant flow, but a timer could work for some applications
