    Mieke I have to tell you this. It is so refreshing to see a woman on here that truly knows what she is talking about and doing. I mean really doing it. Not say all of the lady’s on here don’t know but sometimes just in what and how they say it and also the physical aspects as well. More and more are showing that knowledge and know how everyday. You bring a smile to my face and love every episode. Keep up the good work and please keep your beautiful smile and sunny disposition. Thank you so much.

    How does this keep happening with Amazon vans? Do they hire the worst drivers possible? I noticed you didn't put any breathing ports for oxygen to the fire. That's a pretty deep pit and might require drilling holes near the bottom to help the fire burn.

    • @WhatMeikeMakes
      @WhatMeikeMakes  Месяц назад +4

      You know my original plans had 4 of the bottom cinderblocks turned to the side so there will be holes. As I built it, I totally forgot about it 😬 it’s been raining daily here, so I haven’t tried it just yet. But I will make adjustments if needed

    Your firepit looks great however, air holes near the bottom would improve the burn and reduce the amount of smoke from the fire. They would also help burn the wood completely and give you a cleaner ash.

    • @WhatMeikeMakes
      @WhatMeikeMakes  Месяц назад +1

      Hi Jim, I’ve had a few comments like that. My initial design had a few of the lower cinderblocks flipped to the side to make air holes but the. As I built it, I forgot about it. So I ended up without them… my fault. I hope it will still perform well, if not I will make adjustments

      @@WhatMeikeMakes Love your channel, never miss an episode and I am impressed with your creative vision and attention to detail. I was a Boy Scout and a Scout leader, live in a rural area and love to have family campfires. I would be surprised if you didn't some burning and smoke issues but it shouldn't be too hard to cut holes through the cement block, the lower the better. I've never cut holes in firebrick so i don't know how hard it would be. A 2" hole on each side would supply fresh air and improve the efficiency of the fire, burning hotter with less smoke. There are some videos on youtube of people experimenting with holes in firepits and they know more than I do. Good luck and keep up the great work.

    I wonder if the outside brick coating material was damaged from all of the water you had there lately? Humidity high is like water to some of these things.
    The tube of construction glue was just crappy. I hope you returned it to the store, or will for your money back or for a new tube.

      The cement set pretty quickly. It didn’t rain for a day, so it’s all set. I have the same cement on the well house and it’s been holding up great. 👍 or were you talking about the bag itself? Since that looked like it clumped up from the moisture? I’m just glad it’s coated and I’m done with this job 😜💪
