No the potential of Morty turning to evil Morty has been around for almost half the series. When he's doing mindpoppers he's finally starting to see Rick for who he really is.
Rick only cares about himself and everyone in the family is like 25 percent rick so that’s why he cares for everyone but jerry (Edited) didn’t expect people to see this comment but thanks for the likes
My theory, Rick is sad because at the end of the day he knows for everyone else to win he has to lose. For his family to stand on their own two feet they have to not need him. In fact he seems to have experienced this several times already.
Maybe the final nail to shatter Rick's ego is "Evil Morty", who'll prove that even his "smartest man in the universe" title, the very thing that makes him "him", isn't even true. Evil Morty might turn out to be the smartest man in existence. Not just in the whole universe, not just in every universe, but in everything that there is. Maybe a little too overboard, but that might be what's needed to stop Rick from changing the world, and instead to change himself.
It could be that maybe rick knows that the one true morty is the morty that can be smarter than rick and this rick is trying to make sure that doesn’t happen
"She died the way she lived, overserialized" It could be why they killed Tammy in such an anti dramatic way. It's like them saying: BAM there, she's dead, we're done with her, moving on.
But their is always another version of Tammy they could bring in if they want, Phoenix Person could steal ricks portal gun and go looking for another Tammy to replace the one he lost.
@@MrMeep-ze9ru The way I understood it, Rick didn't invent memory wiping until season 3. He probably only did it beause of what happened in season 3 episode 1. If that's the case, he wouldn't have been able to wipe his family's memories until then. It could still be the case, though. But then I'd like for it to be explained when he did invent it.
i think that requests like these from fans is what stresses the creators out. if they bring it back and it’s good, while some fans may like it, others will think it’s cheap. if they do it and it doesn’t work, no one will like it and it’ll literally just be fan service. if they don’t do it at all, they still get the requests. i can see how / why they’re so stressed and conflicted
The end of the series is going to be rick killing himself just to remember that he can't die officially as his morty is eventually just going to upload him to his clone. Im calling it now
I’d be impressed if morty manages to clone rick and upload his conscience onto the clone. It would be interesting as character development tho. Or maybe i’m under estimating him.
no he can die. morty only clones him becaus rick don't whant to be dead. rick created the clone process he can allso destroy it. rick is a god he can do what he whants to do realy
I'm willing to bet for a time he's going to be made the bad guy before defeating some other bad guy and then bouncing when he realizes his family is better off without him
I imagine there's gonna be an episode where Rick shows up and he's just like the best person ever. He's nice, he's supportive and encouraging, he's optimistic, and the family won't be able to stand it.
Why not have Doofus Rick for an episode? Rick could need to borrow Doofus Rick's Morty for some "Noodle Incident", and Doofus Rick could just spend the time hanging out with the entire family that he never had.
That's too cliche. So many shows use that for reset button. It probably gonna double-subvert it by the family actually prefer that, but other multiverse rick takes over/whatever
Ok I know that MatPat is most likely not going to see this but it’s worth a try. MatPat there is a show called “Over the Garden Wall” and i would love to see a theory on it. -it’s about 2 brothers lost in a forest and being stalked by the beast. It’s like gravity Falls but more gloomy. I know you’re not gonna see this but yeah it’s a good show. Very short and you can watch it in a day.
I theorize that next season will be Rick spending less time with the family as they all act like he's no longer needed, where as he stays away throughout a large chunk of the season, the family starts to revert back to hating one another (Both Beths starting to see Jerry in a far worse light, the kids getting on each other's nerves, Morty starting to become more egotistical while also starting to feel out of place everywhere as his purpose left). It'll end with everyone realizing that Rick was essential to the family and that without him, everything falls apart.
I feel bad because Rick was stuck between giving his daughter the adventure/life he believed she wanted or holding her back again so she can be with her dad. He really couldn’t decide, I feel so bad for him.
I don't think that was it. Regardless of where the real Beth went, she would not have achieved both outcomes. One was going to be held back and one was not going to spend time with him. He never told the Beth that was on earth about space Beth so Rick could have just not sent a Beth to space. When he told the Beth on earth that he sent a clone Beth to space just because he was curious about it it just made me think he only did that for himself.

Slevin Channel Telling a ‘smart story’ doesn’t mean that you need to be intelligent to understand it, it means that it was a cleverly executed concept. Which this show is. Get off your high horse.
I feel like writers never anticipated the popularity of the show, and now they are kinda trapped by the complexity of the show, like how would you ever end this show? Its impossible.
Honestly I think its the other way around. The fans try to hijack the show and tell the creators what its about. The show is mainly about goofy hijinks, the creators having fun. Its the fans who want it to be about complex meta theories and so on.
my guess is that we will mysteriously see rick getting along with the whole family(no space beth) in the start of season 5, meanwhile space beth, morty, and summer are tracking him down through the multiverse through his past, finding the Journey that led him to this point, to convince him to "come Home" or something Else
Like, is it just me? Or does the "Time travel stuff" box seem more present in recent episode. I don't remember it since I only saw it once but there's this video talking about Rick's feelings about time travel. Saying how he might tinker with some of that stuff. Who knows?

@@WreckinPoints11 That's kind of something that'll be an issue that I'd like to see explored too, because there are a lot of people within the fanbase that like Rick _because_ of the kind of antics that make him a bad dad. Think all the way back to the pilot with his talk of 'adventures' while hovering over a debilitated Morty: that was 100% psychopath, and he always circles back to that literally any time he involves his family in any way more tangible that just spending time with them at home. People may think of the word 'sitcom' as derogatory, but R&M is, mostly, a situational comedy. All of its drama is serial, all of its comedy is situational, and the reason most sitcoms don't entertain serialization is because a lot of their comedy comes from unbridled selfishness - this is no exception. Serialization reckons with the fact that, to be a good dad, he's going to have to go to great lengths to restrain himself I'd also imagine at some point that they'll draw more parallels between Rick and Jerry: both are selfish and parasitic to their families by nature, the difference is that Jerry's parasitic nature is by necessity (he can't function on his own), while Rick's is by choice (he is so hyper-independent that he can leave any time he chooses, and much of Beth's abusive nature is basically perpetuated by the fact that for most of her life, he _did_ leave by choice, constantly)
@@WreckinPoints11 my predicion is that Rick will keep running away from his problems (and more specifically from home) and look for escapism elsewhere, since he still can't deal with interaction or the fact that everything is meaningless in his opinion. By the end of s5, he may find something he finds meaningful for once. And after that he could start become a better person

I mean you have a good point, and to the other people commenting about "DiD yOu NoT WaTCH thE ShOW" Congratulations for adding nothing. The characters already dislike him, and he is coming to terms with disliking himself. But there is still a long way to go to hate. Resentful and bitter is what they are, if they hated him, he wouldn't still live in the house.
Colton Tuers “Disgusted” and “Betrayed” are feelings that easily coincide with hate. Skyler may not have fully hated Walt during the Finale, but Junior did. Rick, as you said, is disliked by all, but his family doesn’t hate him YET. My point was that they probably will hate him by the time the show ends or sooner. One of them may be responsible for Rick’s ultimate demise. Who knows?
I'm gonna take this a step further. The whole season was also about Morty being the representation of serialization. The vat of acid episode is the only episode this season where we see Rick use his portal gun to go into a different dimension. He specifically tells Morty that he wasn't going to ruin THEIR world just to teach him a lesson. In the end the solution for Morty's problem was getting back in the fake vat of acid, in other words, return to the episodic show style so they can begin and end every episode however they want with no consequences. The same with the episode about the death crystals. Morty saw that he was going to die an almost infinite number of different ways but tried to follow the path that would lead him to a singular conclusion. The first step in that was getting rid of Rick. Rick's presence keeps the show episodic and ever changing. In the end Morty discovers that the happy endings are not always good after all and learned the lesson that things don't need to wrapped up. They can be left chaotic and just suddenly stop and that's okay.
They want constructive Criticism? Ok, here (but i mixed in not so nice phrasing, to your info): A serialized story always stood for low Quality, low Intellect. Story is the right thing to go for. So do something about it. Your mind is your greatest enemy. I know action is hard, especially if you're depressed and lacking motivation, but start with something small. Actions create a ripple effect. You've got this.
I think Rick's final scene is like pretty representative of how he sees love; he sees both the effects of the subjective and objective weight of humanity, and when faced with the problem of "which do you want, to leave family and love behind or keep them around" he doesnt know which he wants hence why he does the mixes them up without him knowing. You see his reaction when faced with the decision, and he chose not to remember it because he hated how his indecisiveness made him feel since he wants to be decisive in everything.
honestly, I really enjoy whenever mat takes episodes with a sort of philosophical take. coming from a pretty toxic family myself, it's really nice to see that they can find their own identity and maybe become stronger
The problem with Rick "changing" is that how does one change him while still having his charisma? Historically every time a show enters the traditional values with love and righteousness, things get boring. Not to mention Rick, who is one of the most charismatic person in TV history because of how he treats everything with nihilism, so how does one change Rick while maintaining his Rick-ness? I am dying to see how the writers will treat him. I don't really agree on MatPat saying Rick needs to be knocked down more, I think this is his lowest point, even though Rick never mentions it, his family is what matters most to him, he doesn't stay with other versions of Bird person or Squanchy, he stays only with alternate versions of his family, him losing the house is him losing everything. Edit: wow thanks guys for discussing here, it’s the first time that there are so many who responded to my comment
My hypothesis is he won't change, as much as shift his sights. For most of what we've seen of Rick, he's only cared about himself. My thought process is that something will make him realize he cares more about his family than himself now. He still doesn't care about anything outside of that focus, but his focus will be changed.
I agree completely. If Rick would sart being nice, like in the Promortyus episode, I think he would stop being an interessing character, while he is so funny BECAUSE he treat everyone like garbege. (Sorry for the bad english, i'm from Brazil)
In it's always sunny the gang never changes and are horrible people but they affect other side characters like cricket and turned a priest into a drug addicted homeless atheist. It still manages to be funny after 14 seasons. Based off of this I think Rick has to always be like himself.

4:38 Rick says "when did you get so cocky?!" In season 3 at the end of the season rick says "A cocky morty can lead to some big problems" perhaps morty is actually evil morty or becomes an evil morty
This is when the creators finally include time travel. Maybe Morty becomes too cocky, and Rick uses a prototype or something that accidentally works as a time machine.
I’m thinking Evil Morty is this Rick’s original Morty, the one shown as a baby in the picture at Bird Person’s house in the first episode featuring Evil Morty.
I firmly believe that even creators don't know what Evil Morty is supposed to be, and does it really matter? Maybe the fact that it doesn't matter is the whole point
This season has made me feel a whole lot of different things, good and bad. I loved it though. It's completely different from how it started, but I think it has changed very organically and I'll be right here waiting for whatever S5 has to offer.
I have a theory that has no evidence and is completely random. What if when Rick cloned Beth to allow her to grow as a person he decided that he would also do it to himself. It would explain why he is more open to following the rules that Jerry and Beth give him and why he decides to go on the family camping trip because he is aware that he is a clone standing in for the real Rick who is searching for a better version of himself it would also explain why he keeps losing the fights that he's in because it really doesn't matter and he just wants to try to heal his relationship with his family by allowing himself to be saved by Summer and Morty in ep9 (he could've easily beaten fake Zeus) and Jerry and the two Beths in ep10. This would allow the new, happy and kind Rick to take his place in the family when everyone has changed for the better. Morty is stronger and smarter than the doormat sidekick that Rick left. Summer has stopped seeking approval and is finally happy with what she has. Jerry has proven his value to his family and himself. Beth has started to do what she wants instead of she thinks is best for everyone else
this needs more love .... youve made a theory that is really amazing and thought out all other theories ive seen is either not thought out or is just trash .... im impressed
This theory is for the happy ending. Which unfortunately, I don't see happening. I believe either the family starts actually helping Rick, or his depression will destroy the multiverse and delete everything (thus ending the show).
i like the idea, that rick as smart as he is, knows that helping the family grow rather then constantly saving them will be better in the long run. I would think he be able to reasonably control most situations, even when hes not around... just look at how he had voice commands installed in Ms Wong's office. Rick is the rickest of the them all imo :D
I love how everyone is watching the same show, the same dialogues but this guy is truly engaging with the media and by extension the writers who've put their heart and soul into this. I'm sure if there are any Rick and Morty writers watching this, they'd be teary-eyed that someone appreciates their work so much and is so effectively vocalising their intent for the general public. :)
I noticed something just now. A vat of acid? Are you dying of dementia? "When did you get so cocky?" Right now. Maybe thats the literal paradime shift of him becoming evil morty and that's them saying. Yep. This is the last straw. Remember a cocky Morty is bad news for everyone.
"We are who we are thanks to those consequences" is going to be a really good philosophy for Season 5, if embraced. Not everything has to be serialized, but if the episodes events grow the characters with a couple of serialized episodes in-between "to cash" in on those arcs, the episodic approach supporting the serialized approach, I think this show can solve its "writing crisis". Also, I want to see Rick challenge these consequences. Maybe Rick can avoid the cliche rebirth of the hero through ego death, challenging it using his intelligence while also finding some new meaning. I'd love that.
Rick done worse because he couldn't care less... Jerry did that cuz he was desperate enough to do anything just to stubbornly prove he didn't need Rick's help (which he kind of did in the end anyway). In my opinion, doing bad because you don't care about others isn't quite as bad as doing bad because you're unable to do anything else and fail to even see how you're affecting others due to lack of general common sense.
Cannibalism IS a choice. In the fictional law case the speluncean cave explorers its made out not to be, but if you are trapped with people with no food, guess what happens? Eventually someone dies, and then you don't need to murder anymore to eat their flesh. Well, it's still cannibalism, but not murder anymore.
At this point, there is one final unresolved plot point of a certain “evil” someone. It does seem as though that plot gets addressed every other season, so perhaps the character growth Rick needs could come from Morty. A more evil Morty anyway... That or we could see Rick rebuild Bird Person and get him thinking a bit more straight (just so that Bird Person can help guide Rick to not being such a terrible person). Either/Or but hopefully if there are so many episodes planned, hopefully this means we won’t have to wait too long for the next season. Companies want their money after all...

Yeah I agree. He ain’t that bad..everyone has personality quirks. They hate em cuz he doesn’t fit in perfectly from my perspective. Yes everyone can grow, but mostly people will be themselves.
Have to hand it to Jerry. He was the first (and at the time only) person to fully see how Rick was a danger to himself and would eventually get the family killed or worst.
Theory: rick will go solo in space for around a year trying not to feel empty and running away from the family like he did with beth when she was just but a kid then he will realize he can't fill the void in his heart that way he realizes he needs the family so he returns ofcourse we're gonna see some physical changes to him like with beth in the season finale but what's more important is rick will find himself heck when he returns he might've returned because summer and morty were in trouble if they went on space adventures alone he might've given them the garage or something (if physical changes actually happen to him i bet he'll transfer himself into another body of his old self) and btw i mean changes to his hair a cybernetic arm or something not another creature *BUT REMEMBER THAT'S JUST A THEORY A FILM THEORY...AND SCROLL*
Rick Sanchez obviously has the ability to edit his family's memories. Clearly he has been setting up every family member to become stronger and more independent without him.
I thought they said somewhere that they avoid fan theorys so they do not change things to be wrong or correct for a certain theory they like or dislike. Might be wrong but I remember one of them saying that. If someone can confirm or prove this comment false that would be helpful.
It hurts, especially not being able to call people you once called your friend because you feel like there's no way back to where you were. All you can do is try to move forward and make new relationships but even that seems out of reach. Yeah, I know how you feel and it sucks.

Rick reminds me of House (the medical show) being a "douche" is part of his character, if you take too little of it, there won't be any character development, but if you take away too much of it loses its charm/character.... I guess season 5's "serialize" plot will be rick's redemption, (with few episodic episodes) and season 6 onwards will be like season 1 again, a "all fun, not too serious" show.
I don’t think so. If the fact that there are 70 something episodes left is true, I think season 5’s serialised plot will be how rick slowly part ways with the Smith family
I'm going to call it now, Season 5 is going to be exclusively a callback to Rick's early life that we saw in the Season 3 Pilot intertwined with bits of Rick in the modern time and how the character is the same and changed since.

I think that rick knows about evil morty but he doesn't have it in him to destroy the evil morty and thus is raising his morty to face him
It could be that maybe rick knows that the one true morty is the morty that can be smarter than rick and this rick is trying to make sure that doesn’t happen

I don't think that was it. Regardless of where the real Beth went, she would not have achieved both outcomes. One was going to be held back and one was not going to spend time with him. He never told the Beth that was on earth about space Beth so Rick could have just not sent a Beth to space.

Its like in the case of john wick. You can't have a happy ending.
my guess is that we will mysteriously see rick getting along with the whole family(no space beth) in the start of season 5, meanwhile space beth, morty, and summer are tracking him down through the multiverse through his past, finding the Journey that led him to this point, to convince him to "come Home" or something Else

The way Rick changes is being a bad dad now bothers him
My prediction is that Rick will start looking for ways to become a better father while he still can in season 5
Serialization reckons with the fact that, to be a good dad, he's going to have to go to great lengths to restrain himself
I'd also imagine at some point that they'll draw more parallels between Rick and Jerry: both are selfish and parasitic to their families by nature, the difference is that Jerry's parasitic nature is by necessity (he can't function on his own), while Rick's is by choice (he is so hyper-independent that he can leave any time he chooses, and much of Beth's abusive nature is basically perpetuated by the fact that for most of her life, he _did_ leave by choice, constantly)

Here’s the latest episode
ruclips.net/video/dQw4w9WgXcQ/видео.html
Colton Tuers “Disgusted” and “Betrayed” are feelings that easily coincide with hate. Skyler may not have fully hated Walt during the Finale, but Junior did.
Rick, as you said, is disliked by all, but his family doesn’t hate him YET. My point was that they probably will hate him by the time the show ends or sooner. One of them may be responsible for Rick’s ultimate demise. Who knows?
He did that
I'm gonna take this a step further.

Awww stay strong :P
Edit: wow thanks guys for discussing here, it’s the first time that there are so many who responded to my comment
then he can treat everyone with nihilism except his family and very very very close friend which are dead any way
My hypothesis is he won't change, as much as shift his sights. For most of what we've seen of Rick, he's only cared about himself. My thought process is that something will make him realize he cares more about his family than himself now. He still doesn't care about anything outside of that focus, but his focus will be changed.

@Ice King i dont know about everyone else but *drinks Fanta*
he’s right
Yep
I know what i like and will not tolerate anything less.
That's what I thought when I watched it
Dolphin
Smart
But then he got put in his place kisses the vat, back to normal morty
evil Morty already exists in the same timeline though so this is highlyyy unlikely
Chinmay Infinite timelines, infinite possibilities
"We are who we are thanks to those consequences" is going to be a really good philosophy for Season 5, if embraced. Not everything has to be serialized, but if the episodes events grow the characters with a couple of serialized episodes in-between "to cash" in on those arcs, the episodic approach supporting the serialized approach, I think this show can solve its "writing crisis". Also, I want to see Rick challenge these consequences. Maybe Rick can avoid the cliche rebirth of the hero through ego death, challenging it using his intelligence while also finding some new meaning. I'd love that.
I wonder, in 3 years how my life will look like when the new rick and morty season releases

matpat: we see jerry save his own life
me: really?
me after finding out he killed 300 people: that sounds about right for jerry
Please Make a Rick and Morty playlist
We all know Rick has done worse to save his own life, so Jerry gets a W here
Rick done worse because he couldn't care less... Jerry did that cuz he was desperate enough to do anything just to stubbornly prove he didn't need Rick's help (which he kind of did in the end anyway).
In my opinion, doing bad because you don't care about others isn't quite as bad as doing bad because you're unable to do anything else and fail to even see how you're affecting others due to lack of general common sense.
did anyone see the sign in "vat of acid" held by a guy saying cannibalism is a choice? It shows up 17.22.
Yeah cause I’m the bat of acid episode morty eats a dead body
I mean cause it is
Cannibalism IS a choice. In the fictional law case the speluncean cave explorers its made out not to be, but if you are trapped with people with no food, guess what happens? Eventually someone dies, and then you don't need to murder anymore to eat their flesh. Well, it's still cannibalism, but not murder anymore.
@@ScottPilgrimspayaccount you're actually right! The only illegal part in cannibalism is the murder one.
Nah, you know cannibalism is an actual crime right?
At this point, there is one final unresolved plot point of a certain “evil” someone. It does seem as though that plot gets addressed every other season, so perhaps the character growth Rick needs could come from Morty. A more evil Morty anyway...
That or we could see Rick rebuild Bird Person and get him thinking a bit more straight (just so that Bird Person can help guide Rick to not being such a terrible person).
Either/Or but hopefully if there are so many episodes planned, hopefully this means we won’t have to wait too long for the next season. Companies want their money after all...
when they do evil morty plot i hope it’s not rushed and hope it really lives up to the fans expectations and hype
what ever happened to squanchy. did he make it out of the wedding massacre?
"Save his own life" At the cost of an entire airplane and all its passengers
I think they should just pull a Gintama and do whatever they want whenever they want and sprinkle in some plot every once in a while
Gintama is leagues above Rick and Morty though
Aravind Krishna I’m sorry but the best animated show is gravity falls though rick and Marty still good tho
Sorry rick and Morty not Marty
Aravind Krishna no
@@quincius8638 - I just finished Gravity Falls for the first time (literally 2 weeks ago). What makes it the best show for you personally?
I never got to follow along with the fandom back in the day, just know it has pretty dedicated fans.
man I just want a wholesome ending to this series
He needs to find his szechuan sauce and have his family's love
I want a cliffhanger that never gets resolved cause I’m a masochist
@@OGreenWorId I would literally hand animate another episode to resolve it
considering that the show is Rick and Morty I don't think it will/should have a wholesome ending but one that more reflects what the characters have been through and seen
@@bethelekezie7661 THEYRE IN THE FUCKING SIMULATION, WHATS THE RECIPE FOR DARK MATTER BABEYYYYY
I think no one really knows how much rick is deppresed.Who knows if his morty is his original one.Same thing goes to all the family members. And the only escape he has left is being with morty.I personally whouldnt judge him.
Wouldn't*
And he almost killed himself
Yeah I agree. He ain’t that bad..everyone has personality quirks. They hate em cuz he doesn’t fit in perfectly from my perspective. Yes everyone can grow, but mostly people will be themselves.
The most interesting choices in this comment are the punctuations
I would blame him it's kind of his fault why he doesn't know his original family.
"ARE YOU DYING OF DEMENTIA?!" Cracks me up every time
After I watched the episode I immediately thought:
“Wonder what matpat’s gonna come up with.’
Have to hand it to Jerry. He was the first (and at the time only) person to fully see how Rick was a danger to himself and would eventually get the family killed or worst.
season 4 was not Rick's season
it's Jerry' s
my worst nightmare
Mine too
I like Jerry
A lot of these themes are touched on a bit in season 5. Pretty good theories and analysis of the characters.
Film theory is my new philosophy class and Matpat is my teacher
Someone, make a joke about a bad youtuber being a comedy class
@@omarelgendy2821 definitely pewds I learned more from Matt and pewds than I ever did from my teacher
@@theoutsiderjess1869 i learned NOTHING from my teachers........
New? Ha!
This theory came from The Roundtable
This was so hard to read...
This was nice but please use punctuation!!
No mechanical arm, he can literally heal himself in like 2 seconds
Nah
Theory: makers of Rick and Morty see this and change the story so Matt pat is wrong .....
I feel like someone who works on the show Rick and Morty watches this content
I thought they said somewhere that they avoid fan theorys so they do not change things to be wrong or correct for a certain theory they like or dislike. Might be wrong but I remember one of them saying that. If someone can confirm or prove this comment false that would be helpful.
@@jacobjb Yeah you're right I've seen them say that a lot in interviews

I cried at the end of season 4 cause I know what it's like to lose "control" and have everyone leave you
Are you Ok? Do you wanna talk about it?
Jeppe Theodor Hedegaard Fr🤧
It hurts, especially not being able to call people you once called your friend because you feel like there's no way back to where you were. All you can do is try to move forward and make new relationships but even that seems out of reach. Yeah, I know how you feel and it sucks.
They want constructive Criticism? Ok, here (but i mixed in not so nice phrasing, to your info):
A serialized story always stood for low Quality, low Intellect.
Story is the right thing to go for. It translated to Quality.
The 'Reset button' for each episode is incompetency incarnate.
But isnt that Low Quality what Rick and Morty is going for though?!
I mean, it's a really simple show that thinks its really smart, and even convinced a bunch of Simpletons, including this RUclipsr, that it's smart.
It's not though, in fact.
@@tdk0623 it's all goods boss
Rick reminds me of House (the medical show) being a "douche" is part of his character, if you take too little of it, there won't be any character development, but if you take away too much of it loses its charm/character....
I guess season 5's "serialize" plot will be rick's redemption, (with few episodic episodes) and season 6 onwards will be like season 1 again, a "all fun, not too serious" show.
Just like house !
I don’t think so. If the fact that there are 70 something episodes left is true, I think season 5’s serialised plot will be how rick slowly part ways with the Smith family
i think that's too predictable and besides, if that's what happens it'll get repetitive and boring

I'm going to call it now, Season 5 is going to be exclusively a callback to Rick's early life that we saw in the Season 3 Pilot intertwined with bits of Rick in the modern time and how the character is the same and changed since.
"I AM THE JESUS CHRIST OF CHRISTMAS!" Best things Jerry has ever said
