I do gotta clarify: season 2 *does* explain why Bell resists Freya's charm. When Bell went to Ishtar's mansion and the guy had him pinned in front of her, she tried to seduce him and he resisted. Ishtar says she's confused why he resists and she uses the elixir to see his skill. Then she straight up tells Freya about how the Goddesses' charms don't work on Bell when Freya confronts her at the top of the stairs
Yeah I wished that we saw more when Syr tried to charm Bell. I expected Bell to have some sort of trouble fighting the charm like in the light novels, how his body wanted to give in to the charm. It may helped on what Freya plans to do with Bell (not trying to spoil).
yep it's my only real issue with this episode was that scene. A bit of a bizarre decision from both JC and Omori to let it run without Liaris being shown in some way. At least it was included to show that Bell can resist Freya's charm but yeah
14:25 also his back heats up when Liaris Freese activates. They will never show it in the anime, but yeah, whenever he thinks heroically (like he actually has a particular hero in mind), or whenever he encounters anything that can deter him from his initial foundational goal, Liaris Freese activates.
I know that objectively the fight scene with the Hostess girls only lasts 60 seconds, but if there’s anything we know about shounen anime, it’s the ability to turn 60 seconds of fighting into 3 episodes. The anime did show Ryu’s fight but we could have at least gotten 15 more seconds showing the other three girls fight. Giving Runoa a chance to show her personal enmity toward the Gulliver’s has a tie into the latter part of this season.
Yeah I think that's fair, but I think it's also good that it also showed the sheer skill gap between the Freya Familia and Hostess girls and it's also important to have that be the case considering that cause I know people would then argue that they didn't do that. I do agree with the last part, considering we saw Anya/Allen, seeing Lunor/Gulliver's situation would have been good.
I don’t know if the Rakia part from s2 showed that Freya had to be on the battle front because of her actions in the pleasure quarter but Freya there must’ve been Horn while Freya was Syr and went the orphanage with Bell.
unfortunately that's one of the cut things from Season 2 iirc. But yes, in that sequence with the rakia army, in the LN, Horn was in Freya's position due to Syr/Freya being in the Orphanage
They did not show that part in Season 2, which was a critical fail. Before that scene, many people just assumed Freya was Syr. Only after that scene was the fandom split over what was going on. But if you are anime only, you never had any evidence that Freya was not Syr, so I can understand why those viewers will just shrug this off as not being a “big reveal”.
Whata. people dont like Freya? Both evil and good forms by the best characters lmao. I love her being a dick to ishtar, her trying to manipulate bell and stuff. Def my fav behind Welf and Hermes in the show.
Isn’t it possible that Freya couldn’t charm Bell with her Goddess powers is because Bell is the grandson of Zeus. I think that is more likely the reason than the reason you explained in this video. Bell has Demi god power therefore Freya couldn’t use her powers on him.
It was supposed to be the chance she got the following day. To see/iron out her feelings for Bell during that moment. But ofc Bell recognized that it wasn't the Syr(Freya) pretty much quickly lol
I thought the hostess of fertility squad got ragdolled because maybe they weren't using their weapons/geared up, now I'm interested and gonna be super judgmental ln how the hestia familia gonna defeat them if it comes to that, because i swear to god if they somehow defeat them fair and square I'm gonna lost my shit, you did not introduce multiple lvl4s last season just for them to get their shit pushed in
The damage that skipping volume 8 has caused is unreal. I hope they do an OVA or something to cover it after season 5 is finished, since we have a while to wait for a 6th season now.
Explaining that now might still be a bit of a spoiler for future episodes. It’s not exactly the same as Lili’s ability. It’s both more powerful and more limited.

I WAS ACTUALLY WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO!! THANKS FOR UPLOADING ^^ CAN'T WAIT FOR THE CUT CONENT TOO!

damn i was watching your review chapt 18-19 from a year ago but now covering the anime is what i was waiting for
I just finished watching the episode and I was about to fking break down cause I was like "wait, WAS THE SYR WE KNOW NOT ACTUALLY A REAL PERSON!?!"
I really enjoyed this video! 👍

@@InitialT-tm- it all comes back to season 2 lmfaooooooo

Hermes under rated. Welf best boy!
The USA English translation from Yen Press also uses Hegni, not Hogni.

Nah, it's liaris freese, we already know how it works and that it makes him immune to any form of Charm.
but when they were talking about giving horn a chance to be with bell. what chance did freya give her if the whole date it was freya?
It was supposed to be the chance she got the following day. To see/iron out her feelings for Bell during that moment. But ofc Bell recognized that it wasn't the Syr(Freya) pretty much quickly lol
So respectively Freya saved Ryu from death on purpose? but in the end this choice caused her a lot of trouble.

Those level 4s were up against four level 5s and one level 6 adventurer, so it makes sense that they were easily defeated

bro can you spoil me what she will do to get him next episodes
So how come Freya and Horn can transform, I thought Lili was the only one with that magic?

Will be spoilers so not going to explain it in detail right now. The Anime should hopefully go into it later on
