I just visited the site yesterday, and although I visited there as a child in the 1970's, I don't have any real memories of what the place looked like. Seeing this footage from just several years after the park closed reveals how much is no longer there today. Thanks for sharing!
Since I was a kid, my favorite part of the drive to Boston was going through the valley of Waterbury, CT and then heading up the mountain to see the great cross of Holy Land USA and three smaller ones, one with a crucifix on it. Christmas 1986, we noticed that some of the orange painted "Holy Land" letters up on the cliff by the parking lot entrance, were knocked around in disarray. We wondered if there had been some kind of heresy in Holy Land. Over more years the letters were knocked over and then gone. My first visit was November 1996 and it was heavily vandalized. I made it up to the three crosses on the mountain and decided to get out of there quickly as it did not feel safe to be up there. My intuition was right as in many videos there are comments that drug deals took place up there, but in 2010 a 16 year old girl was raped and murdered there.
We would bring our whole group down from Maine, to help encourage any possibility of this wonderful life's work being resurrected! Our hiking group was named by the kids one year (Christian Hikers Rallied In Submission Together, Willingness And Love Kept Each Day... Christ Walked) and we have always sought places to go to share in His Majestic Presence: simply walking with Him again! Sure wish this wonderful presence was still open, "especially in these end times"... and that more places were available to our side of this Spiritual shootout :-(Please bring back the Holy Land; "plan to rebuild it and the Faithful will come"!!(We need this reminder now more than ever!)

God doesn’t have wrath...He is all loving. He’ll discipline and he’ll let things happen, but He doesn’t ever want us to be in pain or be sick or harmed. He’ll let things happen because we have free will. ultimately he wants us to get into heaven. All God is, is Love. So i don’t know what God you’re speaking of, but that’s not my God.
