I always start off with qb but I use my points in unlocking the entire thing anyway. I always spread out my recruiting to get what I need asap. I usually like doing 2 recruits at each position and go from there
@apexpredator7536 I get the sentiment, and it's why I did OL second. But QB is at least 5x more valuable, there are far less good QBs, and other teams go super hard on QBs.
The playstyle changes based on what your team is doing in games. So for the DE they probably weren’t getting enough sacks or containing the run well enough.

You have to do this Search 4 stars go after guys with little interest in the first week of recruiting offer them all a scholarship. Only scout this week dont waste points scouting. Week 0 get the guys off the board that have alot of offers that you're not in the top 3. If they have no offers but yours but you havent moved keep them. Get the rest off. Go back into search search 4 stars again that have no offers put them on your board and offer them a scholarship. Reorder your board to where the guys youre in the lead on are at top and send the house on those guys. That week youll have like 8-10 Week 1 look through again and youll have another make about 15-17 total that youre in the lead on. Keep going with send the house, until you can hardsell. Hardsell and dont add dm the player. Use the left over for your next recruit First year i had 14 4 stars 15 3 stars and 2 2 stars a total of 31 scholarships. Number 10 class with tulane. I didnt even care or worry about the deal breaker. I didnt even recruit a 3 star until like week 11. You recycle the same exact plan for them go after guys no offers. Offseason you got to do it again its new guys out there and go after transfers.
I’ve got a suggestion that isn’t mentioned. The players you spend a bulk of your points on (top targets) Don’t use the scholarship right away on them get ahead with all the hours you spend and once you’re in first place, you can offer a scholarship with a chance at an insta commit and you’ll get a big bump in influence, pushing your lead ahead if they don’t insta commit.
@@theleetacej8164 I wouldn’t with your main targets that you’re going to put max points towards. The AI teams are working with full boards, they likely aren’t putting 50+ hours on said player, therefore you can like get into first place by week 1, maybe week 2.
If you Send The House (or any other action) you can hold Triangle to remove the action and get those points back. I like to Send The House on week 1 and if they haven’t committed by Week 4 or 5, I remove Send The House and chose Hard Sell

You can find out what you need to do to fix the play style lockout by going to the My School tab, and under play style, you can choose the type of player that locked you out and see exactly what you need to do to fix it. Great video though! Thanks!

If you find out what their check marks like all 3 you use hard sell. If you know two but not the third you guess what the 3rd one is. If you have a dealbreaker along with two other checks. Then you can use hard sell and choose the one with the deal breaker and the check marks. It’s just a matching game. Sway is say you have good ratings in other areas that they don’t align with then you use that along with their hard sell
You may have said it, but when scheduling a visit...the team just had to have higher prestige than you and it gives you max Influence if you win. I don't believe it matters how much, just as long as they are a full star or 0.5 star higher than you. Love the content bro, keep it goin!
Your play style depends on the type of player they are and your stats for that position. For example a Possesion TE, the better Receiving yards per game your current TEs on your team gets, the better that ranking will be. Same goes for Other positions, you can see what they value in the "My School" category.
I have a similar strategy. I go after one player per position with 500 hrs as a navy coach. I keep it even hours wise then divvy up the excess hours to those where I'm lower on their board. I also go after players that have me in their top 10 off the rip
Is anyone else having issues with scheduling visits when you “should” be able to? Once I’ve gotten down to exactly the last 5 teams, there are instances (I’d say about 20% of the time), when the “schedule visit” choice is still locked. Basically they’re listed under the “ready for visit” tab, but it won’t let me schedule a visit. It doesn’t matter if the player has scheduled visits with other schools or not, I’m still locked out for what seems like no reason. I can potentially still determine what their 3 motivations are, I can hard/soft sell, I can offer a scholarship if I haven’t already… but I can’t schedule a visit and I have no idea why. And for the rest of recruiting, this fact doesn’t change, so that recruit slowly gets overtaken by other schools.

Since ncaa 06 i never really did recruiting much. 99% of the time i let the cpu do it and i just played with whatever i ended up with I started a dynasty with georgia state and got the 27th ranked class my first try thanks to this video I think there's a few things i didn't really understand until about half way thru the season but i think my next classes will be even better now that I've gone thru a full season
Can you please make a video on how best to close? I’ll be in the lead putting 60 hours into a great prospect and they’ll still end up committing somewhere else
Hard sell on the prospects ideal pitch (determined by their 3 interests: every prospect has one ideal pitch) once you're in their top five is number one, and scheduling visits gives you a boost as well. You wanna speedrun to their top five and hard sell as soon as possible and schedule visit to lock em down. Also pipeline level basically acts as a multiplier so you'll have a tougher time competing against schools with a higher pipeline level than you.
I just wish scheduling a visit didn't cost 40. Emu only gets 400 hours so if I schedule 10 visits, that's all my points if I use that all in a single week. 50 extra hours would be nice lol
you're teams grade in play style is not random. It is based on stats accumulated in games. When you lost Glen Freeland it wasn't random, it was because your team was not performing well enough in a certain area in game. If you go to the my school tab you can see what stat you need to improve your play style grade for each architype of player

I was spending so many hours recruiting as a 1 star program not knowing what to do, and would consistently lose players to middle to top-tier schools, and quite frankly I was about to quit from the frustration. But this has given me a new method to try and make it more fun.
The green interest indicators are not values. So it’s slightly misleading, it’s just a general guideline. Send the house does increase influence by more than the other 3 base ones combined. And hard sell it’s around twice as much as send the house. Although this doesn’t invalidate your strategy, just wanted to clear that up
It is very misleading. It does indeed increase the value, which we tested immensely. There are many ways to go about recruiting, and even sending the house is not always a better option. Really, it is all situational. That is more of what we tried to teach.

So this is what i do. If it helps. I get my guys on tmr board i want from interest level and their tendencies. I go after alot of WRs and CBs . That's where you add speed to to the roster. I focus on them heavy cause like you do i change my positions. If i get 4 speedy ass wideouts. I'm moving one to hb. If i get a really good corner i can move him to safety. Qbs I'll send what i can on. But as far as scouting. I always scout every player. As much as i can. I fill my board with at least 5 to 8 receivers and corners. 2 or 3 qbs. And the rest for lineman.

My only problem for athletes are if I sort them and they turn up as QB i draft them and he turns out to be a 73 QB but 75 Rb or WR now I have 20 of them because I keep seeing guys with high speed I want cause I’m greedy 😔
Keep players that had deal breakers and committed other places on your board if you are number 2. They can decommit if deal breaker rating changes on the other teams
Currently using a 2.5 star team in my 2nd year and I’m doing better than my first year at recruiting, but I’m still struggling to consistently land 4 stars and even a 5 star. Can’t even come close to a 5 star. Not struggling to land 3 stars tho I got endless of those. About to end my 2nd year and I’m looking at about 6 4 star commits this year and the rest 3 star.
I would disagree with something, in the early stage of recruiting, you can get anybody , you have a lot a time to use hours and make the cut off, top 8, top 5 top 3… you would be suprise by how much the AI dont go all out like we do! If he’s good and you neeg him, or you want a high recruiting class, always try!
Same smh I'm in a group league with people and not ONE soul has syracuse as their top choice. And the commish got difficulty on Heisman AND adjusted the sliders. No way I can win big games. Loved this video! Def planning on trying out your recruiting methods!! Start with 4stars, and only go after the ones that have no offers and have very flat interest in other schools, start by immediately offering and giving them 35 hours a piece. Add/drop 4 stars based on if other gig schools seem like they are definitely going yo overtake you, or if anyone shows up on the board. Try and get as many visits as quickly as possible. Add tons of 3 stars and give them offers. Spread out recruiting hours fairly evenly across them. Start trying to secure the three stars by scheduling visits and increasing hours on them. Is this all correct? Any tips and tricks? Thank you so much!

Just wrapped up my 3rd season with duke and had the best recruiting class! 5 5 stars and 20 4 stars. Looked a little different towards the beginning but the 4 stars definitely helped the class rank go up

Play style changed because your team isnt performing well in whatever that play syle wants. Yards allowed. Sacks. Rushing yards. Etc. Ive also had play style be an A+ then go straight to F and lock me out of a player. So play style will also just bug and lock you out sometimes

Something I’m confused about is that, if the green arrows are additive, then two soft sells should always be more influential then a single hardsell. Anecdotally, I have the most success with combining the hard and soft sell.
Would some explain the interest gauge to me? Specifically, the interest bar is solid up to a point, then it goes a little further but is more transparent. What is that gap supposed to mean?
Tbh I have locked up 3 top 30 recruiting classes as Ohio and I’ve maybe scheduled 3 or 4 visits. They’re almost a waste of hours unless you’re competing for a 5 star against Bama or osu
Howdy. Thanks for insight. Im rebuilding with a used to be 1star..now 3 stars…Is there are way to set substitute a certain formation with different players? For example if i want those players in I formation to be all 2nd string players? Can we stilldo that? Its been awhile
That happens at times and don't worry. Keep looking each week for players with no offers. They will save you. Also, watch out for players with only 1 or 2 offers, as the teams are sleeping on that player in the open stage.
Only do it at the end of the year. If done during the season, it can cause an overall glitch. We had a lineman go from 85 to 74. It only changed back to an 85 once we changed his position again at the end of the year.
Ply style is calculated each week by the number of runs v passes you do. And YOU been simming each week so who know what your cpu is doing on the field.
To get a visit scheduled. After that week the hours come back. Then I put them right back on. Make sure to try and take hours away from players you have a strong lead on.
Once you got them into your top 5 or Top 3 instead of just giving them 40 points with the 3 options wouldn’t you just want to Hard sell on there interest or would they still gain more doing the Social Media DM, Family and Friends, etc

We are actually putting something together for that. We did that for NCAA 2014 scouting and recruiting video.

play style updates every game as well based on how well those positions play. It sucks for DBs right now because the CPU runs 80-90% of their plays

Took Ball State to the Mac Championship first year, year 2 and we are already a 2 star program that’s an 80 over all.

My only problem for athletes are if I sort them and they turn up as QB i draft them and he turns out to be a 73 QB but 75 Rb or WR now I have 20 of them because I keep seeing guys with high speed I want cause I’m greedy 😔
Keep players that had deal breakers and committed other places on your board if you are number 2. They can decommit if deal breaker rating changes on the other teams
Currently using a 2.5 star team in my 2nd year and I’m doing better than my first year at recruiting, but I’m still struggling to consistently land 4 stars and even a 5 star. Can’t even come close to a 5 star. Not struggling to land 3 stars tho I got endless of those.
About to end my 2nd year and I’m looking at about 6 4 star commits this year and the rest 3 star.
I would disagree with something, in the early stage of recruiting, you can get anybody , you have a lot a time to use hours and make the cut off, top 8, top 5 top 3… you would be suprise by how much the AI dont go all out like we do! If he’s good and you neeg him, or you want a high recruiting class, always try!

Start with 4stars, and only go after the ones that have no offers and have very flat interest in other schools, start by immediately offering and giving them 35 hours a piece.
Add/drop 4 stars based on if other gig schools seem like they are definitely going yo overtake you, or if anyone shows up on the board. Try and get as many visits as quickly as possible.
Add tons of 3 stars and give them offers. Spread out recruiting hours fairly evenly across them.
Start trying to secure the three stars by scheduling visits and increasing hours on them.

Just wrapped up my 3rd season with duke and had the best recruiting class! 5 5 stars and 20 4 stars. Looked a little different towards the beginning but the 4 stars definitely helped the class rank go up

So what is the reason for not using ‘soft sell’ or ‘hard sell’? Isn’t the soft sell the best bang for your buck?

If you find out what their check marks like all 3 you use hard sell. If you know two but not the third you guess what the 3rd one is. If you have a dealbreaker along with two other checks. Then you can use hard sell and choose the one with the deal breaker and the check marks. It’s just a matching game. Sway is say you have good ratings in other areas that they don’t align with then you use that along with their hard sell
I like to think TE's take longer to decide because they're also contemplating basketball too

Play style changed because your team isnt performing well in whatever that play syle wants. Yards allowed. Sacks. Rushing yards. Etc. Ive also had play style be an A+ then go straight to F and lock me out of a player. So play style will also just bug and lock you out sometimes

Something I’m confused about is that, if the green arrows are additive, then two soft sells should always be more influential then a single hardsell. Anecdotally, I have the most success with combining the hard and soft sell.

Tbh I have locked up 3 top 30 recruiting classes as Ohio and I’ve maybe scheduled 3 or 4 visits. They’re almost a waste of hours unless you’re competing for a 5 star against Bama or osu

Look more into athletes, they improve better overtime, and you can use them in multiple positions.

That happens at times and don't worry. Keep looking each week for players with no offers. They will save you.
Also, watch out for players with only 1 or 2 offers, as the teams are sleeping on that player in the open stage.

Only do it at the end of the year. If done during the season, it can cause an overall glitch.
We had a lineman go from 85 to 74. It only changed back to an 85 once we changed his position again at the end of the year.
Just like you can, other schools are able to sway the dealbreaker to convince recruits
So you’re just allocating influence and getting in visits. Soft/hard pitch and sway doesn’t matter as much?

To get a visit scheduled. After that week the hours come back. Then I put them right back on. Make sure to try and take hours away from players you have a strong lead on.
Once you got them into your top 5 or Top 3 instead of just giving them 40 points with the 3 options wouldn’t you just want to Hard sell on there interest or would they still gain more doing the Social Media DM, Family and Friends, etc

They care about contender teams but it's usually the 5 stars
