- Son-1206D Battery charger test that came with some problem and don't work as expected.
PS: After I've made this video I've tested it with anoters batteries and the charger worked as expected. That battery on video is dead.
Just connect and leave it, wait for 3-5 minutes and it will worked and fan will running
Connect your battery to the charger over night, then disconnect and connect again the plus-clamp and the charger starts to load the bat - ampere starts to flash.
I find these great to use easy light weight. I think your test in incorrect has to be plugged in to check actual voltage.
My problem with Son-1206D Battery charger is theres no output voltage. They do not test their product.
Smart charger don't star charging if the battery is under 10.5v because is sing of damage on the battery... read properly the instructions.

Where it says that charger don't start if the battery voltage is under 10.5V?
Come on man! I've read all instructions before contact the seller and make this video.
Leandro Rodrigues hey man, I'm just helping, these instructions are crappy, a smart charger have different phases of charge and as I said it doesn't charge a damaged battery... As I know and if is a decent smart charger. Try to charge another battery with higher voltage than 10.5v and tell us if the charger works or not. If not is faulty. Other way is using a bridge rectifier and AC capacitor in series between the positives and give a bit charge to the battery to get more than 10.5v. and then use the smart charger. Good luck.
Hi Idelco! Now I understand you. Yes, if it is a smart charger, it should not charge a low voltage battery. But since I'm just a buyer, I have to rely on the specifications and instructions in the owner's manual, like other people as well. Thanks for explaining about this. At this point I can not test because I discarded the battery and I do not have another one to test. Months before I tested this charger with other batteries and it worked well.

O motivo pelo qual seu carregador não está carregando a bateria é simples.
Você está conectando-o para trás !!!!!!
Não conecte-o à bateria antes de conectá-lo à energia da rede elétrica. O circuito de medição no seu carregador pode funcionar a partir de 12 volts DC, mas não deve. O carregador deve ser alimentado pela corrente elétrica, ENTÃO conectado à carga (sua bateria descarregada). Isso permite que o circuito inteligente detecte a bateria descarregada e inicie o processo de carregamento.
The reason your charger is not charging the battery is simple.
You are connecting it backwards!!!!!!
Do not connect it to the battery before connecting it to AC Mains power. The measurement circuit in your charger can run from 12 volts DC, but it should not. The charger must be powered from the Mains AC, THEN connected to the load (your discharged battery). This allows the smart circuitry to detect the discharged battery and start the charging process.

So, this son-1206D I think that It should charge battery with a lower voltage. I Will mod It to decrease the charge voltage, to be more secure for life battery.
When we buy something is not cool to change it to It to work as expected. In this meaning I don't recommend this charger. It don't charge motorcycle batteries too because the charging current is too high for this type of battery.

@@playstation2bigs No. The max is 6A. For 12V/6Ah battery 6A is too high. For 12V/60Ah is ok.
This Son-1206 don't adjust the output current to charge motorcycle batteries.
@@vohr56 i did tried on my motorcycle battery it worked few times but last time it kept charging untill i saw the battery swelled up i immediately disconnected the charge and at this time the battery completely dead i throw it out

Yes, I did it. This Battery has a damage. With other batteries it worked as expected.
This charger is garbage---buy stuff like this from Lowe's or Home Depot cuz you can return it. This charger looks good but it's a piece of shit. Please save your money.

Ricardo Santana, sim, testei com outras baterias e o carregador funcionou normalmente. Esta bateria que estava com problemas.

Olá amigo. Fiz este vídeo para relatar um problema ao vendedor. mas o carregador não funcionava porque a bateria em que testes estava ruim. Testei com outras e ele funcionou como esperado.

It is Applicable for gel battery and lead-acid battery and for batteries with 40 Ah or more capacity.

Cara testa, mas com uma bateria descarregada, não uma porcaria, da onde 9volts sobe direto para 14v "essa bateria aí só tem o casco!"

Hi Leandro pls help me , I am using the same charger I had charge 2 acid motorbike battery so far it's works but yesterday I wanted to charge BTX12BS nanogel battery when I plug in the charger with the battery it runs within 3 min it stop working. I press the test button in the battery indicate green it's ok. Then I press the second time indication shows Yellow need to charge . Then after for a while indication shows red from the battery. I just want to know is there anyway to charge nonagel battery using this same charger. Thank you
Hi Joe! This charger just work for batteries with 40Ah or more, if i'm not wrong. So, it isn't recommended for motorcycle batteries. The output current of this charger is high for motorcycle batteries.

amigo..sou Brasileiro e comprei este carregador,so que está em Inglês e não entendo nada....as seis funções do aparelho. ..Abraços do Brasil.
Olá. Ele é todo automático. Não tem como escolher nenhuma função. Basicamente ele dá uma carga rápida na bateria e monitora e exibe a tensão e nível de carga da mesma.

Olá Agostinho. Este vídeo eu gravei para relatar um problema ao vendedor do Aliexpress, que foi onde o comprei. Mas o carregador não tem problemas. O que notei é que ele utiliza uma tensão maior que 15V para carregar as baterias, o que é alto. Tem como fazer uma modificação nele para reduzir este valor. No youtube tem vídeos desta modificação.
