      Probably not even that much considering his age, the volume of his repertoire, and the fact that he went to Harvard. I've been watching George since he was about 9 years old and even then he had the technique of an experienced adult.

      @@lastbornrelic3430 Some parts are supposed to be more calm and gentle. The first 20 seconds or so for example. But chromatic scales, trills and runs, are meant to be more exaggerated. It would sound weird for the more immersive parts to be played calmly. It would be hard to make it sound good anyways.

    a minute ago I watched 24 prominent piano players performing 3rd movement of Moonlight Sonata and I ended up here after watching all 24 performers.. Every key is treated in a due manner.. not a bit less not a bit more.. true perfection )

      Jacob Tan Near the end of the piece, Liszt writes in the option to play a cadenza. A cadenza is a short passage near the end of a musical work that is traditionally improvised on themes from the music by the soloist. In this case, Sergei Rachmaninoff put his passage to paper for future musicians to play. George Li is playing this cadenza where called for in the music by Liszt. It begins at 3:40 and concludes at 5:34.

      @@youtubeepicuser4209 no one ever improvises a cadenza. Some might claim they would, but no one, not even the biggest geniouses of our time would walk out in a concert hall filled with thousands of people and would improvise.
      They compose and spend month of hard practicing their compositions...

      I think Listisa plays her own interpretation as well. This is very close to the original, but again with some interpretations here and there.
      Check Adam Gyorgy as well, he has a very expressive interpretation.

      Anipporelle I've already listened to numerous versions of this repertoire cuz I also play this in my concert, as well as the version of Adam Gyorgy you said.
      Try listening to Maksim Mrvica's Rhapsody as well, I think you'll like it if you love Adam Gyorgy's version.
