I made one of the of larger bags and gave it to one of the techs at my rehabilitation hospital. She was so good to me after having a total hip replacement.
I just love this idea so much. I jumped on the band wagon and made the big tote size when you first released that video and then covered a zippered bag using 4 granny squares and I stitched the top to the bag using embroidery floss so you can’t see the stitches. Turned out so cute. I love the idea using buttons so you can remove the cover. Thank you for this idea! I’m so obsessed 😂
@@jacquiaba9132and you don’t. Hilarious you point out spelling mistake and don’t know how to write don’t. But I suppose you think you are perfect and better than the rest of the world when everyone else ignored the spelling mistake but you just couldn’t.
It really came out beautifully! So smart using those canvas pouches. Will definitely subscribe and check out some of your other videos. Thank you for sharing. 💜😎🇺🇸
Hobby Lobby has those cottons with sparkles. Yarn Bee Sugarwheel. The sparkling s make it pop! I don't do granny squares but I do make makeup bags and wristlet clutch purses in that size all the time in the round or flat and then sewing the side seams. Really easy. Using these premade linings will save me a ton of work! Love this idea. Nice tutorial. Well done.
Thank you for your great tutorials. I purchased canvas bags because of the previous tutorial on the larger bag and received a larger tote with side and bottom panels but i proudly mastered it. I used scrap yarn and made join as you go color block of a front and back panels and solid side and bottom panels. Connected it all and crocheted around the handles. It is so nice and now my two sisters want one. This new one here will make nice gifts. Thanks for the inspiration.
OMG! Cuteness overload!! 🥰 This is genius...thank you for the awesome tutorial. 🤗 This just solved a huge problem for me...these would make perfect "goodie" bags for birthdays, Christmas, just because....whatever. Fill with little wrapped candies, charms, etc. and give away. My mind is going a million miles an hour🤪 I have the cutest cat/kitten buttons...perfect for a friend that has cats. Pencil bag for a guy...done in shades of brown or grey with wood toggle buttons (?) See what I mean 😁 Thanks again. 🙂
How amazingly cute and beautiful little purse this looks, i have been using all different sizes of these canvas bags for lining since the time of covid and it’s been so easy, you are such a wonderful tutor came across you by chance and you inspire me a lot, bless you my lovely friend 🙌🙌. 🤗❤️👏👏 Hasumati from London Uk 🙏🏻
I simply used fabric glue when I made one of these a year and half ago and I use it everyday for my hooks and tapestry needle scissors etc, it's been perfect and still going strong. Although the buttons look very pretty.
How cute to use smaller yarn or cotton thread I have a lot of it in my stash, but also adding some glass beads. Thanks for the ideas I am getting from this. Small granny squares are so pretty, look like little flower petals.
Here is a hand stiched tote with canvas tote inside. A friend found a large bage of hand stitched patches. I put them together and added a small zipper pouch to match. I also made some of the cross bookmarks with the fabric. More to come. Hugs, Carol
A tip for sorting out your squares is to take a black and white photo. This will show the “value” and you can place the squares visually even. (Quilters use this trick!)
Love the bag bit my slight need to coordinate would mean i would put blue buttons on the blue side whilst pink on the pink side. A choice of colours each side.

3.5 to 4.5 mm hook sizes is TWO hooks sizes. If you compare the metric sizes to other sizes you will find that every 0.5 mm change in hook size is a real hook size not a HALF hook size. It is a measurement of a real hook size.
I LOVE granny squares but don't understand how to do them. I can chain stitch and do a scarf at best. I cannot understand instructions to read either. I'd rather just buy something already made. 😊

Awwww, that is so sweet of you. I hope you're hip is all better. 💞
We can cover the world with crochet in so many ways ❤
So cute! I like that if the zipper breaks, you could very easily change out the bag.

I know the feeling 😆 It's so much fun covering these bags!
Brilliant idea. Watched previous video about the bag. Perfect for people like me who don't know how to sow😅
Or people like me who just sew terribly! - lol!!!
Sow what seeds! Dont you mean sew.

I made this one with fewer squares turned out great❤❤❤
I just ordered 50 pencil bags to make these for Christmas/birthday gifts! Thank you so much! Great yarn buster!
Sounds like so much fun! I have been keeping some pens/highlighters in the second 16-granny square size that I made!
Thank you so much for this tutorial, the little bags are beautiful!!! I love the colours you chose 🧚♀️
Thanks so much 😊 Glad you enjoyed it!

Got a ton of crochet ideas. Thanks for your vote of confidence.
Great idea! I think I’ll try with the big bag first. Excellent tutorial, so easy to follow.
I made a couple of those canvas bags after watching your video. Thank you.
I used your idea and made a covering for one of my canvas bags. Love it. Several of my friends want one.
That's awesome!!
Thanks so much for your tutorial. I really hate sewing, so this is a brilliant idea to crochet and add to canvas bags. Wonderful job!! ❤

I've been doing this for years. I'm no good at sewing and my wristlets are one of my bestsellers at my markets. Definitely recommend 😊

Yes!!! 🙌
With school starting, this would be great.
You explained so well, thanks for sharing 💖
I made one following your instructions. Thank you.
I made so many of the bigger bags about 15 .. all different style granny squares, now I have to do this one !
Your idea is amazing 😍

Great! A lot of work to do. I have granny squares but I want to learn how to join them for a baby blanket. Thanks for the tutorial. Thanks 🙏
Absolutely love this idea. Needed to make the bigger tote too❤
This is fabulous! Thank you!

Adding beads is a great idea!
Soooo ingenious! ❤
So cute! It would be cute to crochet and add a wristlet strap in line with your button border to this one to make it a little clutch.
Oh yeah! I love that idea!
Brilliant!
Love that sparkly yarn. I’m currently using it in celestial squares of moons and stars.
That sounds so pretty!
I love it‼️🙌🏻🧶🥢🧵🪡🙌🏻
Wonderful project. I'm not a fan of granny squares but these little ones are cute.
That sit SO CUTE 💞🧶
Lovely bags. Don’t like the buttons much. My mind is working on an alternative. Lol love your tutorial!
Awesome idea! Thank you.
I love this 😍
That is so cool ❤❤❤
I have to make that 🧶
I like this because you can clean both pieces easily, though I might prefer clasps over buttons. Thanks
I’m going to try something like this for the sling bag they sell at Costco.

Is this 3ply or 4 ply?
I've been doing mine like that for a while. Got tired of sewing in zippers.
