@@replexity BJ Penn was better and has more wins in the same weight class. Khabib never tested himself outside of his own weight class and only defended his title three times, which equals other previous champions in his weight class. St. Pierre says he will fight him. Usman would be a good fight. How many champions has he fought? Poirier and McGregor were the only notable fighters he fought and both of them are past their prime. There were a few Brazilians that were good opponents, respectable wins against them. There’s two other guys in his weight class with the same number of wins and BJ Penn has 30 wins and many more fights. Same number of title defenses. Khabib is top five these days. All he needs is one more title defense and two more wins to take the top slot in history. Disappointing to say the least. Maybe he will come back. We’ll probably see some of his students in the octagon. Maybe Conor can smash one of them which will inspire a rematch.
Coach Javier is really a class apart. His control on expressions and keeping the other members of his team under check from expressing too much excitement during this high voltage encounter is highly praiseworthy. Looking at coach Xavier gives me goosebumps so focused and composed. This was a lot more than just a fight for team khabib. Congrats brothers khabibtime
I could watch this over and over. Imagine being on the ground and Khabib hitting you in the face with Everything he’s got, Over and over. Coach yells “takedown” and Mc was on the ground two seconds later. He whooped CM Badly. Great work sir. 🤙🤙
There should be 2 versions of a title fight, the regular one and one having this view of the corners makes, it is super exiting to see. I felt nervous like I was watching it for the first time.
As a McGregor fan this was hard to watch at the time, but Khabib's ground work is second to none, and in McGregor's career its become very apparent he always avoids taking his opponents down as he's not a great wrestler. Respect to Khabib, no one can beat that guy once he does a take down.
Conor talked a bunch of sh*t about how great he is and how he will take out Khabib but in the end he taped out. He didn’t overcome being submitted and never held his own. Absolutely disgraceful!!!!
@@kalijasin WTF is disgraceful about losing. So Dustin, Justin and all those who lose are disgraceful? Don't be a fkn casual. Khabib sniffed crotch the whole time. Lost a round to a guy who has no wrestling skills, who came back after two years. Conor still defended some of his takedowns and took him to four rounds. Sooo soooo much respect to Khabib after all that trash talk and disrespect towards him and his family country and religion he finally having him the take down he so desperately needed gained back all his power, his drive inspires me like none other
I like how Khabib didn't go for a choke under the chin but a cross between a neck lock and a neck crank. Much more painful as he was actually twisting conor's jaw against conor's shoulder tighter and tighter like a valve handle. 😅
Respect for both warriors in octagon and especially to the winner for he definitely fought his heart out and hardest to win this matchup I totally forgot about this although I think I watch it then.🌌✨💜
"I can lose any fight, but not this fight versus him, he talked shit about my country, family and religion I wanna change his face" Khabib Nurmagomedov
I think Conor and his team's strategy of 'letting khabib come to him' was the biggest reason for their failure, because once a guy like khabib comes at you and takes you to the ground you have almost zero chances of escaping unharmed, he will drain your energy in less than a minute. The best way for Conor was to use his strength which is striking, and bring down heavy striking in the first round itself. Because once khabib took him down, he looked helpless
They simply underestimated khabib's understanding of boxing. He knows how to feint ,keep conor guessing and how to circle away from conor's power. And the karate stance thing didn't work on him because conor wasn't able to counter properly because he was afraid of the take down. Conor did a good job grappling wise but in the end he got tired and just quit because he realised he just couldn't win the fight. He literally tapped as a logical decision, you can see him thinking about it. He didnt tap out of pain. They thought khabib was just a bigger chad mendez basically and tried to implement similar strategies
Khabib pressed every opponent he fought with, Conor didn't have a choice on that. Khabib was just ahead of Conor skill wise. Conor was the better striker but you can see Khabib almost dropped him. He was just ahead of Conor
Look back th entire history of Khabib, Not just Conor anyone khabib took down looked helpless under his grip, like the prey looks under the lion's grip.

Bring back kicking a grounded opponent, bring back grabbing the cage, bring back small joint manipulation, bring back what real strikers use to neutralize grapplers.
@@robertchiarizia9463 yet he won legally.
@@wajahatalpha4066 one trick pony out in the pasture now. Irrelevant to the sport now. I would like to see him teach. He would be good at it. His fighting career is finished. Conor is still relevant and fighting. You are stuck in the past sitting on past glories.

He celebrates finally along with them only when Khabib wins! What a professional, no wonder the AKA has produced so many fine fighters and champions along the years. There's yet more to come down the years I'm sure.
Stay strong and healthy, brother Javier, the AKA needs you like a kid needs it's father, the strict yet friendly and reliable guiding force.

Khabib brought respect back into a brutal sport. Connor and his hooligans to this day haven't recovered.
How did he brought respect back by first slapping someone outside of the ring and intimidating him with his entire team, asking to fight outside of the ring and attacking someone from conors team?
Not really, and it's just boring now.
@@ErinJeanettehe's head is a balloon now he's a joke
@@tosourtobesweet6976 meh, he made all his dreams come true and he's still the face of the ufc. Almost every conversation about it always rolls back to conor. He is the definition of a character or as my dear late mom would say 'what a card!' - everyone can try to knock him down, but he did so much so well, so quickly, and so successfully I feel sorry for people who insult and hate people who used their one life to absolutely dominate it. He's got four kids with the woman who's loved him since welfare, financial security for his family, he's hilarious and just a far more interesting and successful person than the majority of us nobodies lol. Sure he's been a prick and done some shitty things, but nothing that someone can't come back, and he's not hungry for fighting as he's achieved more than most fighters will ever come close to, but a joke conor is not.

There should be 2 versions of a title fight, the regular one and one having this view of the corners makes, it is super exiting to see. I felt nervous like I was watching it for the first time.
This should be a lesson to everyone to remain humble
As a McGregor fan this was hard to watch at the time, but Khabib's ground work is second to none, and in McGregor's career its become very apparent he always avoids taking his opponents down as he's not a great wrestler. Respect to Khabib, no one can beat that guy once he does a take down.
Conor talked a bunch of sh*t about how great he is and how he will take out Khabib but in the end he taped out. He didn’t overcome being submitted and never held his own. Absolutely disgraceful!!!!

Lost a round to a guy who has no wrestling skills, who came back after two years. Conor still defended some of his takedowns and took him to four rounds. You're a d**k rider if you believe Kebab's BS about wanting to drag the fight 😂. Conor destroyed his own chances of winning because of his over confidence and going for the Mayweather fight. His poor gas tank and lack of wrestling skills is his kryptonite. Conor wanted a rematch, why didn't Kebab agree? "I can lose any fight, but not this fight versus him, he talked shit about my country, family and religion I wanna change his face" Khabib Nurmagomedov
I think Conor and his team's strategy of 'letting khabib come to him' was the biggest reason for their failure, because once a guy like khabib comes at you and takes you to the ground you have almost zero chances of escaping unharmed, he will drain your energy in less than a minute. The best way for Conor was to use his strength which is striking, and bring down heavy striking in the first round itself. Because once khabib took him down, he looked helpless
Actually, the biggest reason for Conor's failure was that Khabib was light years above him in MMA skill
Only problem is Khabib came forward and took down people in all his fights. Connor had no chance.
