The animation looks very much on point although I would compare this to Power Rangers Once and Always and not like Transformers and Power Rangers have anything in common but Transformers One has some cheese factor it seems at least in this trailer and it might just not be a bad film but seems like it will be for Transformers what Once and Always was for Power Rangers only difference is that Once and Always was a Netflix special and this is gonna be released theatrically and highly likely a 40th Anniversary Transformers Special.

Honestly, this doesn't feel like the Transformers I know, especially with Bumblebee being more of a comedic character rather than the hero we expect. Megatron's voice lacks that menacing quality, and Chris Hemsworth as Optimus Prime just doesn't hit the mark for me. He doesn't embody the powerful leader vibe at all. For me, Peter Cullen is the one true voice of Optimus Prime, with his deep, heroic tone and inspiring speeches. While I respect Chris Hemsworth's talent and enjoyed his portrayal of Thor, he doesn't quite fit as Optimus Prime, at least from what the trailer shows. The same goes for Megatron's portrayal; it's missing that chilling, villainous edge. I understand the movie is meant to be a prequel set during the Cybertron war, but turning it into a PG-13 comedy-action flick doesn't feel right. I'm all for a backstory movie about the Cybertron conflict, but I wish it wasn't so heavily focused on humor. A little comedy is fine, but too much just doesn't align with the Transformers vibe. Granted, it's only a trailer and not the full movie, so I can't fully judge it yet. It's similar to how I feel about the new Crow movie; it's unlikely to match the original, but Bill Skarsgård's performance might still make it worthwhile, despite the poor choice in facial makeup for The Crow, which lacks the gothic essence of the original. That's the vibe I'm getting from this Transformers movie; it misses the serious tone and the iconic heroism of the characters, leaning too much into comedy.
