Bruh I've seen this man change from amateur to an absolute master of his craft. Not enough people appreciate how much experience is needed in this art to have the amount of confidence he has when laying it down. Been a long time subscriber...Good shit.
Appreciate you still being here man! Thank you for the words. It's really nice to see that many people still follow along after all this time even though I haven't been as active. I know you've been here for years and I hope there are many more years to come.
Christian had my full confidence the very first time I saw one of these films a couple of years ago. I don't think he has changed his way or how he comes across. He is a natural and there is no nonsense - perfect.
I concur. His openness and no-BS attitude have turned me into a "novice" wrapper. The blood red is gorgeous! Many people keep things close to the chest, and I greatly appreciated your pricing and how you got started video. It makes me believe I can do this for my wife and me regularly. And maybe make some extra cash for parts on the side weekends. Thank you so much for your time; thanks to your wife for letting you stay late to help us. I wish I could DM you with questions, but I know you got a life too. Thanks again, you're one of my few subs. ❤️
Congratulations to both you & your wife for the birth of your twins. That red is stunning. The install came out amazing even if it’s just on the fender for now.
Looks so good man! A little tip for those who are new would be to put strategic, removable marks on the film after you have it locked in it's start spot. From there, you can tell how much you've stretched it by how much the marks move. Keep it under 10% stretch and you should be fine people!
That red is absolutely incredible. Really like the white iridescent as well. Thanks for the vids, just about to start my first wrap soon and your videos have been an immense help in preparing for it.
One baby at a time is hard enough, twins will keep you real busy lol. Congratulations. I would like to see a whole car wrapped in the white, but like you I think I would prefer my own car in the red one.
I just want to say thankyou CK.. your channel, persona and knowledge gave me the confidence and ability to do some wrap on my car. I used the clear with the hexagonal iridescent pattern you had on the channel a couple of years ago. Did all my lights and 2 years on, none of it has lifted and I owe it basically to you sharing your expertise. Yes, I have a wrinkle here and there... but was my 1st experience with vinyl so I'm more than happy. Highly recommend your channel to anyone wanting to tackle their own wrap. 💜🇦🇺
I appreciate the referrals and I'm happy to hear that you've given it a try for yourself and managed to have it last. It gets easier and better the more you do it!
What I appreciate most about you is how if something goes a little wrong you totally keep calm and say oh well how do we fix it? Me? I let stuff get to me when I'm doing anything and minor stuff doesn't go as planned. Need to work on that
2 things. 1. This channel gave me the knowledge to wrap my own car 5 years ago 2. I’m ready to rewrap it & this Aura company kept showing up out of nowhere. Last time I used Avery SW900 gloss & it was very forgiving for a newb. I was curious to see how the Aura iridescent is to work with & this video has helped!! I know at least several years ago metallics & stuff were said to be a lot harder to wrap with. Seems this stuff isn’t bad.
@@CKWraps yes Chris i got the white pearl effect but in grey as a chrome delete on my car however if i did the whole car im sure the police here in the UK 🇬🇧 would take a dim view and charge me for something on the lines of the when it hits sunlight the reflection could blind other drivers 😂.
If you go to 54.18 there is an air bubble or two which you didn't go back to but then you had already trimmed the edges thinking the high gloss finish makes it harder to spot these.. nice chrome red..
I have the Vvivid silver iridescent which is stunning but horrible to work with. At least for my first wrap. It barely stretches and pulling it over edges is so hard. I'd love to see you do a video with that.
On the website they state that this is calendared vinyl that's more flexible because of certain technologies used. Do you find it easier to install or do you still feel difference compared to cast vinyl?
There's a misconception when it comes to labeling films. Saying that it is calendered is actually saying that it's lower quality than it is. The film is a polymeric which sits between cast and calendered
Whats your proffesional opinin on cars with imperfections and clear coat peeling do i need to sand down , or sand down and paint , and does vinyl might help hide , or show it more, easy to make videos doing perfect cars have to cover all aspect fyi , thanks
Can you do a video on top film manufacturers from best to worse? Avery, 3M, vivid, aura, etc.? And life span and scratch resistance? This would be a great video. If you've done one already CKWraps, can you link me to the video?
I don't believe I've done this video because in my opinion there is no superior film. Each film and brand even those considered the best by other professionals all have their pros and cons. I think it would be impossible to do a video like this without bias. The video would need to be more along the lines of Pros & Cons of Each Vinyl Brand
I was just about to order a roll of 3M 2080 film but this looks amazing. Cost is about the same to have it shipped here to Australia. I think I’ll be ordering Aura!
hello, I don’t understand everything, because my English is not very good, but it’s intuitive, I have a question, what color was it before? very beautiful satin and thank you for the video
Hey Christian! I watched one of your tail light tinting videos and am gonna try my hand at it. Thanks for the confidence! One question: for tail lights with a small circular hole in them (they come OEM on my Honda), is it fine to cover those with the tint wrap or do I need to figure out how to make the hole in the tint as well?
I had attempted to do a trunk in 3m satin dark grey and after about my 3rd time pulling it up to reposition it started to develop little holes. I've seen you be much rougher with film than I was in this instances so I am wondering if the issue was the film itself or if there is some technique I didn't follow? I know 3m has higher initial tack do I need to heat it before lifting it or something?
Usually you don't want to heat and lift the film because that can cause the film to stretch while lifting. 3m is known for having tearing issues, usually in metallic finishes. It's often due to the room / surface temperature being too low. Polymeric films like the one in this video are much less likely to break.
@@CKWraps Ah makes sense I did the job very late at night it was colder than usual. You really are a master at this craft. If I lived in canada I would enroll in your classes as I am becoming more and more interested in wrapping the more that I try. Also congratulations on your recent good news!

Great video! I just subscribed to your channel and the content has pushed me into using wrap as opposed to a paint alternative. What color is on the Jaguar currently?
The Jag is white as a base color
On a different channel they noted that they minimize heat gun usage since it degrades gloss to some extent. Is that true ?
What kind of cutter is that in the beginning of the video?
What’s the exact color of the white ?
Glosa Iridescent white
