Hey guys hope you’re all good, Mann WandaVision what a series it’s been, the MCU remains goated!! next Monday we continue Marvel Mondays with “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” but for those of you who can’t wait to see the reaction, come join the Patreon family and catch up to where we currently are in our MCU journey, the link for Patreon is in the bio, other than that guys thanks for all your support and we hope you enjoy the reaction.
Monica has definitely became a full on Marvel geek! She went from not caring too much to figuring out the clues! This was an amazing series. You’re right about Wanda being so powerful. She’s considered a Nexus being so her power set is off the charts. The woman at the end was a Skrull not Kree. Most likely taking Monica to see Nick Fury. Monica in the comics has powers like Captain Marvel and she’ll be in the Marvels movie. Can’t wait for your Falcon and Winter Soldier reaction!!!
the commercials also recap the stuff in wanda's life: the stark industries toaster was about the bombing, the hydra ones were about her time with hydra (the watch is literally called a "Strucker" which was the name of the hydra guy who experimented on her), the spill cleaning rag thing was about Lagos and her accidentally blowing up the building, etc.
Episode 8 and 9 are probably the most I’ve ever cried at anything Marvel. Losing someone is so incredibly difficult; and this show perfectly captures that.
Vision didn't transfer himself. He doesn't even remember his past. But the white vision does have the memory... he only unlocked the memories which are being kept from him. Wanda didn't know she was a witch... her ancestors were Witches. That's why they said that the mind stone has amplified her power. More like awaken and boosted her powers more or less.
@@itsproof2 although would be dope, I'm glad it hasn't happened yet because I feel it's too early to bring mutants to the MCU also seems too close to previous X-men movies that it would get the batman movies treatment, meaning people would talk down on the new X-men because we've already established great actors for some of the major X-men roles.
@@CHIM3RA. well wanda's powers are not due to mutant it was because of chthon the elder god who gave her chaos magic when she was just a baby so that in future he can use her as a vessel to return to Earth.
@@nova547 Wanda's mutant power is probability manipulation in the comics. Originally anyway, until they decided to change all that. Ultimate Wanda(Lensherr, Earth 1610) was at least that.
Great reaction guys!! I wish you hadn’t cut all the most emotional scenes out!!! 😭. The “What is Grief if not Love persevering” scene @ Avengers tower, her tearful good bye to Vision: “What am I? You are my love…” all the most heartfelt parts not on the YT edit 😩 lol
@@Silentnarcotic I follow like 40 RUclips channels. I pay for a Patreon for two of them. If I did them all I'd be poor. Sadly I had to choose my two favorites. Not an easy choice as I have several that I love.
Wanda was a witch when she was born, some people are born with it naturally, and in the "re-runs" you can hear Agatha say "You got up and close with an infinity stone which enhanced what would have otherwise died on the vine" meaning Wanda wouldn't have known about her witch powers if it weren't for the infinity stone making them strong giving her "chaos magic".
@@jahirxhdz no she had regular magic, the stone gave her chaos magic. This is the Marvel Cinematic Universe you know that right? This works close to the comics but changes things for new storylines and unpredictable moments.
@@KreAtorGames conjecture until it's set in stone tbh. I'm with Dennis on this. I guess we'll get an actual answer if Chthon or other knowledge shows up, perhaps in MoM. Speaking with certainty as of right now can't be done.
@@xerozeven conjecture, until more is shown, what we know now is that she had magic just like any other witch, and she was “forged” to become the Scarlett witch. And the only evidence showing that is being bathed in the infinity stones powers. So we can already assume that’s correct, until proven otherwise by doctor strange.
@@KreAtorGames "Forged"...depends on what that means to you. Sure, that could mean that her run in with the stone did that. Doesn't mean it gave her Chaos Magic. Could mean it boosted her chaos. I think my take on "Forged" is a little more nuanced. I think she already had Chaos magic because of the probable Chthon connection, her family line, her children's existence...scene's in MoM trailers and speculated connections there in. I think the stone not only empowered what was already there, but showed her a glimpse of what she was to become. "Forged" however didn't happen until her run in with Agatha. That's when she literally manifested her crown and became the Scarlett Witch. Had that not happened...we would still be dealing with a let's say, naive Wanda. I also think this is by design from a few different characters yet to be. Like I said, until it's actually nailed down...it's all debatable what if's or conjecture. "If "if" was a spliff, we would all be fucked up." ---Keith Murray
i love the fact that she enjoys watching marvel stuff too, especially if i think back of the first time watching it. "23 Films and not one more" and now she is saying "next episode next episode". I love it
Commercials in all the episodes were meaningful in terms of Wanda's life, the tragedy and trauma or something that is about to happen was being foreshadowed. Toast maker Ad -- (Catchphrase used - ' Forget the past, this is your future.') --- A modern Toast maker in the the 50s (presumably) showing how technology is catching up and how the Starks effects the future. The blinking red light in the Toast maker signifies the Stark missile that didn't go off, also notice when the Toast maker was switched on, how it made a sound of Ironmans suit's repulsors being charged up and getting ready to fire. The catchphrase symbolises how Tony Stark totally changed what their childhood once was, how the twins have been just made an orphan, how they are never going to be the same, how this horrific future was forced upon this kids and they never had any choice.... Strucker Watch( Hydra Symbol ) --- This one is no surprise, a reference to Hydra and Von Strucker of Hydra to be particular.. he was in the Avengers Age of Ultron movie, and he was the one who experimented on the twins, misguided them, abused their hatred and exploited their anger to make them into weapons. 'Accessory' is one word used in the commercial, probably means how the twins were only becoming an accessory for murder and illegal dealings for Hydra... Hydra Soak ad --- ( Catchphrase used -- 'Find the goddess within' ) --- This ad kind of talks about getting away from problems without going anywhere. 'Escape to a world all your own' foreshadows what we see the future episodes, how Wanda created this whole world of her own. 'Do you need a break?' - suggests how Wanda was actually drowning in sorrow after coming back from the snap, and that she needed a break from all these grief and sorrow. ' You read my mind' suggests how Wanda might have used mind reading abilities to give the people what they wanted more or less in her prefect happy sitcom world. Now, this was more of a comic 'House of M' reference to me, how she used Charles Xavier to read the minds of everyone in the planet and changed the entire reality where everyone had got their wish fulfilled more or less. And of course, the goddess reference is the Scarlet Witch, the most powerful sorceress and one of the most powerful character and non-cosmic entity in the Marvel comics. Lagos paper towels ad --- ( Catchphrase - ' For when you make a mess, you didn't mean to' ) --- It is the callback to Captain America: Civil War, where Wanda stopped Rumlo's attempt to blow up Captain America alongwith a lot of civilians. When she stopped the bomb from exploding into greater radius but not having enough understanding of the powers that she possess, Wanda lost control of the bomb and it exploded in the building nearby and killed a lot of innocent people. This incident happened in Lagos, Nigeria and it was one of the main reasons for Sokovia Accords and the civil war between the Avengers.. You can kind of hear the water dipping sound in the commercial, which may be telling that Wanda feels the guilt, as in she has blood of the innocents on her hands... Yo-magic commercial --- ( Catchphrase - 'The snack for survivors')--- This foreshadows Vision's fate and that he is only alive because of Wanda's magic and in the real world, he can't survive. How the perfect home of WandaVision is actually fake and it will all turn into a nightmare again for Wanda, much like how this commercial started all cheery and ended very dark.. Nexus Anti-depressant -- This was the final commercial in the show and directly talked about depression. It also uses the word 'Nexus' which is a reference to Scarlet Witch being a 'Nexus being' in the Marvel comics. Nexus beings are very rare beings that anchors the reality for their respective universes. Now, this nexus ad means much more than just that. It also mentioned 'Doctor', and that makes it a doctor strange reference.. There were many speculations that Doctor Strange is interrupting Wanda's program and trying to reach her through these commercials, making her realise none of this is real and what actually transpired.. This speculations may very well be true, because doctor strange appearance was cut out off the WandaVision finale.. The creators wanted this to be a show about Wanda and her grief, not essentially a superhero-villain thing. So, the creators took out the parts that might not serve the particular storyline purpose. This show was beautiful and definitely grows with you the more you think about it. ❤️
A lot of people think "Agatha All Along" means Agatha was behind everything. But it really ment it was Agatha not Agnus all along. If you ask the townspeople, Wanda is the villian. If you ask Wanda, Agatha is the villian. If you ask Monica, Hayward is the villian. But the Big Bad is grief. Wanda never actually dealt with the grief she felt over all she had lost. And their core her actions all too common. We aren't dealing with some issue and just keep surpressing it until we explode. And the ones caught in the blast are those closest to us. For Wanda is was a town of people within her vicinity. But usually it's those closest more emotionally. The only difference is we don't have the physical representation of how our actions have affected them.
Bro what? The lyrics are “who’s been messing up everything” and “who’s been pulling every evil string” The song is clearly meant to portray that Agatha is the villain in Wanda’s story
@@527Max yeah it's a switch you out so that everybody thinks that it's Agatha behind the whole thing. But we know that Wanda is the one who made that. And the writers have come out and said the big bad is grief. I'm not saying that Agatha is not a villain but she's not the big bad of this season. And think about it if you were a townsperson are you more afraid of Wanda who kept you trapped and suppressed your free will? Or Agatha who fought Wanda and then freed you?
39:00 in the comics, White Vision was a reboot of the Vision after he had been semi destroyed. I think that's what they're doing here. White Vision has all of Visions memories, but he lacks the ability to have emotion. Which means he remembers loving Wanda, but doesn't have the ability to anymore, which is most likely why he just flies off...to gain perspective.
Well... although White Vision has Vision's memories he does not have a memory of what happened in West View. I am not sure if he did not feel anything for Wanda or if he needed to figure out what he was supposed to feel about Wanda "replacing" him with a copy. Or if he thought Wanda was better off not knowing that there were (at the time) two Visions. It is equally unclear if he knew about Billy and Tommy (Hayward would have to have supplied him with info/data on them) or if he did know, he might have thought they were save with Wanda and the other Vision. Or maybe he did not want to see Wanda with her other family... because it would hurt him. Finally I would not be surprised if White Vision would turn up at some point coming directly from this scene to interupt another fight against a threat he was aware of (because of data S.W.O.R.D. had for example; like the S.H.I.E.L.D. shenanigans that are currently going on in the end credits or some secret invasion stuff) and later states that he knew Wanda would handle Agatha. I mean... I totally get that you are referencing the White Vision storyline but I am just unsure how far we are into the restoration bit. IIRC when the "red again" Vision had regained the capability of emotion he did hide that he had regained the feelings he had for Wanda in an effort to not hurt her further.
It's amazing how Marvel now has two moments where two robots are discussing what it means to be alive and they are such thought provoking scenes. Cant wait to see what we get from white vision in the future
How did you guys skip the "What is grief, if not love persevering?" Best line ever. Something I have to point out that slips by most people... he never got a chance to give this (deed/home) to her. He had acquired it for the two of them and, during Avengers: Infinity War when they were on that street corner and he was babbling over his words, he was actually trying to ask her to marry him. Then he got stabbed in the chest, ruining the moment... and THEN he found out that he probably needed to die to save half the universe and knew he couldn't ask her. She found the deed after she came back from the blip and realized all of that... which led her to this. Another little mystery to solve - there was originally supposed to be an additional episode, or a much longer finale, which featured Monica fighting the demon rabbit and more involvement by Darcy Lewis... more importantly, Dr. Strange was originally going to make an appearance at the end. The commercials throughout the show were actually his efforts to reach in magically through the hex and reach Wanda, and he was supposed to be the pharmacist in the last 'Hexium' commercial. Covid messed a lot of that up and they ultimately went with what we got.
I feel like what we got was perfect. Adding Dr Strange would’ve made it way too convoluted. We’ll get the convolution in Dr Strange MoM and that’s where the madness is so this is perfect the way it is imo.
@@PantsuMaster Dr. Strange wasn't supposed to play a major role, just a quick cameo in the last commercial and then a brief appearance at the end. Westview isn't far from New York and it would be pretty weird for him to ignore or be unaware of such a massive amount of magical activity going on for more than a week, basically just down the street. I don't think an appearance by him at the end would have complicated things at all and it would certainly have made a lot more sense than his complete absence did.
Monica becomes one if the most powerful beings called Spectrum. She can manipulate any form of energy she sees and understands. She's basically Captain Marvel on steroids
31:31 - Nah, it was both that she was a witch as a child and that the stone granted her powers and augmented her abilities as a witch - we know the stones can do this, as it's how we got Captain Marvel. She's similar, except instead of C. Marvel being infused with the space stone, Wanda's infused with the powers of the mind stone. She wasn't always the Scarlett Witch, it's that she had a unique potential (witch + mind stone) that led to her becoming the Scarlett Witch throughout this series.
31:45 It would also be helpful to remember that Pietro isn’t just Wanda’s brother, he is her twin. He probably got his power from sharing a womb with the scarlet witch.
@@cosplaydiver Wanda was born with powers, she didn't know it and couldn't consciously command them. But that's why the twins survived the attack upon Sokovia, she subconsciously made the bomb a dud. The mind stone amplified her abilities, giving her powers she could consciously control (the telekinesis and mind whammy powers she was introduced with, back in Age of Ultron)
@@carlmccartney1025 Marvel had to avoid using the word "mutant" for a long time, due to IP challenges, since Fox owned the rights to the X-Men and mutants. That's why the movies used the word "enhanced." Now Disney owns them as well, so we can expect to see mutants (and X-Men) in the MCU. IIRC the new Ms. Marvel has been labelled a mutant, not enhanced.
Re: the adverts 1) the toaster by stark Industries with red flashing light = Starks bombs with the red flashing light 2) the yo-magic advert. As the boy eats the yoghurt...he becomes skinny and dies. Like how Agatha 'feasts' in 'your magic' (yo-magic) and sucks your life force 3) the watch by strucker. Strucker was the name of the guy at beginning of age of Ultron who had the sceptor and 'created' Wanda and pietro 4) the Lagos brand paper towels. Lagos was the place at beginning of civil war when Wanda saved captain America from the bomb but killed the wakandan nurses. The gas cloud was red. The spilled water was red. The idea of 'cleaning up a mess'
37:17 basically in this scene Monica is absorbing the kinetic energy from the bullets. She could aslo see the energy or magic from other objects and environments. This is why she she able to see how Fintry got his powers, she saw the radiation(well, not sure I'm using the correct words) from the necklace. Sje could also see the magic from Agatha's basement. After you've watched the episodes you can just head over to new rockstars for a breakdown. Her powers are so interesting and awesome. 38:50 I know we're all excited he has his memories but she doesn't have the emotions those memories carry. I'm not sure what his story's gonna be. Also, the whole monologue scene with these visions remind me of visions dialogue with Ultron. He's so poetic
54:15 If you look closely in the commercials, you might notice some interesting easter eggs which show that Dr. Strange sensed Wanda's hex and was sending her warning messages to let her know that her powers were out of control and dangerous. So yea, the commercials do have a certain importance - they weren't just there for window dressing lmao.
Knew Monica would love this one. She even pulled an “on your left”. So, I bet she likes Loki and is not as big a fan of Falcon and Winter Soldier…but I could be wrong.
I say it every time people react to this series, but my favorite part was how Wanda's Vision, knowing that he was going to end and that the 'real' Vision is out there again, prepares Wanda to meet him in the future. He tells her, "I have been a voice with no body, a body but not human, and now, a memory made real. Who knows what I might be next?" and follows up with "We've said goodbye before, so it stands to reason..." prompting Wanda to say, "We'll say hello again."
@@paaritoshkarmakar2119 don’t you remember what Bruce said? He said that Vision is extremely complex and that he’s made up of a lot of other stuff besides the mindstone, and that perhaps that best parts of Vision would be there if they removed it
@@titaniumcommandrig Exactly, the stone would be a kind of conscience (along with some other minds) but mainly it was a battery for Vision. The white Vision was a robot because Hayward made him that way.
@@titaniumcommandrig I think what makes this different than the result we would have gotten if the plan from Infinity War had succeeded is that Hayward and sword has been taking him apart and rebuilt him, who knows how much is from his original body/programming and how much is new. Plus removing the mind stone and him still being himself was just a theory by Banner, it might be correct that they could have done it but they didn't know for sure. Hayward would not want to rebuild Vision the way he was before, he wanted to make a weaponized robot to control, so how capable he is of emotions and how much of his old personality is left is still very much unknown but my guess is that they went the comic route where he lost any emotional connection to his memories.
Im so happy for this reaction of WandaVision! I knew you guys would be confused in the beginning bc everybody was, but this show has EVERYTHING, comedy, action, drama, romance… its so good. And Wanda is now one of the strongest avenger, especially bc now she’s learning even more
Monica is the cutest thing ever when excited. Hope this is a lesson to never have expectations for things you think might be silly. Cause you may end up liking them. Beginning of her mcu journey she didnt want to watch this stuff. Best to just stay open minded.
This is a series that definitely merits a rewatch to catch the meaning of loads of stuff that might not have fully connected before seeing the whole series. And yes, I’d love to see another season eventually. Just the concept of a character-driven show that explores the Wanda character and her emotional trauma by taking us through the five stages of grief is brilliant. Despite my enduring love of Cappy, this is definitely now my favorite project of the MCU. Endlessly fascinating and almost every moment seems to have character-driven significance. From the first eps being 50s and 60s inspired sitcoms to reflect Wanda’s complete denial of what’s happening, to Vision mostly disappearing from the opening credits of ep 7 as Wanda’s subconsciously beginning to realize she’s going to have to let him go - the writing is just on point. It even points to Wanda’s understandable history of maladaptive day dreaming with the use of an ep of the DVDS focused on dreams and kid Wanda not realizing that she’s magically defusing the Stark bomb by wishing for it all to turn out to just be a bad dream. And Elizabeth Olsen’s acting is phenomenal throughout - from her portrayal of Wanda’s grief to her nailing the different styles of comic delivery in all these decades of sitcoms.
Love the reactions and how you guys are enjoying the ending of this series. I do want to note that The X-Men films are not linked with anything inside the MCU. They are completely seperate as the X-Men films were made by 20th Century Fox. But now with Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness, this means they might bring in those characters through that. Although they might not be the same ones from the universes we know of. Just know that these two worlds do not collide with eachother in any way, as of right now, mutants are not a thing in the MCU, possibly what Wanda's House of M is going to explore and bring the mutants in.
The X-Men movies will be connected now with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. If you watched the trailer carefully a famous Mutant is teased!
As someone said in a previous video the greatest character arc in all this Marvel saga is Monica! She went from rolling her eyes and crossed arms defiantly detesting this journey in the first bit if Iron Man to literally shaking with excitement and digging deep into theories at the thought of a next episode. Its been an absolute pleasure to watch. Also, when it comes to the argument of "most powerful", its been regarded in lore that Thanos was the most powerful character in the MCU, and Wanda (still far from her full power at the time) was proved more than capable of singlehandedly defeating him in Endgame before he resorted to scorched earth tactic. Writers, comic experts, and even the head guy Kevin Feige has said she is the most powerful by a long shot.
Didn’t notice before but Agatha’s mom had that magic ‘cowel’ / crown on her head during Agatha’s origin story! It’s similar to Wanda’s just before she gets her costume, but hers is made of red magic (chaos magic)
Wanda suffered through so much and yet these people will still never know just how much she lost. She only wanted a family and a peaceful life. It just happened to come at too great a cost for her to accept in the end
Fantastic reactions! 😊 Three of my favorite episodes. The last post-credit scene will tie into the new "Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness" that comes out in just a few days. This is such a great show. And I'm really looking forward to your reactions for "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier". 😊
A few days? I'm guessing you live in a different country because in most places MOM comes out in about two weeks in the first week of May, I agree with everything else you said though
This series was one of the best parts of 2021. Every week was so exciting ! Listening to Newrockstars breakdown weekly also made it super fun! Wandavision is my fav of all the series thus far
I think breaking it into 3's really helped you guys appreciate it more. 1-3 were just plain weird and left us with so many questions. 4-6 started to show us how much more there was to discover. 7-9 just blew the whole thing wide open and wrapped the whole season up so perfectly. Seeing it weekly didn't give us that clarity you guys had here. Anyway, great reaction. I'm definitely looking forward to your other Disney+ reaction. Keep up the good work
12:44 Monica has similar powers to Carol in the comics. She was actually the first female chsracter to get the name Captain Marvel in the comics. She'll probably have the name "Photon" since it was her mother's pilot nickname and that's another superhero name she used in the comics. Her outfit in the last episodes is also a nod to her comic costume that is white with some black.
Watching Monica's transformation from doubter to Certified MCU Fan reminds me of Kevin Smith (the real Silent Bob) talking about how his wife gradually came to love these franchises. I'm not a comic book guy, but Marvel has done something truly unprecedented here.
Episode 8 was sooo good. Also it has my favorite line of the whole MCU. Vision had a ton of good lines throughout the years, but his "What is grief, if not love persevering." is such a beautiful statement.
Marvel is investing in more development for their characters, which is awesome. It makes the stories more rich and the fight scenes more meaningfull. Btw, Wanda the superior character until now.
When Monica gets called into the theatre, the marquee says "Tannhauser Gate". That's a reference to a scene in Blade Runner, where an artificial person (kinda like Vision) accepts his death and the fact that all the moments of his life "will be lost in time, like tears in rain." It's pretty sad that even though the white Vision will probably be around, the Vision that got to be Wanda's husband and father to their kids had to disappear.
So, the commercials: The hint of the commercials in the WandaVision series is that every traumatic event in Wanda's life commercials Episode 1: Stark toaster = Stark's missle that killed her parents and nearly killed her. Episode 2: Strucker watch = Strucker exposing them to the Infinity stone and watched them afterwards for several months. Episode 3: Hydra soak = Technically, they (Wanda and Pietro) were both members of Hydra, even if they weren't true believers. The soak in this case is referring to trying to believe in Hydra's message, which is society as a whole isn't to be trusted, give them control, and worry no more. Episode 5: Paper towel ad = Literally referred to as Lagos, the place where Wanda's action lead to several Wankandians dying while on a humanitarian trip, which started the whole Hero's civil war. Literally a towel to clean up messes. Episode 6: Yogurt = Vision's death. Literally given hope (yogurt on a desert island), but unable to 'access' it (open the yogurt), in this case, Suri saying that she could remove the stone from Vision without killing him, but not finishing in time. Episode 7: Depression ad = Literally giving the plot of the WandaVision series away. Which, if you're paying attention, should already be known to you now.
@@Greeny1308 It could be that, too. The only problem I have with that is the order is out of whack. I mean, they were very careful with the order of the symbolism in the commercials. Then again, this could be an 'rogue' commercial that Agatha herself put in, which could explain why we never see our 2 main commercial actors in that one specific commercial. You've given me something to ponder.
now that you guys finished the show i can say a few things.. in the comics wanda (the scarlet witch) and peitro (quicksilver) are mutants which are people that are born with their powers and are apart of xmen, avengers so on and so on, im not sure if that’s his name in the comics but they were the children of magneto, the xmen’s “arch nemesis”. but in the mcu we believed and were told that they got their powers from the stone, which we now know from this show that the stones didn’t give them their powers, they were born with them. the movie xmen has a character, “quicksilver” which who you referred to earlier in the video.. he’s just a variant of wanda’s brother. just in separate universes, different people same superhero i guess..
Monica’s powers are to convert her body into any form of energy which grants her the ability to do other things like flying at the speed of light, invisibility, intangibility, energy blasts from her hands and eyes, energy absorption etc etc.
Loved your reaction to this show so much it's definitely my favorite marvel show and one of my fav things they've done in general! So happy you guys enjoyed it so much especially monica, both of you are a joy to watch! Wanda definitely became one of my top favorite marvel characters after this, i cried at the end of the episode when vision had to leave her again. Can't wait for you guys to react to Loki series i love that one so much as well!
In the comics Monica Rambeau is Captain Marvel before Carol Danvers. So her being in the Captain Marvel movie was an Easter egg. She also used the names Photon and Spectrum. The show has dropped hints for both those names. The biggest being her mother, Maria's call sign was Photon. But currently in the comics she is Spectrum
Of course nothing can be completely invincible, there's always a loophole, but that's not the point, the point is until you find that loophole, that's what she is, invincible
How could y'all skip the scene with Wanda and Vision at the Avengers compound? It's the scene that explains their entire relationship, and it has the most beautiful line of dialogue in the series. "What is grief, if not love persevering?"
@@lunasambition I really wanted to hear her reaction. She really enjoys the emotional beats and comments on their performances well, while Rico brings the enthusiasm
I love that "they're asking for you in the theater" line, such a fun little nod to where we are going to see Monoca again. As for the final after credit scene, her reading the book of the damned can never lead to anything good, hence the creepy music in the background. Payoff coming soon!! Exciting stuff.
The “creepy” music is actually Dr strange’s theme music from the marvel movies. Essentially told us right away that she would eventually cross paths with Dr strange, which she’s abt to do in multiverse of madness
Thanks for the great reactions you two So, the final scene with Wanda, if you listen closely can you hear the Doctor Strange theme playing, and she is learning from the book of the damned by projecting herself to the spirit dimension, just as Doctor Strange learned to do while he slept. Up until now Wanda has been incredibly powerful with no formal lessons or education, but she is now beginning her journey of knowledge. The world of magic in this universe is taking shape and where this is headed, I think is very exciting 😊 Take a peek at the new Dr. Strange trailer.
i loved wandavision so much & i dont understand why everyone hates it! it was interesting to see wanda has created a reality where she now has two boys in her world. marvel has honestly done it again with this incredible series, & now we have a scarlet witch in the making within the future!❤️
Basically the stone (Mind Stone) made her the Scarlet Witch. My theory is that ONE of the things that the Mind stone can do is transfer the consciousness and or the power and or traits of an existing character to them. for example Wanda got the scarlet witch. and Peatro got quick silver "Existing character" Meaning not necessarily in this universe or timeline.
I was so happy to see Billy, he is my favorite Avenger in life, not only because of lgbtqia, but because he really is very powerful. In the future he becomes the WICCAN, in the young avengers. 🇧🇷❤️
that post credits scene in ep 9 Wanda was using astral projection, Just like doctor strange does, so she could study magic without expending energy from her real body But she is so more powerful than him that she can use her real body and her astral body at the SAME TIME, while Steven just go Unconscious everytime he does that
I love how Monica is the only one on the youtube who pointed out how Agatha mocked Wanda about her lack of knowledge but it's knowledge that wanda used to defeat Agatha, that too given to Wanda by Agatha herself
Love seeing you two enjoy this. Real quick, what Agatha explains is that Wanda wss born a witch, which is how she and Pietro survived the bombing of their home. Her magic would've died over time, however, the mind stone, sensing her power, amplified it to the point where Wanda could tap into Chaos Magic. Wanda wasn't born "The Scarlet Witch", instead, a twist of fate allowed her to inherit the title.
I don’t know if the word “died” is correct what Agatha meant by “died in the vine” is that she could’ve gone her entire life without knowing she was a witch, I mean this is just my point of view knowing the comics the MCU could be very different but I know for a fact that Wanda’s biological uncle in the comics (the brother of Wanda’s mother who came from a powerful family of witches) like his sister had an affinity for magic but didn’t practice and for basically all of his life unwillingly used magic for his job as a doll maker… but again in the MCU that could work differently
@@dannysoncin9473 Agreeably, I don't think it would've died with her. But I always saw "died on the vine" as meaning it would have disappeared from her bloodline if she had descendants and it was never nurtured.
Photon (Rambeau) has the ability to identify and interact with different types of energy. Kinda like captain marvel, but with every type of energy she encounters
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but right after the series was completed, the directors admitted that Doctor Strange was suppose to have made a cameo in the show. Covid screwed up a lot of of the shooting of the episodes at the time, and it just didn't work out. The commercials were suppose to be secret messages from Strange to Wanda, trying to snap her out of it. The Stark toaster with the blinking red light that mimicked the stark bomb with the blinking red light. You called it the Hyrdra watch, but it was the Strucker watch (with the Hydra symbol). Strucker was part of Hydra and the one that experimented on Wanda. The Nexis commercial for the fact that she's a 'Nexis being.'
Although you can't exactly see it in the show, in the comics Monica Rambeau is easily as powerful as Captain Marvel. Super excited for her to meet Carol again and their reaction to each other! Fun Fact: Monica Rambeau even was the first female Captain Marvel years before Carol Danvers was a thing in the comics and later changes her name to Photon and then again to Spectrum. Her powers are the ability to use,- and turn into every kind of energy as well as seeing energy waves. I'm super interested to see what Level her powers in the MCU have and how her character continues!!!
Monica Rambeau's first appearance was 1982 as Captain Marvel. Carol Danvers' first appearance was in the late '60s. Danvers' first appearance as a super was 1977 as Ms. Marvel when she was given her own title/book. So while Rambeau WAS the first woman to take the name "Captain Marvel", Danvers predates her significantly. Also, while she didn't use the name Captain Marvel, Danvers was essentially that character in all but name while she was Ms. Marvel. (edit - ack, my old brain forgot about the original Captain Marvel who continued existing until 1982 when he died of cancer. Thus the name was available for Monica to take. I don't know why Carol didn't take it as her powers were very close to identical to his but this may have been during the time when she had no powers because Rogue had drained her of them.)
@@ThatBlackPiano what do you mean OG Captain America? The first CA was Steve back in the 40s. Also the first Captain Marvel was Kree, Monica was the second Captain Marvel.
@@ThatBlackPiano no, Isaiah came after Steve Rogers, not before. So to quick explain it, Wanda in the comics has code name Scarlet Witch, but they couldnt use it in the MCU as Fox owned Mutants (And Wanda is a Mutant in the comics like the X-Men) but since Disney bought Fox they could finnaly say her name.
@@sonbaty5932 She was considered a mutant when Fox bought the rights, but she was also mainly a Avengers character with strong ties to the mutants due to her debut as a x-men villain and Magneto's daughter, so she and Quicksilver became a gray area as both mutants and Avengers, though Fox owned the rights to their codenames.
@@alftuvik3820 What a lot of people don’t understand is that mutant or not Wanda is a witch always been a witch and will always be a witch. She started tapping into real magic shortly after her first introduction in the comics and was trained by Agatha harkness in witchcraft then in the 80’s we came to the knowledge of the existence of chaos magic and it was revealed that the elder go Chton touched her at birth giving her the ability to manipulate this kind of magic, Wanda’s villlains more important arcs and more important accomplishments are all of magical nature we recently come across the fact that Magneto isn’t her father and that she wasn’t a mutant after all and we know why that happened but that doesn’t mean they will reverse it just because now they have the rights to the mutants in the MCU especially since we know of Wanda’s true lineage and we met her real mother in the witches road

Commercials: Episode 1 - The Stark toaster is blinking with a red light. Like the Stark Bomb that had the blinking light in her apartment. Episode 2 - Strucker is the Hydra leader that was in charge of the Sokovia base in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Episode 3 - I think Hydra Goddess is when she joins the Avengers, This is a guess, although the line "When you want to get away, but don't want to go anywhere" is used. Episode 6 - Yo magic is the Blip, "The snack for survivors" Episode 7 - Nexus commercial is about Wanda making the 'Hex"

Strucker watches: he was the hydra officer who experimented on Maximoff twins Pietro and Wanda 3. Is Hydra Soap, the slogan was "When you want to get away, but you don’t want to go anywhere” is a direct reference to the fact that Wanda has created an alternate reality to escape from the real one, in which Vision is dead. Also the soap itself is looking like thr Tesseract. 4. Commercial, "Lagos. Yo-magic yogurt, Snack on your magic is the reference to Agatha ig, or Wanda keeping WV citizens inside her reality. 6. NEXUS pills is the reference to the Nexus beings in the comics. Monica has definitely became a full on Marvel geek! She went from not caring too much to figuring out the clues! This was an amazing series. You’re right about Wanda being so powerful. She’s considered a Nexus being so her power set is off the charts. The woman at the end was a Skrull not Kree. Most likely taking Monica to see Nick Fury. the commercials also recap the stuff in wanda's life: the stark industries toaster was about the bombing, the hydra ones were about her time with hydra (the watch is literally called a "Strucker" which was the name of the hydra guy who experimented on her), the spill cleaning rag thing was about Lagos and her accidentally blowing up the building, etc.
And even into the future with the "Nexus" drug.
Episode 8 and 9 are probably the most I’ve ever cried at anything Marvel. Losing someone is so incredibly difficult; and this show perfectly captures that.

Wanda didn't know she was a witch... her ancestors were Witches. That's why they said that the mind stone has amplified her power. More like awaken and boosted her powers more or less.
It’s too bad they didn’t make Pietro and Wanda mutants. Looks like we definitely won’t be getting X-Men in the MCU anytime soon. 😂

Commercials in all the episodes were meaningful in terms of Wanda's life, the tragedy and trauma or something that is about to happen was being foreshadowed.
Toast maker Ad --
(Catchphrase used - ' Forget the past, this is your future.') ---
A modern Toast maker in the the 50s (presumably) showing how technology is catching up and how the Starks effects the future.
Strucker Watch( Hydra Symbol ) ---
This one is no surprise, a reference to Hydra and Von Strucker of Hydra to be particular.. he was in the Avengers Age of Ultron movie, and he was the one who experimented on the twins, misguided them, abused their hatred and exploited their anger to make them into weapons. 'Accessory' is one word used in the commercial, probably means how the twins were only becoming an accessory for murder and illegal dealings for Hydra...
Hydra Soak ad ---
( Catchphrase used -- 'Find the goddess within' ) ---
This ad kind of talks about getting away from problems without going anywhere.
Lagos paper towels ad ---
( Catchphrase - ' For when you make a mess, you didn't mean to' ) ---
It is the callback to Captain America: Civil War, where Wanda stopped Rumlo's attempt to blow up Captain America alongwith a lot of civilians.
Yo-magic commercial ---
( Catchphrase - 'The snack for survivors')---
This foreshadows Vision's fate and that he is only alive because of Wanda's magic and in the real world, he can't survive. How the perfect home of WandaVision is actually fake and it will all turn into a nightmare again for Wanda, much like how this commercial started all cheery and ended very dark..
Nexus Anti-depressant --
This was the final commercial in the show and directly talked about depression.

Bro what? The lyrics are “who’s been messing up everything” and “who’s been pulling every evil string”
The song is clearly meant to portray that Agatha is the villain in Wanda’s story

"Agatha All Along" is hands-down one of the greatest tunes of all-time.
Monica always ten steps ahead with the story 😂👌

I got this wrong lol. Wanda wasn’t born with powers. Source: The darkhold says “The scarlet witch isn’t born, she is forged…”

3) the watch by strucker. Strucker was the name of the guy at beginning of age of Ultron who had the sceptor and 'created' Wanda and pietro
4) the Lagos brand paper towels.
White Vision had all of his memories back, but he still lacks emotions and feelings because of the absence of the Mind Stone
Infinity war implies he can still be Vision without the mind stone.
@@titaniumcommandrig but without feelings. Just like a normal robot

@@stevenjump8234 Depends if it's the version of him from those movies or a different version of the character played by the same actor.

The "I can't feel you" part when she finds the scientists working on visions body so reminds me of the Phantom Agony by Epica

A few days? I'm guessing you live in a different country because in most places MOM comes out in about two weeks in the first week of May, I agree with everything else you said though
I said it before and I'll say it again Monica's instincts are always on point! What a fun reaction guys seriously!
This series was one of the best parts of 2021. Every week was so exciting ! Listening to Newrockstars breakdown weekly also made it super fun! Wandavision is my fav of all the series thus far
Monica's desire to urgently watch the next episode was exactly how I felt, but I had to endure a weeks wait :)
I love how Monica turned to a Marvel fan.
Agatha little song was trending on Twitter when this episode was released
I think breaking it into 3's really helped you guys appreciate it more. 1-3 were just plain weird and left us with so many questions. 4-6 started to show us how much more there was to discover. 7-9 just blew the whole thing wide open and wrapped the whole season up so perfectly. Seeing it weekly didn't give us that clarity you guys had here.
Anyway, great reaction. I'm definitely looking forward to your other Disney+ reaction. Keep up the good work
Been watching all your MCU reactions (excellent all around) and just watched the first two parts of this yesterday. Perfect timing... 😉
Everytime i see wanda's past, i tear up
same
I thoroughly enjoyed watching your WandaVision journey. Thank you.
Watching Monica's transformation from doubter to Certified MCU Fan reminds me of Kevin Smith (the real Silent Bob) talking about how his wife gradually came to love these franchises.
I'm not a comic book guy, but Marvel has done something truly unprecedented here.
you can already tell she's going to love Loki
Next chapter of this story in only 2 1/2 more weeks!!
Episode 8 was sooo good.
Also it has my favorite line of the whole MCU. Vision had a ton of good lines throughout the years, but his "What is grief, if not love persevering." is such a beautiful statement.
Rico Is playing catch up to Monica now. She’s on point with the predictions and details.
Marvel is investing in more development for their characters, which is awesome. It makes the stories more rich and the fight scenes more meaningfull. Btw, Wanda the superior character until now.
Exactly
When Monica gets called into the theatre, the marquee says "Tannhauser Gate". That's a reference to a scene in Blade Runner, where an artificial person (kinda like Vision) accepts his death and the fact that all the moments of his life "will be lost in time, like tears in rain." It's pretty sad that even though the white Vision will probably be around, the Vision that got to be Wanda's husband and father to their kids had to disappear.
5:32 - she is "Photon" now (by her mom's call sign) - she can see and manipulate energy
So, the commercials: The hint of the commercials in the WandaVision series is that every traumatic event in Wanda's life commercials
Episode 1: Stark toaster = Stark's missle that killed her parents and nearly killed her.
I actually think the yoghurt shark ad was a nod to Agatha, "I snack on yo' magic" which is, essentially, what Agatha does, she takes your magic.
You guys are gonna love the other Marvel shows I can tell
Monica’s powers are to convert her body into any form of energy which grants her the ability to do other things like flying at the speed of light, invisibility, intangibility, energy blasts from her hands and eyes, energy absorption etc etc.
The opening credits of episode 7 was the music based on The Office with the visual of based on Happy Endings.
See - Wanda has chaos magic, she can do literally ANYTHING.
@Lauren Lewis no lol God limits himself by not trying to do everything.
Well that is why she is destined to destroy the world
Of course nothing can be completely invincible, there's always a loophole, but that's not the point, the point is until you find that loophole, that's what she is, invincible
How could y'all skip the scene with Wanda and Vision at the Avengers compound? It's the scene that explains their entire relationship, and it has the most beautiful line of dialogue in the series. "What is grief, if not love persevering?"
I was looking forward to that part 😕
@@lunasambition I really wanted to hear her reaction. She really enjoys the emotional beats and comments on their performances well, while Rico brings the enthusiasm
It’s so funny watching stuff Rico hasn’t seen but Monica clocks onto stuff quicker and more accurately lol
She’s a g, gets most of the shit she says right dunno bout Rico tho he makes some questionable statements
Thanks for the great reactions you two
So, the final scene with Wanda, if you listen closely can you hear the Doctor Strange theme playing, and she is learning from the book of the damned by projecting herself to the spirit dimension, just as Doctor Strange learned to do while he slept.
My theory is that ONE of the things that the Mind stone can do is transfer the consciousness and or the power and or traits of an existing character to them. for example Wanda got the scarlet witch. and Peatro got quick silver
"Existing character" Meaning not necessarily in this universe or timeline.
I was so happy to see Billy, he is my favorite Avenger in life, not only because of lgbtqia, but because he really is very powerful. In the future he becomes the WICCAN, in the young avengers. 🇧🇷❤️
That was clearly the theme song of the office. You have no idea how powerful Wanda is
that post credits scene in ep 9 Wanda was using astral projection, Just like doctor strange does, so she could study magic without expending energy from her real body
But she is so more powerful than him that she can use her real body and her astral body at the SAME TIME, while Steven just go Unconscious everytime he does that
I love how Monica is the only one on the youtube who pointed out how Agatha mocked Wanda about her lack of knowledge but it's knowledge that wanda used to defeat Agatha, that too given to Wanda by Agatha herself
Holy crap Monica is GOOOOOD!!! Great reaction per usual yall👏🏾👏🏾
I think the commercials were the tie ins to the memories Agatha showed her. First was the stark bomb, second was the hydra experiment etc
@@snowdenwyatt6276 Yeah I know, but I meant Carol as Captain Marvel.
Yup both of the actual FIRST super humans were Black people; the OG Captain America and Captain Marvel. 😢
The experiments upon black soldiers were an attempt to recreate Erskine's super-soldier serum after Steve Rogers went missing (frozen in the ice).
Monica Rambeau was the first female Captain Marvel, but she wasn't the first Captain Marvel, or the first female superhero. Monica first appeared in the comics in 1982.
Most beautiful show ever!!!!
I love wanda. I want to see her in more and more movies in mcu. Please don't let her character die .
I love that now, instead of just being like "okay, 🙄, we're watching another one," it's more like "just hurry up and get to the next one already!"
27:40 I’m literally crying so much rn even though I’ve watched it like 8 times
So to quick explain it, Wanda in the comics has code name Scarlet Witch, but they couldnt use it in the MCU as Fox owned Mutants (And Wanda is a Mutant in the comics like the X-Men) but since Disney bought Fox they could finnaly say her name.
wanda hasn't been a mutant in the comics for years
@@sonbaty5932 She was considered a mutant when Fox bought the rights, but she was also mainly a Avengers character with strong ties to the mutants due to her debut as a x-men villain and Magneto's daughter, so she and Quicksilver became a gray area as both mutants and Avengers, though Fox owned the rights to their codenames.
@@dannysoncin9473 Yes, but this comment was mainly about the rights to the character and why she was considered a mutant-related character/why MCU couldn't use her Scarlet Witch name before now. Her being a witch isn't really relevant to that.
I think of how she is stuck in the avengers compound.
Episode 5 - Lagos the city where she accidentally blew up a floor in the office building. Capt. America: Civil War.
Episode 6 - Yo magic is the Blip, "The snack for survivors"
Episode 7 - Nexus commercial is about Wanda making the 'Hex"
Wandavision is just amazing, also Loki is really up there, but WV is just another league!
good to see Monica so happy
I love watching your reactions. I can’t wait until y’all get into Loki.
hearing doctor stranges theme has to be the most epic theme to be heard outside its own movies
Thanks for your reaction. I love that tv series, the last episodes are very sad too.
LOVE this show SO MUCH !!!
She already had her powers before the infinity stone but it just amplified it
51:01 - yeah, those were her children shouting for help, and the music is a variation of the Doctor Strange theme
c u at the cinemas this may 6 🤣
Commercials are just a representations of her traumas or just her memories.
1. Commercial was the Stark toaster, remember it beeping? That's the Stark inc. Bomb
2. Strucker watches: he was the hydra officer who experimented on Maximoff twins Pietro and Wanda
When make a mess u didn't mean to."Lagos, It's the city from Captain America Civil War, where she accidentally killed a lot of people
5. Yo-magic yogurt, Snack on your magic is the reference to Agatha ig, or Wanda keeping WV citizens inside her reality.
6. NEXUS pills is the reference to the Nexus beings in the comics. Wanda in the comics is a nexus being, which means she's a constant being across the multiverse.
the darkhold is the same book from agents of shield and its is the book missing in dr.strange library, plus wanda and her brother are really mutants and their dad is magneto
