Thank you! So you have an iPhone.. And you can't find the correct app? Or you have the correct app and it's stuck on a certain screen of the app? I haven't flown this drone and years and forgot a lot about it. But I'll try my best to help you!

Did you calibrate the gyro with the remote before you started? I know you calibrated the GPS, but you also need to calibrate the gyro using the joysticks on the remote. Seems like that was some of the issues you were having is because of that. Great review though. I really like this drone.
Yes i calibrated both. and basically I was nit picking to show viewers what to expect. All of the budget drones fly similarly. They all move a little cause that have no sensors underneath to keep them stable. I just like to educate people of the movements budget drones will make, to encourage flying in big fields with space for error. If a drone moves like this and they're flying in their backyard or somewhere tight it may catch a new pilot off guard. So anything I notice positive or negative I just mention it and then let the viewers decide if they want it or not. :)
I'm still liking the f11. Looks more stable. The x5 video quality is great. Cheers mate. 🍻👍🖑🏃🌟✔🏍

Nice video. You had the clip upside down. Turn it the other way and you can see the buttons.

I have two of these drones and the Grand Kids fly them around often. We even have played hid and go seek with them in the back yard. To proof I found them I have to get a picture of them. I had lots of trailers and car haulers in the yard so it was so much fun.. These drones all come down very slowly. I've never had any type of delay in flying .Some people use the fake antenna as legs on a table top. I bought rechargeable double AA batteries at the get go., Great drones for the money with a lot of features comes back to home if it gets out of range too.

Nice review! You mention a delay in the stick commands. I had that to happen to my Bebop 2. After checking , I realized that I did not have my phone in airplane mod, so it was interfering with the controller.

Hey guys. Pardon my ignorance but is there a difference between the JJRC Epik X5 and the JJRC PRO? They look identical but mine doesn’t say “Pro” anywhere (box, drone, or remote)
I'm pretty sure they're the same. just different branding. Gotta watch that, a lot of companies rebrand drones and hike up the price.
The speed control is on the side were the 2 knobs are one is for adjusting camera and the other ones for the speed of the drone you have not turned it all the way up great video keep the great work up Mike Holden out of north Carolina said that
very good, as ever, review .. I have bugs 5w that is similar to x5 EPIK. What I want to point out compared to f11 is that its camera has better image quality and stability, the control is much better with digital indications. The maximum control distance can be over 1000 meters while the fpv display is close to 500 meters, but this can easily be changed by changing the antennas in the drone and the control. The only "bad" is that its fins are not folding, and the flight time is almost half of f11
Yup I already noticed a lot of those things are already new, I just added that as a catchy headline cause I have so many people asking me which one to buy F11 or X5 EPIK. So I wanted to show some of the best drones in the same price point and versus them in later videos which is why I got the Breeze and the F11 and now the X5 EPIK.

One of the best features of F11 it's being a foldable drone. When I travel it's really easy to take it with me. But I consider the camera and the controller of JJRC and the Bugs 5 better.
I agree the F11's folding ability makes it much more ideal for travel. And the drone itself has a more expensive, sturdy feeling. I also prefer the F11's controller. I like that it's rechargeable and folds up as well. Only thing I like on this drone over the F11 is the shorter field of view at 94 degrees and the gimble smoothness and the camera is slightly more stable and less shakey than the F11.

After watching numerous videos on this drone, I think your problem with control was because you didn't wait long enough for the GPS to gather signals in the beginning after to calibrated . But I have a question. With it being a cloudy day, would that effect the GPS?
That is true with waiting for satelites but the drone had like 16 satelites so it wasn't that. Budget drones in general always move a little, only reason i pointed it out is so someone new to drones can know what to expect. A lot of the budget drones are all made similar even their apps are similar. So with similar software and no sensors underneath they move around. It's just a budget drone thing, if it had sensors underneath to see where it is and lock into place it'd be a lot more stable for sure.
I am new to this but when you said the antenna were fake i looked at mine and saw that you were right I just had to laugh.
I found virtually no latency whatsoever in my EPIK when giving it inputs from the radio; it seems quite snappy in that regard.
What I do get long latency with is the real-time FPV transmission; this can have a delay of 1 to 3 seconds from what the drone sees to what you see on your cellular telephone handset or tablet computer. So it's really not good for true FPV flying (e.g. with FPV goggles) but you can still use the FPV image to line up photographs.
I could be feeling and noticing it more cause I fly the Autel Evo daily it's my main drone. So it's probably not as responsive to me cause I'm self consciously comparing it to my Evo.
The EPIK is the best drone that I've flown thus far; finances do not permit me to get my hands on Autel or DJI drones. :-(
Does the green blinking light turn solid when the battery is charged 100%?
I believe it does. I never paid attention after fully charging it honestly but in all the drones for the most part, they blink when charging then go solid when full.

I've only been a little inactive cause over here where I live it's been raining and thunderstorming every day and the few days it wasn't I was busy with work. How did you decide on JJRC vs. MJX Bugs 5W. Both are almost the same...maybe Bugs flies better?
I didn't decide, they're the same drone. I chose the X5 EPIK just cause I thought the drone itself looked better than the bugs 5w I didn't like the little monster shark face or whatever on it. The X5 looks better. Other than that they're the same. I think these drones are overpriced though. I think they should be more about $99-$109.99.
@@DenonGregory Yes, overpriced. should be between $85 and $99. I can get one for Bugs 5W for $98.
I agree. It's definitely too cheap to be 150 dollars.
The tariffs are affecting prices right now...if you look at where these were a year ago...add 25% tariff and you get the price creep we’ve been seeing the last 3-4 months apparently....across the board...F11 included

Ce l'ho da circa un paio di settimane, che dire è un prodotto validissimo l'unica pecca è la stabilità della cam.
Vibra parecchio ma devo dire che io ho apportato anche una modifica che forse l'ha appesantita troppo e quindi sono aumentate le vibrazioni.
Ho aggiunto le antenne a 5 Ghz esterne a fungo per aumentare la portata del WIFI, ma non è stata una mossa azzeccata infatti la portata è sempre limitata ma le vibrazioni sono aumentate.
Per il prodotto in se è molto valido soprattutto se uno si avvicina da neofita a questi oggetti volanti.
Il fatto di poter limitare la distanza e l'altezza da più sicurezza a chi come me ha provato la paura di perdere un drone perchè vedi che si allontana sempre di più e tu non puoi fare nulla e andando in palla peggiori solo la situazione.
Voto del prodotto sicuramente 9/decimi ma solo perchè i filmati vibrano, mentre per le foto sono molto ben definite e nitide, se i filmati fosserostabili avrei dato 10/decimi anche rapportato al prezzo.
Acquistatelo senza paura di sbagliare.

Not it's maximum height. I only flew it as high as you saw in this video.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I have tried microphone options but none were good and I use my phone and no mics work with the phone. I'm sorry you couldn't hear well.
Ibrrwatched the video at some parts I'm facing away I apologize. Next time I'll make sure to direct my voice st the camera and stay near it. But phones don't allow microphones while recording video and use an external microphone for audio capture I have microphones but none of them work with my phones, but work with the cameras. But the delima is my cameras don't look near as good as my note 9 camera so I didn't want to go back in quality visually on my channel so stuck with my phone.
