Everyone take a drink when he says "Billet"! Does the boat even have an engine? Does it move? How do you use the head? Those switches next to the helm, are they water proof? All flat floors - didn't he step down once he got on the boat? How do you keep the following seas out of the cockpit area?
No block off door under the windshield? I can't tell you how many times I've used my block off door and closed the windshield on those cold fall or spring days on my Vortex 223.
Separate dedicated fuel tanks......why? What good is a transom remote that you can't reach from the water? No cockpit sink, no sunshade, no arm rests for driver or companion, storage with the seats hinged in a way that won't even let them open completely and certainly won't stay up and out of the way on their own. They would have been better off with no hinges at all. At least that way you could get'em out of your way. Those flipable seat backs look flimsy as can be. The entire layout in general is inferior to their own 255. They should have simply expanded the awesome layout of the 255 to incorporate a sink on one side, prep space on the other side, plus the fridge, drawers and/or trash bin by expanding the two rear facing seat backs. That would have been a really nice boat. This monstrosity just comes off as a ham fisted attempt to put out anything that would allow them to say, look we have a jet boat that's bigger than our #1 competitor. I think Scarab really phoned this one in and will likely lose their shirt on this boat.
So many misuses of the term billet, how about his verb use Billeted, total nonsense as he obviously has no idea what the term means. Or his use of Billet steel. And of course, never mind that porcelain head, why?
Some things are still missing. A door Walking to the plattform. Sunshade, Navigationplotter, handwash, was there a shower? And why did you not show the boat in driving action. Was there a Joystick 🕹? For over 100k some must be are missing I guess.
Holy crap! You would think a company as large as Scarab could find a decent person to do their sales pitch. That was brutal to try and watch! Go watch Pavati’s RUclips pitch
This guy is the sales manager! But he has balls. He did not delete the comment section and his new reviews are way better… So he he picked up and learned from the comment section…
You guys are brutal,, lol he's not the best salesman, but I actually love this boat. I have a Yamaha 242 and trust me, they are not excellently built. Id love to see the difference in quality but this looks better than the 275 to me. That mini fridge could be bigger
My thoughts exactly, I don't really know why everyone was hating on the guy. I think he's an average Joe speaking to their demographic average Joe blow.
I have a 242 also. It’s a nicely fitted boat. Jet boats have limitations. They are great in a lake/bay and 25 feet is plenty big for most of those applications. That Scarab is currently a 145k boat. No tower or Bimini top. Swim platform is a mess compared to Yamaha. A new Yamaha 250 is 88k. What’s the real practical advantage of the Scarab. It’s still not something I’d take offshore. It’s just big enough to make it harder to dock or trailer.
Good morning. Currently I have a 27’ CC with outboards. I’ve been looking at the Yamaha 275. Just hate to spend that much money if the ride is wet and lots of splash inside the boat and most of all load where you can barely hear each other on the boat know how jet ski motors can be load. Pros and cons please would be a great help.
@@ZoliAkiApa I don't like that the cushions are not attached to a riser. I like the clean out ports. Better to have. To many problems with the supercharged Rotax motors. Those are snowmobile engines converted to marine use. And the biggie. Yamaha boat dealers are everywhere if need service. Scarab makes a nice boat. But to few dealers. I ordered my Yamaha last week. Pick up end of March. Happy Boating
Scarab needs to spend some time at the Yamaha factory to see how to properly design a jet boat in that class. That thing is garbage and probably REDICULOUSLY overpriced.
a shade free boating eh? nice boat but for the lack of shelter from the sun. it also needs a door to shut the forward walk through below the windshield. a fresh water wash @ the stern would be a good idea as well. yeah, nice boat but lacking a few key things.
Hi. The model here they have chosen to video for some reason doesn't include these. Usually the Scarabs come with a wakeboard tower with bimini. The 285 has a hardtop included with the wakeboard tower. Doors and fresh water showers are also available on these models :)
Dem Haitam this was sarcasm, what I meant behind it was how such a big company can make such a bad boat it makes the entire jet boat industry look like a joke. I whole heartedly agree with you and this boat is complete garbage.
If I was to buy a 28 foot boat. It would be a wakeboat because it would have actual uses for it and not be able to do nothing. My 14 year old boat has double the power and a million more uses because it’s a wakeboat.
Agreed. I have a 22' Axis that I bought new and in 6 years I've never even been wake boarding, lol. I love the layout and lounge potential and we use it mainly for fishing. If I could have my wish boat then it would be a something like my A22 but with jet drive and no ballast tanks etc. I don't want a pontoon boat, I want to lounge in a wake boat but still be able to beach it etc.
I don’t believe you… This boat has 600 horse power. There are no wake boats that are 28” long. All the wake boats are 300k and up in this class. I hear you I want a Nautique but there is no head in it at all…
Had a 255 open, CC. Nothing but problems. Mostly the Twin 150 Rotax Motor sensors. Radio amps would short out. Ended up putting in a professional boat setup. 1200$. By the way, did I mention the poor design of the 150 Rotax motors. Sad part about it, Scarab, Rotax and the dealer knew about and did nothing to assist in fixing the sensor problems. never again. Junk.
Is it me or dose the seating not look comfortable? He keeps going about billet handles. Company called Rex marine makes billet handles that put those to shame the swivel back rest and dash look like last min mickey mouse stuff.. I scarab definitely dropped the ball here.
First, this guy needs a spokesperson or at least some notecards. This was awkward to listen to. Second, between the color and the chunkiness of the design, it looks like something that was a kit project made in someone's garage. If being big for the sake of it, you might want to rethink your strategy.
Had a Scarab Back in the 90’s garbage then and the same now. They should pay someone to do this professionally, it is very sad mr. VP The head is horribly designed. Scarab... please get a good designer. Stylish? Billeted?
Such a waste. Who wants 28ft and not atleast be able to do an overnight on it. We hate our 2014 Scarab 195. So I can assume this will be just as crummy. Gas shocks for the head room. I bet only make it a few months.
My 2000 sea doo sportster 1800 is higher quality than this, more powerful, and just more practical than the scarab 195 and it was $20000 new Pls bring back the old scarab
That back solid sun lounger is just disgusting looking. It looks like a sheet of cardboard. lol. No thanks, the Yamaha's crush this boat in every category. They won't be making these for too long. Sales will be way down.
@@Beniamin6665 No they don't lol. I'm one of the top salesman in the country for Yamaha Marine I'm on the phone every day with service departments and dealerships across the country. Nothing is perfect but our product is insanely good. Nice try Ben. Go to sleep little boy.

How many times does he say boat? And it's also for entertaining people, what a concept.
10 times in the first minute.
I do like the Ironman helmet on the seats.
CEO of Billeted
No comparison to the Yamaha 275SD
James Tonda amen
Price is cheaper
I'm not sure, but this might be a 28 foot boat with all kinds of room
Handles are perfectly placed to bang your shins and knees on.
No block off door under the windshield? I can't tell you how many times I've used my block off door and closed the windshield on those cold fall or spring days on my Vortex 223.
I’m interested in buying this boat

I was thinking same. The seating and dash are worthy of a Bayliner. Sad
If only it had some billet aluminum...
So many misuses of the term billet, how about his verb use Billeted, total nonsense as he obviously has no idea what the term means. Or his use of Billet steel. And of course, never mind that porcelain head, why?
Given the number of times, he says billet, am I to assume it weighs 20 tonnes?
This might be better than the Yamaha. Did they fix the clean out system for the impeller system? Yamaha has never had that problem ever.
No I’ve met multiple people who’s check engine lights under 50 hours DO NOT BUY THESE Pieces of shit , buy a Yamaha
Very upgraded windshield 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Needs a few more cup holders and they ones they do have need to be relocated.
World best boat
Is it rain proof ?
Nice, no cabin?
so it's a 28 foot boat right?

So … does it actually move … or just sits on a dock?
right! very poor display.
Super charger probably broken.
Right! Where's the most important part? The powerplant?
Probably sets at dealer. The previous models took a month for simple repairs
Doesn't look like much storage space on that yacht at all. I wouldn't be able to store as much in that 28 footer as I do my 21 footer. No way!
That dude sounded slightly desperate!
Is he sure it’s leather on the dash. That doesn’t seem like a good idea on something that gets wet and hit by sun all of the time.
So is there a step or it’s flat all the way and no steps ? Is he lying or plain crazy ?
I like it , the look is cool with out a top and all but no way Id have a boat with no top. The should make it with a removable hard top option
Where can I contact
Looks like the designer of Tesla cyber trucks made this boat.
How much is it

Mangusta make jet boats. What is his definition of a jet boat (Mangusta have 160 ft yachts)
A jet boat is literally just a boat with a jet propulsion engine in it

This boat looks like you took pieces from other boats and puzzeled them together,,Yamaha blows this boat away
No sun protection...? Ill pass....
Exactly. He keeps on saying it's such a big boat but it has the overhead protection of a jetski.
Not everything was hinged though. Cought him by surprise. Poor narratation. Useless
I’ve seen switch panels on demo derby cars that looked better than that. Who on earth would buy this when the Yamaha 275SD exists?

Billet Counter Broke
A boat that cost $100,000 needs a bed, AC because that’s price of a House
Juan Bengochea Nautique makes a wakeboard boat that starts at over $250,000
No bed in a Ferrari too !!! absolutely scandalous !!!! Big up for you Juan !
