100% agree with staying with one brand/manufacturer as long as the equipment is good. Your employees don't have to learn about all the controls for different brands. Efficiency is time and time is money in your pocket. If you're loyal to a dealer, they will be more willing to give you better deals.
When my dad owned a land clearing buisness, he ran a few different brands, but all but one came from the same dealer. The dealer he bought from sold deere, Hitachi, takeuchi, and ASV so he had plenty of options. Dealer support is key!
We run CAT and FORD. Cat because they have treated us way better than any other brand. Funny the new bobcats completely copied cat design. Ford because I've ran Chevy, Ford, and dodge. Ford has been the best towing and handling. It's a fine balance between dealer support and performance. Sounds like you got it figured out for you. Great videos
cat and ford... you must of had 4-7 full time mechanics who pretended they could figure out your problems until they said we should auction this unit multiple times. ditch those two brands ditch your full time mechanics and start making money.
The bobcat skid loaders didn’t work the best for our company, so we moved over to all Cat skidloaders. The build quality and ride seems better in the Cats but they are expensive. Good luck thanks for the vid 👍
I work for a rental service in the same building as a Bobcat dealer. There hard working beast. If seen coming in for repairs its user abuse usually, other than typical fluid, belt, etc changes for tune ups.
I completely agree with you about buying a brand that works for you I bought a case skid steer and the first day I had a hydraulic leak it was just a hose loose I haven’t had any problems since and I went back and bought an excavator from them and told them about the hose and they gave me my money back for the hydraulic oil I had to buy
Can't speak to the newer doosan bobcats, but my experience with the kubota powered skidsteers and excavator has been awesome. I purchased both machines used and other than pins/bushings/hoses they've been trouble free!
I always go with bobcat because it’s the closest dealer to us so if we need maintenance it’s quick and easy. Not to mention we have a great relationship with our dealer and we love the machines
I think part of the balance you have to strike as an owner is buying the best machine for the job that needs to be done, even if that machine is a different brand or from a different dealership. We can't do what we've always done just because we've always done it. Before I started my own company my old boss bought machines based off of relationships with dealers more than actual machine performance, reliability, serviceability etc which was super frustrating for the the guys that actually had to use and work on the machines. For example In northern CA a takeuchi skid steer for dirt work is one of the best but I wouldn't buy a rubber tire machine from them. Be open minded, give your guys different stuff to try occasionally and get there feedback. This might help you continue to make good decisions. Thanks for the video and your hard work.
After looking at what I had accomplished after spending a couple of hours in my Bobcat T-200 I realized I had just done the work of 100 guys. Love that thing
I like the old bobcats.. went to the dealer and I see to many new ones there in the yard waiting to be fixed or they can't find what's wrong with them.
Yep, they all have problems, so buy where you get Service! We have a local Deere dealership working on low hour bobcats because the bobcat dealer can't fix them.... I hate to hear this because all I've ever owned has been bobcat.
@@twoguncorcoran4733 yes it is... the same thing the dealer told me on the 1.bobcat straight said we can't find the problem its been here for weeks. Main reason why I didn't buy a new 1. Even the new mini excavators are jerky and not as nice as the older ones.
We run Takeuchi’s and like you, have a great relationship with our dealership. We do have one ASV RT40 but that’s because we needed a small machine and that’s the brand we found that made the best setup for that size machine. A product is only as good as the dealer support.
Still have a 2007 s185 with foot controls that I purchased new in Dec 06. With a loegering track system it will go ANYWHERE and has been a great machine that has paid for itself many times over. My 2 friends with cat 257/259 have both had to replace motors in less time. Just sold my ‘18 t750 and looking to order a new t770. Curious how this ones still working out for you now that you’ve switched to cat?
We sold this one to a local guy. He’s still using it works good. We haven’t entirely switched to cat only have 3 cat track loaders. Still have 7 or snow bobcat track loaders
Hey man I'm in the middle of purchasing my first skid steer for my business I've been renting a t770 and like it a lot the dealer is trying to sell me on a t76 I push a lot of structural fill around and knock down a lot of piles with my skid steer does this t76 hold its own against the t770 or should I go with a t770 I really like all the features of the t76
Amazing short summary Garret! I get you with keeping the same brands…I run Bobcat’s as well and they’ve been reliable. Keep on building your business the smart way 👏bravo you’re a hard worker
I ran a John Deer 325 1000 hrs in the seat before I got the 2014 Bobcat T650 which I have 1000 in the seat. I don't miss the floor pedals controlling the bucket on the Deer. I love the one joystick drive and one joystick electric over hydraulic controls in the Bobcat. Very few issues with the Bobcat to date. Just replaced the treads at 950 hours. The only other thing I would consider over the Bobcat is the JCB Teleskid. Side entrance, better dust and rain sealing, reach, more ergo controls and readouts, and better serviceability. I wish the Bobcats were more sealed up because packats will get inside and chew wires, ac lines, build nests. The oil drain hose in the bobcat was a PITA to fish through the frame, I ended up drilling out a larger hole so I didn't have to fight with it every time. I don't like the Bobcat Window wiper position, right in front of the action, shaking rattling rolling the whole time, ready to bang your knee when getting into the cab.
i agree with you. Stay with one brand like a Bobcat. Your dealer have a lot to do with it... A dealer being close to is important thing. I all one kind is good because can maybe rob parts to keep one going if it brake down and get parts quick if they are alike....
@@GarrettWilliams2017 Oh okay, thanks, just asking cause our village is searching for skid steer... To maintain our roads in the village, consider me a new sub
Well when you have multiple employees having the same setup for machines means all your employees can run that machine don't have to keep track of who can run what.
@@GarrettWilliams2017 your welcome! Glad to hear that and I really enjoyed speaking with you! Keep up the good work! It really is a joy to continue to watch you guys grow and succeed!

An honest, no bull-shit opinion. Too rare nowadays, and appreciated. A new subscriber here and already a fan.

Your spot on ! Very wise young man !
you touched on the #1 factor. Dealer service and support is much more important than brand.

you will never get good support from cat.. ford has good support but a product that fails in every possible way.
The bobcat skid loaders didn’t work the best for our company, so we moved over to all Cat skidloaders. The build quality and ride seems better in the Cats but they are expensive. Good luck thanks for the vid 👍

I run a t190 everyday love that thing only thing I don't like it it's foot pedal an it hurts my knee after a while of working the pedals.
Yep! Exactly why we only buy joy stick machines
What do you think about 5 link suspension
It’s aight
Western plow with short iron fab back blades too

I'm in Minnesota and I always buy Chevy duramax 2015 to 2019 body style and catapillars. I love the 0% interest for 60 months
Can’t go wrong with the 15-19 body style
For tight access / what would your pick be
S70
MT100
Depending of if I was working in dirt or on a hard surface. If I was in dirt I’d use a Mt if I was on a hard surface I’d use a S70
When are you going to do a shop update do a equipment tour
This winter! Our equipment is way to spread out right now!

Little big for what we do at this time

Right! For working around in our area Bobcat is hands down the best option at the moment!
Bobcat rocks great dealers and white always looks good just wish they didn't discontinue the A770 nothing like it ☹

Love it!
ALL machines have issues. I buy the DEALER….because when I have trouble a great dealer makes it go away! And that’s why I buy Bobcat.
Because bobcat is a beast machine! I wish I would buy one but $ 🥺
All I will buy is Chevy, bobcat and JCB for work
Awesome!
Bobcats and Chevy all the way!!
am i the only one who operated cat and hated it?
I’m sure there are a few others😹
I like them equally
When you need parts for the Kubota engine, your Bobcat dealer may not be able to help you. Go with Kubota all the way.
We don’t we use cat
Buy whats close to you. Period
