alot of young people dont understand that the real enjoyment of travelling isnt the destination, its everything you see while getting there, now that everyone hops on a plane, nobody truely understands that.
I plan to drive from Lagos to South Africa next year 2023. I started watching Andrew St. Pierre White and his travels in Africa in 2014. But this Oga has motivated me.
He should have a RUclips channel if he doesn't have one already. You could sense he is techie, and has flair for automobiles. And,he is a good narrator too. He should look along the line of having a channel for some talking on these things. Well done, Mr. Babatunde!
I don't know who needs to see this but am here to just tell you that this week the Lord shall come through for you and bring a smile on your face, you too shall know true happiness.😊🥰🙏❤️
This is amazing, I'm very happy about the amazing things Nigerians are doing all over the world, this guy is a hero, is not an easy drive to cross the Sahara Desert.
I enjoyed the video. And it was fascinating listening to his experiences. I wondered whether a borderless African continent would cause populations spikes and sprout diverse thriving travel economy industries and infrastructure complexes along the main thoroughfares. This was a great human feature story. Continue the outstanding work.
I'd say most people would drift to countries where there are better employment opportunities as happened in Europe a few years ago. For example Polish people came on big numbers to UK. As for tourism it seems your average African prefers anywhere but their own continent unfortunately
@@ifeifesi vert true, they have no love for where their forefather were born. they run aboard and never make any contribution to make their countries better for future generation. they are always living aboard of another man sweat.
This is what bad leadership has denied us in Nigeria; adventure. Life is not about waking up and going to work daily. Driving from Lagos to say Sokoto, Niger Republic, Cameroon, Ghana or even spending days camping in bushes. We need to start living.
Exactly that is what living are all about , not just getting up from bed 🛏️ heading to work and coming back Repeating same old things each and every day
It isn't safe anymore to do that dear...evil people are now everywhere, those in search of organs or occult killings. Better live in your house or camp in your garden or better travel to places where you are not all alone.
Wow... This is interesting! Well done Sir! I salute your courage! A Kenyan friend of mine who lives in America, bought a new car in South Africa and drove it from there all alone to Nairobi. It took him five days. I was so thrilled by his story, and Babatunde's is even more thrilling! My friend said that, although it was an interesting experience, he will not do it a second time because of his encounters with border officials. I don't know why we, Africans are so suspicious of one another. When are we going to learn to be nice to one another? When will Africa truly be a union?
ITS THROUGH MORE OF SUCH STORIES , that we shall begin to, see all possibilities, undo some of our ignorances,Embrace each other, appreciate our selves,e.t.c. NO HUMAN BEINGS, HAVE BEEN MORE BLESSED THAN AFRICANS!!!!..(BUT WE NEVER REALISE THIS!!!!..UNTILLL U GET OUT OF AFRICA THEN U BEGIN TO SEE!!..😀😀
Exactly! Everyone seemed to forget about the Vanagon in the early 2000s. European millennials brought the trend back. Nowadays Westfalias are very popular in SoCal, where I'm from. They are so popular that they retain their resale values despite being a 40+ year old van. My wife and I bought one. We use it on weekends for camping trips, visiting family, etc. Absolutely awesome utility vehicle but it took a little while to get used to people staring on the road. It's definitely the type of van that makes people take a glance.
Nice hearing about your adventure, I built a vanagon camp van here in Lagos Nigeria, I wanted to make a tour of nigeria with my family, but because of the insecurity, I sold the Van sadly, I miss the van dearly, I pray for a better NIGERIA were we can live out our fantasy without fear or intimidation. Thumbs up Bro.
Great video! I have some advices to help with your techs. Did he think of solar? Not the super big ones but the smaller ones. There are fans that comes with solar panels that can help cool you, power some LED lights and charge other smaller/portable devices. There are small fans that cools when water is added. In regards to your hot cell phone, change your stereo to double dins that has CARPLAY. You can keep your phone away from the sun and use your car stereo as navigator
I will like to hear more stories that isn't about monetary success but just one brave soul doing the impossible. Too many people only think monetary success and that ain't cool..being different too can be a huge success money can't buy.
alot of young people dont understand that the real enjoyment of travelling isnt the destination, its everything you see while getting there, now that everyone hops on a plane, nobody truely understands that.
My kind of man. This is the kind of adventures I want to be doing starting with driving around Nigeria. Thanks for sharing bro.

This van is modest and lovely...I would love to have this for my road trips in Nigeria.
This just goes to prove that limitations are in the mind, once you're determined to achieve something, it is possible.
