- 2023 has been an amazing year for DigitalBattlefieldTours, but I haven't really had the chance to share this with my audience, so in this video we will look back at the past year, review the statistics, the projects and more.
We will also be looking ahead at some of the videos you can expect in 2024 and discuss some frequently requested topics.

Thanks for watching!
Excited for your upcoming videos!
Looking forward to next year! The Webster series was truly something I looked forward to as each episode came out.
An interesting topic that is not that far off the WW2 would be the "Indonesian war of independence". In general, the Dutch colonial adventures and misadventures are sorely underrepresented on YT.
But that is just a suggestion for future consideration!
Frohe Weihnachten und einen guten Rutsch!
Great suggestion!
This video was originally going to include an entire segment on the Dutch-Indonesian War and why I would like to cover it, so your suggestion is really on point!
It's a conflict I'm familiar with (both my bachelor's and master's theses were on it) and will certainly feature on the channel at a future point.
Awesome!@@DigitalBattlefieldTours
Really enjoy the format of your videos and channel and the art work in some of them is impressive as well keep up the great work!
Thanks for the update. I found all of your videos very interesting, but the "Webster's War" series were my favorite. The battle narration while at the actual location is seldom seen, but do what ever is best for the channel. I'm sure I will keep watching regardless, because of the quality of the information. I wish you good fortune in the future.
Thank you very much!
Excited for your future videos! Adding onto small unit tactics - could you do a comparison of firepower/tactics between ROK and DPRK infantry platoons? That is, if the respective field manuals are avaliable.
If I may be allowed to suggest a topic:
I really wonder how defensive and offensive forces use the terrain features like gullies, hills, ravines, rifge lines and hollows in the land. If possible, this should be discussed using an an actual battlefield as an example. For example, in passchendaele, how germans fitted their defensive lines placed their pillboxes into the existing ridge lines?
Thanks for the suggestion!
I plan to include the use of terrain features like reverse slopes in a future episode of Teaching Tactics dealing with defensive tactics.
@@DigitalBattlefieldTours Thanks a lot, that will really be interesting...
Hello! What happened to your virtual guided tour videos of different nations' infantry companies? I can no longer find those videos on your channel.
Hi Michael,
Those videos have been unlisted as they were an experimental format that I only used for my first few videos and no longer fit the channel.
You can still watch the virtual guided tours (and other unlisted videos) here: www.patreon.com/posts/links-to-legacy-75990714
It's a publicly accessible Patreon post where all the links to my unlisted videos are grouped.
Really great content! I wonder why you guys don't post videos more frequently?
Thanks!
I make all videos on my own, so that's why it takes time.
Just the research can easily take months and then there's the recording, editing, making the visuals etc.
The scope of my projects also tends to increase as I work on them, so the videos get longer but they also take longer to complete.
I don’t know why you removed the OrBat videos? Those were your most popular and were so good.
what were those?
Could you do a usmc bittalion and a tactctis
Sorry without à serious engineering degree you can't understand operational art. Any way an interesting channel besides the Dutch accent..
