Brand identities are supposed to be built to last. The reality is that most identity programs - no matter how well strategized, crafted, and tested - are merely guesswork. It’s impossible for a designer to know what cultural, political, economic, and technological shifts will occur in the future. Join Pentagram Partner Paula Scher as she debunks the myths about identity design through a series of case studies.
    You’ll learn:
How and why logos are crafted in specific ways
How audiences can shape the way an identity is perceived
How an identity program can change with the times
Why brand manuals are mostly useless in the long run

Amazing! I love that we live in an age where we can just watch masters of the craft talk about their process, on-demand and for free. So grateful to Paula for being willing to share her knowledge and experience. My goal is to go to Adobe Max in the next few years and soak up all those creative vibes.

I am a Graphic Designer, and watch this conference
helped me out to understand in a better way the
process of creating a logo; sometimes it's complex
to understand clients, but it's important to listen up
every word they speak because it's from a
conversation where an idea can be born

There’s a presentation where I believe Paula gives such a better insight into the Windows logo and how each of the following logos were derived from that perspective chart, giving a dynamic look at how you can formulate different shapes and forms from different perspectives and with “square window panels”. It made me really appreciate a logo that I always thought lacked any sense of creativity.
It’s a reminder that context matters!

Now this is graphic design that I am use to. The thought, the process, and result. These IG designers are good but not like this. I will much rather follow this and take from this kind of examples, then what I see in IG.

Americans design, see and perception in totally different to what Europeans do. In Europe we think clockwise, lower case, right to left movement, from down to up, (in America anticlockwise movement. Eg "Ciritirium"). Strange.
