- This here is the first ever perfect nightmare survival solo clear without the use of any animation cancels, exploits, "advanced tech" or whatever you choose to call these things. A straight up clean perfect win using all intended mechanics by design. I mention this in hopes to inspire others in the community to enjoy this amazing combat system naturally the way it is. I hope this video can shed some light on the fact that players need not rely on these things to be good at the game but of course at the end of the day play the way that is fun for you.
This challenge was not easy and undoubtedly took some skill to pull off but more than that it takes a ton of focus, planning, preparation and strategy. This was exceptionally hard for me as I am not nor have I ever been a speed runner so to achieve this win I had to force myself to learn how to effectively spawn kill as if I were in a speed run. I wanna give a shoutout to BozQ (Benny Ong) for teaching me about control points at the spawns and for making this sick thumbnail! Due to the time constraints in share factory I edited this video to fast forward through certain "boring" parts that dealt with planning and preparation. I learned a lot from your video's especially in terms of tactics. So today i finished my first duo plat with a random. Two guys disconnected at wave 2, so we made it till the end. Either of us were one time down and the feeling as the last mongol went down was incredible 😎

Your duo story is awesome and reminds me of the days when I first started actually getting good at this game. That's how I got better. Same thing. In a NMS and 2 players disconnected. One guy who later became my friend stuck it out with me and felt awesome to win with 2 players. Since than I've always loved the challenge of duo and eventually led me to solo too. I know that feeling. Nice win! Keep at it.

Can i ask the difference between wind stance and moon wich one staggers faster ? Cus the wind kinda effective against the spearmen wich are annoying but idk if i should use moon for better staggering before the heavenly
Sure man. So wind does work better for staggering Spearman and moon works better against brute type enemies. Moon stance is great on the stone striker. Give 2 kicks to an oni brute and they stagger. Follow up with a HS to take them out. Very effective. Wind is great for the oni lord enemies though. A few typhoon kicks to stagger. Follow up with the HS for high dmg. The reason I ran moon on this run was to utilize the moon kick to move a last surviving enemy in a wave away from the zone to give me time to reach the next spawn, move a barrel or prepare for the next wave.

Excellent run buddy. I share the same stance as you on exploits and certain animation cancels like MMC. They should be removed.

That description sounds a lot like you’re taking jabs/discrediting afn & just simply any world class players who use animation cancels like mmc reload canceling etc… I can understand if you dislike it/don’t prefer to use it, I personally don’t prefer using mmc but not because I think it’s a cheese tactic, but simply because I never care to do it. I think it’s disrespectful and unfair to basically say you’re better than other players and they aren’t skilled because they’re using those cancels. Everyone has their playstyle and they’re all skilled with or without the cancels. I don’t use aim assist on my hunter and never get melee kills unless there’s a perfect parry objective… however im never gonna discredit anyone who uses aim assist or gets melee kills with a hunter because both playstyles take skill and time getting used to. It’s okay to say you did it without animation cancels but to make it sound like anyone who DOES use them isn’t skilled, that’s where it’s just not cool man.
I'm not quite sure what lead you to assume my description is a jab at any word class players who use cancels/exploits? Thats your own perception man. Certainly not the case or intent. I have respect/have been inspired by the players your mentioning and said nothing in the description to elude to what your assuming. Yes, I choose not to play with exploits or cancels but whether others do or not means nothing to me. Where in the description did I "basically say I am better than others who use animation cancels?" Does this not sound honestly extremely fucked up? You’re basically implying that anyone who’s done animation cancels such as afn, joey, etc… are RELYING on “cheese tactics” to have “said skill” as if saying they don’t have skill because they “rely” on animation cancels..
@@__ds okay so first you were talking about the description now your going on to some personal conversation I had with another player and I don't think you hardly know the context of the conversation and both sides of it or why I said this to the person and it honestly doesn't matter. Yes, I did say that but there was more to it than that and no this statement is not implying that players who use these things don't have skill. Skill is determined by much more than just techs used as you should know. There's a lot more to the game than just that. Do I think some of these exploits are cheese tactics and make the game easier when learned....yes I do. That still does not imply that I am saying players who use exploits/cancels have no skill. Specially when the assassin jumps n activates his wotf it looks shorter than usual wotf animation when you stand in one place and activate it. N it hardly makes any difference..
