    I really cherish Guy’s videos. I’m a 42 yr. old patch ‘n’ paint guy who’s been doing this for 20 years and I ALWAYS get something out of your videos Guy. I wish you’d offer a “weekend” with Guy school just for fans and compatriots to come and hang and talk the trade etc. with you. I’ve had both my hips replaced and am still having complications but I’VE GOT TO WORK to feed my family and take care of my Wife & Daughters, That Kilted S.O.B. has some good knowledge to pass on… I need my naps throughout the day too. That could be an enticing addition to the “Weekend w/ Guy” program! Participants get to lay back and nap in a recliner next to yours at various intervals throughout the day! WHERE DO I SIGN UP?!?!

      Hey thanks, I appreciate hearing that. I do plan to hold workshops throughout the country some time, maybe starting next summer. I probably need to be a little bigger first, but growing by 8-10k subs a month. AND I do plan on putting out some training courses which will be really thorough and have tons of tips and tricks in them, so be watching for that announcement. I'll offer mutliple courses in varying levels, etc, including a texture matching course, and more. These will be the best out there and well worth it.

    I've been able to fix curved & stained ones by taking them down, getting them damp enough to bend, reversing them (lying face down), and letting them dry on clean concrete (preferably pressure washed &/or bleached first, then swept clean) in direct sun (I live in Florida, can usually fry eggs on a hot sidewalk)... then when dry, flipping them over (face up), spraying all of the stained areas with 50:50 laundry bleach & water, and letting them dry again.

    Zinsser is the Best Primer and Stain Blocker ever invented. I have used Zinsser Cover Stain oil based primer for over 3 Decades. It has a bonding agent that allows Acrylic and Latex to stick. The only restriction for application would be sealing spot repairs on a wall if your using Satin or Eggshell because those areas will be shinier than the walls.

    Will this work on a sheet rock ceiling as well?

    • @ThatKiltedGuyDIY
      @ThatKiltedGuyDIY  3 года назад +2

      I doubt the color will match so well but it should hide the stains

    • @davem145mxr

      Yes I’ve used it but it does depend on the ceiling color itself

    Love all your videos and thank you , however this is a great fix for the esthetics of the ceiling tile however it wrecks the acoustical value of the product and it is no longer able to perform as it's intended to. So yes it is a good fix but also please remind people that it will ruin the integrity of the ceiling tile itself by painting and filling the mineral fibers in the tile you have to use a special paint and application to do so. Keep up the great videos I go to them almost every week to learn something new or refresh myself

    • @ThatKiltedGuyDIY
      @ThatKiltedGuyDIY  2 года назад +2

      That was a special paint, just for water stained tile, and it's seldom done on enough area to affect the acoustical value.
