For those wondering why we didn’t use the melon, I decided it was too dangerous as the weight of the melon might effect the grip on the sword. We tried it sat on a table but it looked pretty “meh” so I didn’t include it in the edit. - Gav

I really love your videos. But there is one thing that always bugs me when you use a katana (mild OCD at play here). You hold it the wrong way. Your hands are too close together (called choking the katana). That is the reason you don't have free movement while swinging. You hold the katana properly, that watermelon weight wont be an issue at all. Cheers and thanks for the amazing video :-)

The thing that was most fascinating about this video was watching his eyes track the thrown fruit in slow motion. The human eye moves faster than our cognitive thoughts can! It was honestly quite beautiful to watch him reflexively watch the fruit as it came closer to him. It makes me quite thankful to have a nice pair of the ol' eyeballs.
Being blind in one eye, I can say "yes, you should be thankful you have both".
@@AndrewVelonis Yeah, a very close family member of mine is also blind in one eye, and it obstructs aspects of her daily life fairly significantly. Better than being completely blind, but I’m sorry that’s the situation you both are in.

Yeah. Remember how in cartoons when tomatoes are thrown that hit with a splat? If you want to recreate that kind of effect you're gonna need a strong arm and someone who is willing to be the lab rat to suffer though your 'physics test'. Like the strength of your throw,the wind resistance that comes with the velocity needed to throw the tomato,how far is the target relative to your position,what angle to throw it,the trajectory needed to achieve a near possible splat,how much force would be needed to break a tomato on impact,and much punishment could your lab rat could take before suffering from concussions or the breaking of a bone.
This channel has the most wholesome videos.
