Not even close mate. Chinese folding phones are wiping the floor with Samsung at the current moment. Go look up something like the vivo x fold 3 pro- thinner, better hardware, bigger screens, flagship cameras 100 watt charging with an included fast charger in the box- double the screen brightness at over 4000 nits (which is insane) and a far greater battery. Samsungs taking the apple route and it's a damn shame. My last phone just broke and I'm waiting to see if they release a z fold 6 ultra otherwise I'm switching brands.

My OnePlus open beats my z-fold 5 in literally every metric, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was way over hyped, I heard some reports early on saying that it was like 40% better than Gen 2, yet I have actually seen the Gen 2 chip do some processes more quickly and open apps more quickly than the supposed amazing Gen 3. So I'm definitely not changing from the open to this when it comes out

@TheHoldersCook it will happen within a year. Depending on how much times you open it of course (I open mine alot more than probably most people so take that with a grain of salt). You do have a year warranty if that happens but I suggest you get an insurance just in case. Like the other comment says, GREAT conversation starter and do it all phone. The price is ridiculous though.
Went from the fold 3 to the OnePlus open because the front cover display is too narrow. I still find myself using the inner display more than the outer but on the Samsung, it was very frustrating. Putting them side by side , its funny how narrow the fold 3 was.

Can someone tell me, if have problems with the 4 or 5s folds like the screen or do they not have a case to Protect the whole screen if you Accident drop it ??? I have a samsung note 20 ultra and i have a case on it still cracked the back from dropping it, but if this one dont have more Protection from not cracking then its a waste money for me to buy, and is the flip one good or no
I got a good thick on on Amazon that has a slot in the hinge for an s pen. It's pretty durable. Mine has dropped before with ans without case rocks , concrete I also used to work in a steel mill with tons of dust and my screen was fine .

That's how it used to be. Companies used to wait at least two years before another major release from the same series. After the S6/S6 Edge was the S6 Edge+ or the iPhone 6 series then the 6s series. We know not to expect any major upgrade or changes after a major release. It's changed now, and that's why people expect new changes and upgrades every year

Ive had the fold 3, 4 and now 5. Without a significantly wider outer screen and a major overall of the mid range cameras I will not be buying a fold 6. Time for Samsung to stop being so lazy especially considering there are other superior options now. They do not have a monopoly on foldables in 2024

I've had all Z Fold models 1 to 5. I'll have to get the ZF6 because micro cracks always begin to form at the fold on the inner screen.
