i have 2 of these! one at home, one at office. it's by MILES the best mac dock. not cheap, but awesome, and the ONLY dock that really can do things like 3x 4k screens @ 60hz (because of dual thunderbolt).
I prefer the landscape format of the cottage. To me, it is balanced better in terms of the proportion of river to the cottage and to the sky. I can see nothing wrong with sharing favourite photo locations. Different photographers will have a different take on any location and will produce a different image. There are also many other conditions such as the time of day and weather as to why two shots would unlikely to be the same. I would also feel really proud if someone else wanted to try to emulate an image which I had taken.
I’ve been using a plug able 3 hdmi dock for years with my MacBook Air running my entire studio. If this supported my MacBook Air I would have bought a few of them.
Or a caldigit TS 3 or TS4 :) caldigit always makes prime docks, and they even have a portable thunderbolt one as well. And it works - rock solid, for a long time (years) of use
Great video, man. Thanks! Didn't know I needed this (or that such a thing was available) 'til I saw your video. ***BTW ... where'd ya get the cool woven leather bracelets we see at about **3:08**?? Inquiring minds want to know.***

Hello Mark. About the 4:18 mark of this video you show a picture of a truly quad set up. Can you tell me exactly what your components are, how to set this up? Thanks.
@@Docmakestrades You’ll need a Mac running a Max or Ultra chip to start off. Then hook up two monitors via HDMI (4K 60) and two via USB C (one will output 4K 60 and the other 4K 30). You’ll be able to configure each screen in the display settings of your Mac.

Shame it doesn't have display link for running multiple monitors off the base M chips. While display link isn't great, it does provide for multiple monitors (currently running 3 off of an M1 mini with a DL dock).
I have one of these, it over heats a lot and needs to be restarted. Only running 1 4K display. It is a good dock otherwise but it need to be unplugged at least once a day to cool off.
I haven’t had that issue running a 4K display with multiple ports connected. I noticed some heating issues but found it sorted itself out eventually (I had more than 5 devices charging at one point).
@@ThatMarkGilroy I am using most of the ports on the back and a yubikey on the front. Didn't mean to imply I was only using the monitor port.
