I was a driver in this exact vehicle when I was in the Swedish army and it’s super fun to see it in game!

Edit: and yeah one thing they missed i believe is that the barrel is covered with some type of material that cover it from heat signatures with IR

@@spaa2927 no but there are technically 3 sights you can look at as the gunner. The standard 8 times sight, thermal sight that is 1 times to 8 times if I remember correctly and than a 1 times sight
Just a note about backups- you can buy as much as you want as long as you don't exit the warbond shop after buying the 1st set of 10x. I used all of my (i think the max tickets is 3600) for buying 10x backup packs

to note the strf9040b (stridsfordon 9040B) is the standard in service version for the swedish army, the strf9040c is a add-on package that's been used in places like afhanistan
The B version has now been modernized into the D2 and the A variant to the D1. It's a true privilege to work with these vehicles

Tbh the 9040c doesn’t need to be 10.0 it should really be 9.3 or 9.0 it’s slower and just has its gun compared to the m3a3 or the dardo
I can agree to som extent as i want to use my precious C variant more but the gun is still the best in the game

@@deathmacke9474 gun is the same for all CV-90's, ammo is best 40mm APFSDS. But you pay like 170 Sl per dart at 5 shots per second that can get expensive real quick, same with the HE VT shell, cool to have but you need trigger discipline.
@@baske_7441 It's hilarious because the 9040b is 8.3, the 9040c gets a better round and moved to 10.0, meanwhile the 9040 BILL gets a slightly weaker round, top attack missiles with 400mm of pen, and 9.7.. Like what kind of monkeys are making these battle ranks in Gaijin?
@@baske_7441 You don't pay that per shell lmao, imagine that, that would make you lose massive money with every fast firing small caliber gun. You pay that amount of SLs once by chosing that ammo. But not for every shot lol. At least I definitely don't. The only thing that gets expensive real fast is repair costs of certain vehicles if you lose them in battle. Like if i lose kugelblitz and marder a1a1 in one game then I might end up losing quite a few SLs after the game instead of gaining.
So if this thing is unfair at 8.3, do you guys think the BMP2M is fair at 8.7?

@@Sjoerdwm1981 bagel has proxy, but only on its gun, and it’s not stabilized like the BMP. It has thermals, but so does many other tanks at that br. Unlike the Bagel, the BMP gets proxy missiles, on top of its Tandem missiles, which it can fire on the move unlike the bagel (it also only has one launcher and has less total missiles). The 2M also has a better gun. Not really in terms of pen, but in terms of usefulness. It’s better for knocking aircraft out and is more useful for dealing with lighter vehicles, which the bagel usually doesn’t do to well against since they are more often than not armed with auto cannons (and sometimes stabilizers.) that can rip it apart. The bagel has every reason to be at 8.3. The BMP2M has no reason to be at 8.7.

Oh my god reading about the PTL02 i Shot this damn Thing 6 times with the olifant mk1 with m111 apdsf and he wasnt aware where i Was Till the 6th Shot and he shoots back and onehits me... rly no armor is better than just a bit armor
@@lafosh7234 Fax, the other STRF variants are protected against 30mm APDS, while this thing can be killed by .50 cals through the front of the turret.

Apfsds does jack shit to heli unless it hit the crew or the engine.
Had he shot HE he would have OHK the heli.
He got the kill because he crited the engine and the heli crashed

Apfsds goes through soft targets rarely even leaving shrapnel, it's a chance he just didn't hit the pilot

This was the vehicle I was most excited about in this update. I unlocked it in a day. I have been playing it ever since. Cool vehicle.
The reason why this thing is able to preform at top tier is because most MBT's at that tier like Leopards, leclercs, arietes and abramses have thin side armour which makes it easy for this thing along with any other Strf to kill it when flanked. I don't think it deserves to go up in BR becasue of it though, cause in comparison to other IFV's it doesn't get any ATGM so it'll struggle at long range engagements (unless the player is sideways on in something lighly armoured ofc). An example is the 8.7 BMP-2M which gets 1200mm penning tandems at 8.7...
While I can agree that fighting a 7.3 vehicle in this thing in a downtier, is unfair I don't think it's the vehicles fault, but more the BR compression that we see all the time and too move this thing from 8.3 will be anooying since the only tank sweden has between 8.3 and 9.7 is the premium CV90105 TML. I'd say wait until they had more vehicles to too fill that gap between 8.3 and 9.7 in the swedish tank tech tree, then perhaps move it too 8.7 at best. (Sorry for my shitty english)

7.7-9.0 has always been an utter balancing nightmare, and Gaijin just keeps making it worse.

@@IK4MS Actually 7.7 isnt too bad since most nations has decent lineups. I was more thinking the big gap in tech between a 7.7 tank and the much more modern stuff at 8.3 and beyond. Ofc all the premiums at 9.0 makes anything from 8.0 an uptier hell most of the time..
I won't be surprised if this thing gets put up to 9.3-9.7 BR in next patch, but that will technically buff this thing further because side armor is basically non-existent for tanks at top tier no matter if they're NATO or Warsaw. And these darts don't care about angles because I've side shot T64s at a pretty extreme angle.

Tge mobility is a bit bugged. Same stats as the premium cv90 but its much slower.

DEAR JUSTIN, I was waiting on you to make this one mate….I’ve just got done spading this vehicle and let me say it’s FUN AS ALL HELL buuutt is it to much for 8.3???? I say hell no…you have IFVs at the samn br and slightly above doing the samn kinda damage except they have…MISSLES…I think gajin left this at 8.3 for balance testing for future gun only IFV’s…we shall see..but to anyone that dare call this op while the bmp and bmd series IFVS have been clubbing 8.7 and below for months and years now ..no one said a thing…let Sweden have there one good fun pea shooter without having to fight competition that technically outclasses you at your sole purpose…flanking…yeah the gun is good but it’s not destructive to gameplay for others you still got choose when to shot and where to shoot…unlike most ifv…and it’s not as fast as the newer ones as well soo good like trying to out flank Turms and leo 2ks and 2a4’s if they shoot it’s br to top tier because reasons….this thing does what any light tank that has over 100mm of pen do when on enemy side..it shreds them for not covering there flank and they die like they should…also your clip not as big as u think unlike other cannon ifv’s and spaa’s…u cannot just spray with this thing….

I was really expecting this thing at maybe 9.3 and the Finnish or Danish variant with 30mm for the Fin and 35mm for the Dane at around this br. Also a question, can the commander use the gunners thermals when he is using the weapon as that is how it should work.
