Thanks so much for sharing this information, it’s so hard to know the differences between all the different threads available. This will help me so much with my beading. I have been purchasing my fireline from the fishing tackle shops here in Australia, but knowing that the regular beading threads are good for embroidery is most helpful and saving me some money, thanks for this most helpful information. I have been trying other fishing lines and they are not as good as fireline. 🥰🥰🥰
I am studying your videos very close so I can learn, this one has helped so much I think I may even sign up for Instagram to see the work you don’t put on RUclips. You make so many beautiful things I am starting with beading and then I will try others your work is beautiful and your English very good I thank you so much for the English videos as I am I’m GB.
Hi! Thank you so much for this informative video! I'm a recent beginner. Thanks for looking at US pricing, that's interesting! Some synonyms just as a beginner beader (not a pro) would be a "do-over" or a "redo." For example, "these last four beads aren't laying the way I want them to, so I'm just going to redo them." "Do-over" is slightly more slang and has a humorous connotation to it. Like a meme that says "I need a do-over! Lol" The way you said it was fine and I would not have noticed you needed any synonyms, but it was fun to give you a couple, anyway!
Thank you so much for your advice! Since I'm from the Czech Republic in Europe and only learning English as one of my foreign languages, the feedback is great for me :) I'm sure it will come in handy for next time :)
Hello..am happy and thankful for you to give this idea to know which thread is better..am also hand made lover and making differentkinds of accessories.hope to meet you one day
Weirdly, Nymo is slightly more than double the price of S-lon where I live! And KO is 3x the S-lon price (€1.30 vs €3). Two brands on that store that aren't in thjs video are Nozuke Sonoko (almost €8 for one spool of 100m, equivalent to KO) and SoNo (€5.50 for 100m). The shop I'm buying from is closing so everything is half off - I'm getting one or two spools of each kind to try 😅
When I was browsing prices, I also came across that the prices vary a lot in different countries...interesting.... I've heard of Sono too, but I forgot to put it in the review because it's not really available here, only a few stores have it. I'll have to try it out too.
Nice video, I do use Nozue Sonoco bead thread, is very firm. And Miyuki is also very good. But I think that sometimes the eye of the needle can cut the tread . I do used the one you have on this video. Great explanation video
I‘m with you on the 0,12mm FireLine, I find it too thick at 0,15mm which is the 8pound-version, I think. Thank you for the tips on what to use for bead embroidery, that is on my list of things to do, when I ever get time. Not a native speaker, but maybe „undo stitches“?
❤ thanks so much. I have used the slon and then switched to ko. I loved ko. I bought wildfire and found it tough for me to work with. Fighting withvthread sucks, so im going to try fireline. I still love the wildfire, but keep it for bigger beads. Hopefully fireline will be easier to thread. I found if i tamp down the end of the wildfire, it goes on the needle better. Im new to beading, any needle threading tricks? Love your videos...thanks for all the help ❤😊
I also sometimes squeeze the ends of the thread to make it fit the needle :) But with Fireline, for example, it's not necessary because it has a flat cross section. As for threading, I have a trick, but I haven't shown it in a video yet. It works by not threading the thread into the eye of the needle, but instead holding the thread between your fingers and threading the needle onto the thread :) It sounds weird, but it makes threading the thread easier.
Great video. I love One G; hate anymore because I always end up piercing it. As far as Fireline, I prefer Wildfire over Fireline. I also started using Tulip beading needles because they do not pierce threads as much as other needles.
Used Nymo in a class 15+ years ago & hated it. Prefer One G or KO. Have used Fireline but found that the knots don't always stay secure. Because it is such a slippery line, it tends to slip a lot. For this reason I stopped using it.
Absolutely, not every material works for everyone! It’s all about experimenting and finding what feels right for you. One G and KO are great options, and your experiences show how personal preferences really matter in beading.
I love your channel and am learning so much!! Have you ever tried a square shape with cubic right angle weave? If yes, would love to see an instructional video...
Question. I am trying to restring my evil eye beaded bracelet. I need to close it off by making an adjustable knot at the end. I want string that does not fray and is resistant to water and pressure. What do you recommend?
Hello, thank you so much for this video. I wonder if you know what is difference between K.O Miyuki (green label) and Miyuki thread (black label). I have only K.O ones but I heard it is weaker than second type of Miyuki thread (I heard it in local bead shop when one customer said it). That's interesting find🤔
Hi, I've looked into it in more detail and I think they're the same. They're just black stickers in the official catalogue. Maybe they changed the design.... But I'm not sure, maybe someone else will answer.
Fireline Ultra 8 is an 8-carrier braided line that is made of thermally fused Dyneema fibers. It has a higher pick count than Fireline Crystal, which makes it smoother and more abrasion-resistant. I haven't tried it in practice, but I don't think it will have much effect in the production of bead items. It will probably make more sense for fishermen.
Hello, I'm going to do a loom bracelet with 2mm seed beads. And also going to do 3mm loom bracelet. What string do I use for the size of the beads? And what needles do you suggest? I'm located in europe.
Hi, very often Nymo thread or S-lon is used for loom (very easy to find here and cheap). And you need to use a special beading needle. You can't get a regular needle through a bead hole. Something like that: Thread: www.manumi.eu/nymo-beading-thread or www.manumi.eu/s-lon-beading-thread Needle: www.manumi.eu/beading-needle-100-mm
Fire line thread has to be imported in our India which is available for around $65 which is around Rs 3800 in India. These are very expensive and the cost of one piece of jewelry is around $4, which means net profit is around $1.5, according to which the business will be fire by using fire line..😂😂 But here in India a nylon thread is available which is used for special jewelry and kites, it is 3 ply but it is not Korean nylon, it is not possible to break it with hands, if you try, it cuts your hand, it is so strong but very flexible and the price is also 8-9 dollars means close to 550-600 rupees per kg yes this thread is available in kg and is cheap and economical
Hi, I would like to make an eyeglass chain, it is my very first one. I want to use seed beads size 3mm or 4mm. What thread would you recommend me to start with? Thank you for your answer
I probably can't give you much relevant advice because I don't know the suppliers here. However, I do know that some big e-shops ship worldwide, for example, firemountaingems.com ships to Bangladesh. But I suppose delivery and taxes will be quite high. Maybe someone else can advise?

Crazy I started with k O and I love it
Thanks for such a thorough and informational video. It's much appreciated.
Thank you very much! ❤️
Thanks for the info, especially the info on KO. I've been making a lot of bangles and was unaware of the KO factor.
You're welcome :)
Greetings from Ostrava 😁 I want to start doing these accessories, I love it, I'm doing from cernit already also 3D, but I want more
So thorough and well explained. Thank you!!

Excellent comparison! It would have been nice if Silamide was included though.
I confess that I have never tried this thread. Thanks for the tip!

Very informative article, thank you

Potřebuju vyšívat do filcu s kamínky a korálky. Tak který byste doporučila co se týká nitě?
Patomic Beads has a new thread similar to Fireline. I haven't bought it yet. Can you also show what thread you use for bead crochet?
Yes, please! I was going to make the same comment!
Which one do you mean? Dragon thread?

I need to try the slon
It's a good thread :)
Thanks! This was super helpful

Thank you this was very helpful!
Thanks :)
Děláš super videa, velice informativní, děkuju. :)
Moc díky!
@@Danysska
please what threads you could suggest for beading embroidery
I mostly use thin nylon threads like Nymo or S-lon because they lay flat. Then some clear monofilament for the hemming.
Question. I am trying to restring my evil eye beaded bracelet. I need to close it off by making an adjustable knot at the end. I want string that does not fray and is resistant to water and pressure. What do you recommend?
I would recommend cotton cord, leather cord, silk cord, suede cord or hemp cord.

Hi I live in Trinidad and Tobago I cannot get them so I used Fish line 0.2 and and fireline
Hi ...try the store called Featherstone. They a bit pricey but I usually get all my supplies there.
Or have them delivered from another country... 🙂
@@Danysska A can you do that
What about for warp threads on a loom to not waste?
I usually use Nymo.
Thank you

Wow, that's a crazy price! I'd also be interested in the name of the other thread, I'd love to try it if I could get it 🙂
Hi, I would like to make an eyeglass chain, it is my very first one. I want to use seed beads size 3mm or 4mm. What thread would you recommend me to start with? Thank you for your answer
Hi, if you're just stringing, I'd recommend a transparent nylon thread with a diameter of about 0.2 - 0.3mm or Fireline - it's more workable.
Is it suitable for beads crocheting?
Hi, these are not really suitable for bead crochet. For bead crochet it is better to choose some embroidery thread, 30 or 50 weight.
Where is the place are selling threads nd beads in jhb
I'm afraid I don't know, maybe someone local can help.

I can't use the Nymo. It shreds too much for me
If I was using a long thread, that happened to me too. I solved it by cutting shorter pieces of thread.
Can u let me know the size of threads so tht I can check for it in India
Hi, these threads come in many different sizes. That's why I've added detailed size charts to the video, and you can find links to these threads with more information in the video description.
