Sound creepy? Implausible? However, Russia has been doing this for centuries with those it contemptuously calls "small nations."
What Russia intends to do to the Ukrainian people today, it has done to others many times. The genocide of the Tatars is one of the most vile and darkest examples of such an imperialist policy. Forced eviction, artificially imposed famine, language, religious and cultural repression, prohibition of public activities and physical destruction - all this was applied to the Tatar people.
