  • We got out a few weeks ago and KILLED it with the Rapala Ultralight Minnow. Fished for around 2 hours and caught around 9. We had a good time and caught a few decent fish! Thanks for watching!

    You need to also get a hold of the Rapala "Countdown Elite" size 55 (2-1/4"). That jerk bait will produce even more!!!

    Nice action on the browns. They’ll hit any jerkbait brand and most any colors. The KVD Jerkbaits by strike king work just as good if not better in the rainbow trout pattern. Nice brown trout mid-way through.

    What rod is that

    • @FishingCircle
      @FishingCircle  Год назад +1

      That was the Daiwa Samurai 5’6” light action. Solid rod but I upgraded to the Berkeley lightning rod. Incredible rod. Tight lines!

    What is that rid of you don’t mind me asking I’ve been looking for a new one

      I just upgraded to a new rod, but the reel I have used is the Daiwa Samurai x 1500B. My new rod (used in the latest Henrys Lake vid) is a 7' light action Berkeley Lightning Rod. Before
      I was using a 5'6" ultralight Daiwa Samurai, which was nice, but a little short.

      I know right? I have become spoiled I think. Whenever I leave Idaho I just know I will long to be back.

      FishingCircle haha! I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I usually fish at the Rio Chama River. The biggest fish I have caught so far was a 28 inch Walleye! Also, cooking a brown trout right out of the river upon the shore - spoiled! If you have chance, come to Albuquerque to check out our fishing, that’s if you already haven’t!

    I’ve never used a Rápala but I’m gonna soon so I take it it’s basically retrieved like a jerk bait? And also “just a brown”??? Lol I have never caught a brown trout 😂

      That's awesome man! Basically. I have found a lot of success giving it some extra life by twitching and jerking. Good luck! Hopefully you can get into some nice fish!
