Unfortunately Ritchie Valens left this world very young, more precisely at the age of 17 in a tragic plane crash, that day happened 64 years ago and is remembered as "The Day The Music Died".
Many years later, on August 2, 2019, a charming young Romanian girl would sing for the first time the verses of the most famous song of Ritchie's short musical career and would be cheered by all their fans. (Curiously at that time Beatrice was 15 years old, one year younger than when Ritchie Valens sang it for the first time).
Today, "La Bamba" is not only a classic song from the late 50s, but it has been revived by you, Beatrice, who with your intact and faithful pronunciation to the original song in Spanish and your incredible stage presence make this one of your signature covers on the platform. Nice work! ❤

In fact, La Bamba is a traditional Mexican song, from Veracruz State. Ritchie Valens adapted it to the rock music popular in the 1950s in the United States. It's no small achievement, it has its merit, undoubtedly. And thanks to this, La Bamba is now a world-famous song, not only in Mexico.

It was in August 2019 and you were at most 15 and Andrei at most 17 and you sang a version full of energy and enthusiasm. And I heard from someone who saw you back then that you said you only knew 5 songs, and then you played La Bamba 5 times. 😉
