    In this episode, David questions the guest about her lack of effort in building their branding company. She admits to not putting in the necessary work to grow their business, despite having the knowledge and resources to do so. The host highlights the guest's lack of consistency in networking, social media presence, and overall effort in building their brand.
    One of the key points raised in the podcast is the importance of taking daily actions to promote and grow a business. The guest mentions marketing and networking as essential activities for building their brand, but fails to follow through with consistent efforts. The host points out that the guest's last social media post was two months ago, and it had nothing to do with branding. This lack of consistent effort and focus on building their brand is a clear indication of their lack of commitment to their business.

      Agreed she seems talented but void of self-confidence. She needs a partner or a mentor who can help her drive the company. Also her vocal energy is soooo laid back for the field she's in.

    She is a classic example of how having a great job can be both helpful and enabling at the same time. Comfortable can be a distraction, she has to become uncomfortable in order to want to transition and grow. She has to want to do it though

    I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 80k in trading and made about 246k, but guess what? I put it all back and traded again and now I'm rounding up close to a million.

      The pandemic came and taught everyone the importance of having multiple stream of income, unfortunately having a nice paying job doesn't mean you are financial secured anymore. So we all need to put in an extra-income earning chance, like investments.

    I love her way, she seems genuine but needs guidance. Six years it is too much but we are so many like her who promise themselves that they will start one day and all they need is the right logo, the right partner, the right office, the right amount of money or funding and never but never start the business. Designers seems to be the worst. They spend 100 years designing the ultimate logo, the ultimate website and never deliver. If she can be helped to restructure her ideas and do something incredible to empower her community, please, somebody must help her. All the best for her and will be rooting for her.

    I love her! She seems really sweet is and super talented. I agree that she needs to find something that's she's super passionate about. We don't always have to turn everything we love into a full business, but I think she could find a way to do events on a smaller scale. Great job on feedback David.

    We really need to stop acting like it's not okay to hire your own people when we're seeing every Community coming from all over the world and they continuously support their own

    • @CherieButler
      @CherieButler 5 месяцев назад

      It is illegal to do so!!! We are Black . We move in Black circles, most of us live in Black neighborhoods. We are going to hire those we have access to but you can and will be sued and sanctioned for publicly stating that you will only hire people that look like you!!!

    • @Mecctacular
      @Mecctacular 4 месяца назад +2

      I think you're missing what he's saying. You can hire your own people; people do all the time. But legally, you cannot say that you are only hiring one race. The key is to have a business and brand that attracts the people you would want working for you. For example, you're Black and own the business, your applicants should know you're Black. You're more likely to attract applicants that want to work for and support a Black owner. However, you may also attract people of all walks of life. And if they know they were denied a job because they're not Black and they can prove it, they can use for discrimination. So it's a very fine line

    I think that people are starting to play a dangerous game by just looking the part. Looking the part and talking the part will only get you so far. When the time comes to bring work/skill to the table, their hands are folded. That can ruin your reputation quicker than anything.

    Idk if people in the comments are delusional or supportive, or both, but this woman needs neither. She doesn't want a business, she wants to make money doing her hobby. She doesn't need motivation; she needs a simple accounting system to make sure she gets paid and files her taxes properly for the random gigs she picks up throughout the year. Not everybody needs encouragement, especially when they're not even bothering to show up and encourage themselves. I don't think she's lazy; I just don't think she wants a business. She probably got sucked up into the instahype of being a business owner, got bored, and was hoping David would say something that would make her want to start again, without doing any work.

  • @lorendanyaledanyale1450
    @lorendanyaledanyale1450 6 месяцев назад +2

    This was good. I was thinking the whole time… the only time I get this uninspired is when I’ve experienced or am experiencing grief. When nothing else matters because I’ve had a major loss. I wonder if that is something she was experiencing… and she knew that if she opened up too much she would’ve been in that chair crying.
    It’s almost like she was in protective mode.

  • @ImperfectChristianWoman
    @ImperfectChristianWoman 6 месяцев назад +5

    Her focus needs to be working on her own emotional growth instead of building a business right now. She’s repressed for some reason and perhaps a good therapist could help. Who knows, that (building confidence, confronting fears) could end up being her passion and she could help women with that as she herself overcomes her own fears and repression.

    I think she may need to do more education and skill development around marketing. It’s easy to get in our own way as a creative but I’m worried about her not knowing some of these answers as someone who wants to help others target their audiences via branding. Once she builds her skills up she will be more confident in building the business.
