I wish I had found your videos first. I've watched so many others but I've learned more from just a couple of your videos than ALL the others put together. Excellent job. Thank you for all your efforts to simplify this amazing software.
WOW. Fantastic options. Rich, I love your channel and all the tips you share about Lightburn. You are saving me countless hours in the creative process. Heading over to the forums and recommending the members take a look at this. I'm going to use it for my Valentine Cards I'm making for our grandchildren.
I know you can Andrea! Once you get started, you'll love the feeling you'll get from the reactions of your friends and family when you start giving them gifts! It's very heart warming! Like most crafts.
You are the KING of videos! Everyone else just does what they do and never zoom in so we can see what they're clicking on. You show everything. Love it. Just got my Creality Falcon Laser and Lightburn. Already putting awesome designs on the leather phone cases my husband is making. Thank you so much for your videos. I'm going to watch them ALL!! The only thing I'm not sure of is which version of Lightburn you're using.
Thank you so much Debby, I really appreciate it! 👍 I am always using the latest version of Lightburn. Older videos will have older versions, obviously, but most updates just add features, and most older version tutorials still apply. You can catch the version in the top left corner of the video.
I must say man by far I’m just getting into engraving and u are the best with explaining and breaking down how u do things keep it up no one I’ve seen explain like u so thank u 🙏🏼
I am new to LightBurn. Thank you for showing me how easy it is to make these stunning patterns. Definitely going to use this for my earrings and pendants!
Wow. Rich, you are increasing my game. I am so glad I found you. You are the man when it comes to lightburn. I tried to watch other videos and can not get through them. I ask, "How would LHG do it ?" Thanks again for the tricks and tips as always.
Hi Rich, I love your videos including your tips in lightburn! Otherwise It is not makeable for me as a new lightburn user! Thanks you so much! Regards Roland
would be interesting to see you incorporate this into a full wrap fror a tubular. I suppose you could use the apply mask tool to fit the infinity design into a rectangle to then use the newly made infinity rectangle as a wrap??
The dreaded water bucket had me thinking in many directions Bob, and I was actually about to order a 5000 series chiller when I got the idea. When it comes to money, I always look for a better way.
Thank you for such awesome videos! I am new to this laser stuff and am learning my Xtool D1 and I must say that your videos are like pure gold to me!!!
Happy new year Olivia! I think I do actually waste a lot of time bloviating (as my friends call it) 🤪 but I can't seem to help that! Thanks for the comment!
Hello Hobby Guy, I would like to ask you a question. With a shape like this, if I want to extract just part of the circle like with "apply mask to image" and engrave only that part. How can I do this? Thanks in advance.
Same for me! Doesn’t come in different shades! Maybe is something on my settings! I’m noob just 3 days with my laser maybe I’m chowing more than I should
You can't, not this way. 3-D art is made in Lightburn by creating shapes on different layers and locking them as you go. Way too hard to explain in a RUclips comment Rick.
Thank you for the teaching. Very inspiring. So are you saying that you also design the graphics like for your coasters? The "Worry Less love more" graphics you made?
Great video, but I need HELP!. I followed each step, did it 4 times. When I go to the preview I do not get any shape, just one big black blob. I'm new to laser ORTUR Pro 2 and Lightburm 1.0.4, so any help greatly appreciated
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy I played around and changes the layer from black to blue and prviewed and it cam out right. Not sure why, but it works. Thanks again for alll your great videos, learning a lot
Awesome thanks ... I have the same problem, changed the layer colors and line looks like the old spiral graph to fill preview still is a solid black blob. using RUIDA co2 type if that matters. I must be missing a setting or something.
Wow, thats so cool. Now I'm hooked on my infinity designs. Endless possibility. Thank you Rich for getting me more occupied with this stuff. Sure thing my wife will love me to spend more time with the computer than with her 😂 No thank you from my wife. Just kidding. Thank you.
"I hope you enjoyed the video is an understatement!" As my daughter would say, "totally rad Dad."

Happy to help Joe! Thanks for watching!
Looks good 2 me. This program reminds me a lot of corel draw.
It's very similar to a lot of word processors as well.
WOW, those are so neat. I need to try this.
You should!

awesome once again Thanks for sharing
Thanks again Rich!
Great use of the array tool brilliant
Thanks 👍
Is it possible to use 3mm HDF wood for n 10w laser cutter and engraver seen as it is a very dens wood 🙃
I guess you're asking about Masonite or hard board. I have cut Masonite with no problem on a 10W.
Thank you Rich!
My pleasure Jeffery!
Great video Rich!!!
*Appreciate it Jamie, thank you!*
Great idea!!!! I can create the array but I don't get the filled areas...Just vectors
You do in the preview. I have mine set to preview on the screen Fred. Window --> Filled Smooth.
wow that is cool and so easy i love it im still leaning thank you for make stuff like this
Glad you liked it Paul!
Thanks. Gives me some new ideas.
Glad to hear it Merrill!
Brilliant content. Lightburn works as a design package. Can we print designs as well as burning with the laser?
No but you can export the designs to an ai, svg or dxf for any photo software, and then print from there.
So in LightBurn when doin these complex shapes how do you get them to burn in different layers?
Well I don't. But you could by just selecting them as you go and putting them on another layer. This was a software demo for design purposes.
thank you so much 🎉
You're welcome 😊
Short. But sweet.
Thx again
Glad you liked it!
Hi, sorry for the maybe dumb question, but is it possible to fill vertically/ diagonally in lightburn?
Thanks for all the videos!
Double click the layer and change the scan angle.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy I feel even dumber now 😂

Try posting on my free forums. lahobbyguy.com/bb I can't answer a question like this in a text Danny.
I need to most basic video you have for lightburn. My head is about to pop!
🤪 Try Lightburn 101.
You're the man thanks
Thank you Donnie! And you're very welcome! 👍
Hi ... How can we engrave String Art import image from "String Art generator" or "thread art"
How to generate gcode of if
Import the image and trace it.
Thanks a lot, just great - again ;-) 🤟

Wow, amazingly simple but yet gorgeous shapes. I'm going to burn one now. Thank u
These are a lot of fun to make!
this is great, thank you.
Thanks so much!
thanks for the great video!👍
Thanks for watching Yelena! 👍
Could this be how to make a mandala piece and cut and stack different layers?
Absolutely you could Mike. It's how I make mine.
Hi Rich,
That's awesome!
I noticed the burn times,,,,9 + hours,,,,5 + hours.Is that correct?
Burn time depends on your speed and lpi Thomas. This was a design only video so I didn't set the speed and power.
That was very cool!!
Glad you enjoyed it Danny!
Really cool thanks
Glad you liked it Andrew!
fantasic as usual
Thanks so much Chris!
Every time I try this the Preview just comes Out Black🥴 Any thoughts 🤔
Zoom all the way in on the preview.
Same for me! Doesn’t come in different shades! Maybe is something on my settings! I’m noob just 3 days with my laser maybe I’m chowing more than I should
How could you do this and put each item on a different layer to make a 3d art? Thanks so much for sharing.
You can't, not this way. 3-D art is made in Lightburn by creating shapes on different layers and locking them as you go. Way too hard to explain in a RUclips comment Rick.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy ok. Thanks. Maybe you can do a video on it. Thank you. I enjoy learning watching your videos.
Why are all my shapes filled black in lightburn?
Window --> Wireframe Course to change it.
How do you make it where it doesn't shade in? Just do thr lines?
Offset the shape Shaun.
I would like to know how to turn my image into a line so I can make an ornament
Select it, right click on it and choose trace Linda.
Thank you for the teaching. Very inspiring. So are you saying that you also design the graphics like for your coasters? The "Worry Less love more" graphics you made?
That one was just text. You can do a lot with text sayings. Just Google coaster text sayings.

Very awesome 👌🏽
But 7 hours to burn 😬
Don't go by my demonstrations, time is based on speed and power.
loved the video but WOW the time to engrave
Yep, complex shapes take time Jim! And of course, this one wasn't optimized, so there's that...
cool 😎
