I think the black foam is supposed to help the leather get taken out of the dye, try it with the foam rubber in the clicker dye! It should make it easier to take the weather out after it’s cut
Love your keychain... they are just beautifully made! I use Accucut to create my dies and buy their already made and preshaped dies for invites and things. I’ll be checking out TCD tho. People are thinking that you shouldn’t have taken out the foam because they believe that it should push the die cut out but in the dozen plus years of die cutting different materials there are some soft ones like fabric and leather that like to stay wedged in and need a little coaxing. Taking out the foam and putting it back in doesn’t really compromise it at all. Thanks for sharing your video!!
I'm new to looking at leather crafts and trying to decide if it is something I want to take on. Would you mind listing the machines you are using for the dies and for assembly? Also, I looked at the website for the die and it looks like you have to send them exactly what you need. They don't seem to just sell dies like the one you have or did I miss something? For those of us thinking of starting out, it can be a little overwhelming. Your video is very helpful. Thank you.
I'm just curious, why would you have a die made if you can just laser cut those instead? That way you can easily and instantly change the design to your liking.
Hello. I am looking at the weaver 4ton clicker press. Is it powerfull enough to cut through 3 layers of glued leather equaling 17oz (9oz hard and 8oz soft)? I know I can cut sperate then glue, but i prefer not to. Thanks for any feedback.
I think you're supposed to leave the foam in the die so that you don't have to peel out the leather each time.
Thank you I thought it was just for shipping lol
Learned this the hard way myself lol
It's called extraction foam...it extracts the cutting.

Did you send them one of your acrylic patterns to make your die? And what is your impression of the clicker press?

I was just gonna say the same thing I think The foam is supposed to be in there to make it self Ejecting
Learn something new everyday. Im too trained with laser mind.
the foam rubber is to eject the cut pieces from the die
Doesn't matter if the die doesn't match your pattern perfectly. All the ones made from here on out are perfect.
Wow, it’s like you made this video for me. Hoping to get his leather thing moving commercially. Thank You!
the foam is supposed to stay in to pop out the leather cutouts
Where did you get your rivet setter machine sitting on the table next to your press?

Also, why does every American say "Wickett and CRAG"? It's Wicket and CRAIG! Mind you, we're talking about people who can't say "Aluminium"!
Why do Americans always start a video by asking us what's up? What makes them think anything's wrong? I just don't get it.
I m die maker
