  • I recently watched the movie "Thank you for your service," which is about a Veteran that comes back home from the war battling with PTSD. As a Marine Corps Veteran, it tore me up and broke me down. I shot this video a few minutes after the movie finished...
This is one of the hardest videos I have ever shared. It was EXTREMELY challenging for me to shoot this and even more so to then share it publicly. I did it because I thought it might be of value to someone battling with anything from PTSD to depression to anxiety.
You can be in pain and not let that pain be you.
In this video, I am very much in the pain. I felt it might offer a different level of insight than simply reflecting on these experiences while in a more positive and less emotional state. However, in my next video, I will share the research, lessons and key takeaways about the true nature of "trauma' and our mental "ailments" so that we may all learn to find the growth in them.
I hope this helps. If anyone watching this is struggling with any of these issues, PLEASE reach out to me at fearvana.com/contact. I am here to help in ANY way I can.
    YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

It totally made sense to me. You're touching the key points and I'll continue to tuned my preparation for future fears/anxiety reactions (emotions).
I took some personal notes from your video :
    - Feel your anxiety with intensity
    - Find the value in it
    - Do not avoid to meet with it
    - There is a way to be happy in/from the anxiety. Meet your reaction fully with integrity.
    - When the emotion is there, change nothing! Meet the anxiety fully and with respect/curiosity
    - Rise above the "emotion"
    - Imagine yourself eating, taking pills, wanting to get out of the anxiety BEFORE the anxiety comes.
    - Prepare proactively like before a marathon. Prepare, adjust, experiment, visualize.
    - As many baby steps as it needs
    - So life doesn't "hit" me by surprise
    - This intensity is magnificent!
    - So seek out the struggles cause you know there is huge amount of joy/liberation in it that want to be known
    Thanks for all.

I'm so happy to hear this was helpful for you Jean-Francois. Thanks for summarizing some of the key points here as well, this is awesome :) It is my pleasure to provide this kind of content, especially when I know it's making a difference. I hope things are going well in your world and stay tuned for more like this - launching a series next week on why we get mental health wrong and what to do instead. Sending you lots of love from here in India.
