Having never played those first two 2D PoP games, and only having more recent Metroidvanias to go on, this looks pretty fun. Not sure I’d buy it for $60, but I’d give it a chance on sale.

What so difficult about giving POP a sequel from the trilogy or remastering the trilogy.

A Prince of Persia kidnapped, and a certain protagonist must come for the rescue? Sounds a bit like The Legend of Zelda-ish. If this game wasn’t titled Prince of Persia, it would be much better to anticipate for. However, The Lost Crown looks pretty cool and fun to play.
Original PoP was just some dude saving a princess, then becoming a prince post credits.
