How to Sew Basket Lining / DIY Basket Lining Sewing Tutorial

Hello there,
In this video I tried to show how to sew a lining into a cotton basket. You can make your plastic baskets more stylish by sewing such a lining. It's also more organic.
We put the bottom of our basket on our fabric and draw around it. We cut it with a 1cm seam allowance. Then we take the upper size of the basket and cut it by giving 1 cm of seam allowance. The upper width and the lower width of the basket are not the same, but we find the difference by measuring and we remove the excess from the side seam. After the side stitching, we fold the upper part of our cover first 1cm and then 2cm and sew. We leave a space of 1.5cm between the starting point and the end point. Rubber will be passed through this gap.
The last step; We combine the upper part we prepared and the lower part. There may be slight slacks here, don't worry, you can make them fit together by making small pleats. Finally, we complete the process by overlock or zig-zag.
Sew the lace to the end to decorate the basket cover. If you want, you can also use different decoration materials. Act according to your imagination.
