Hi Mark. Question....I have been searching through all of Rio's videos regarding metal clay rings, and I canNOT find a single video that addresses making a ring with bronze clay or copper/white copper clay. My questions that I was hoping to find an answer for are: with the shrinkage issues copper and bronze, does this have any effect in how to size a metal clay ring. Should I size up more sizes since it shrinks so much more than silver clay? Also, if I have to use a few sizes up to form the ring, then use a few sizes down investment pellet to fire the ring, do I fire immersed in acid washed or coconut shell? And if so, it will get in between the ring and the pellet, right and when the clay shrinks to form around the pellet won't the carbon that ends up between the ring and the pellet interfere with the process? Or can you fire it on a solderite board, NOT in carbon?
I'm new to this medium and trying to figure out how much BRONZclay I need for a project. I'll be making it out of clay 3mm thick before firing. Can someone please tell me how many square inches of this thickness I'll get from 100g of BRONZclay? Someone somewhere must have this info -- but I can't find it. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
what if I don't have firing kiln, I just can't work with bronze clay at all?
Wow guys this is so low resolution as to be unwatchable.
