How to Use Messenger Kids

- Messenger Kids is an app from Facebook design for saver messaging and video chat.
You can download the Messenger Kids app for iPhone, iPad, and Androids.
Login to your Facebook profile as a parent, so you can set up your kid's account.
You don't have to create a Facebook account for your kids as this is only for the Messenger Kids app.
You can add other kids to this account from the following list.
You can also send invites to your child's friends' parents, in order to connect the two kids.
You can also add adults your child can chat with such as family members.
Inside of the Messenger kids app, your kids can start a conversation with approved adults or kids. In each conversation, they can send text, pictures, stickers, drawings and they can even start a video chat.
Messenger Kids also has games your child can play on their own or two-player games they can play with others inside the app.

My Dad cannot figure out how to find his QR code in order to add my son as a friend. What does he click on? Because I told him just click on your profile picture/account pic at the very top of the page and it will then take you to the next page which will give you an option to either add a friends code or find your own QR code…. Isn’t that a correct description? He just can’t figure it out, so I thought maybe the options are different formats on different types of phones.. what do you think? Thanks 🙏

I have a question that I hope you may be able to answer since I don't seem to find an answer online. For some reason my children's friends do not appear as an icon as you explain on 3:40. Any ideas? This works on the ipad but not on the iphone. Thanks for your help.
@Delbeuthe It updated on phone to where it shows up like regular messaging platforms. On iPad it’s still the same.

Messenger Kids was set up on my granddaughter’s tablet so we can speak. Saves her getting her parents phones to talk in Facebook messenger. I can’t connect to her on my iPhone. I’ve even tried setting up an account on messenger kids on my iPhone but when I go to put in the birthday part it won’t work. What could be the problem?

I am pretty sure you can't do that once it's sent it is sent but by accessing your child/s history you can get rid of the message but the other person may still be able to see it hope that helps!

Does the other person have to have the Messenger Kids app installed on their device as well or can they chat with the child using just the regular Messenger app on their end?
My mum has messenger and she calls me and texts me and I'm on messenger kids, so to answer your question it doesn't have to!
Is there a way you can screen record and hear both voices? Bc i have to have it to talk to my cousin’s and they want to help make a video with me and be in it but anytime i try it, it wont work and i cant hear my voice not theirs, ALSO YES I HAVE MY MICROPHONE ON.

Normally when you open a video or photo a person has sent you, you press on the video/photo so the video/photo is full screen aka you can only see the video/photo them look in the corner of your screen for a download symbol/button hope that helps

Are you putting in the wrong password or username also maybe something is wrong with your facebook account

How do you delete messages from messenger kids. My son has some messages on his ipad that he wants to delete from the thread but we cant find a delete button anywhere on the thread.
You can't, only the parents can, just in case a kid sends a inappropriate message, kids messenger makes it that you can't delete messages just in case it's inappropriate so the parents can find out
So question. Mother has primary account. WQe not Facebook friends but she wants me to connect with my son but does that mean I have to be friends with her on FB? I do not want to add the mother as a "friend" on FB.

No if you want to add your mum through kids messenger you can do it without having your mother to be as your "friend" on facebook
I have tried multiple times to try and get my camera on and I have to go to settings but I have everything from that app on and I am confused what I have to do..
Maybe uninstall then reinstall messenger kids make sure camera permission is on and if that doesn't work restart your phone (hold down power button) or your camera may be broken to test this go into camera app see if it works! Hope this helps

So this might be a problem because you may not have internet net or the person you are trying to message may of blocked you or your parent/guardian may have blocked them.
