    Hey! Thanks for the detailed review. I have a question: do you use the back protector that was provided? I got the suit and while I love it, I quote hate the back protector..mostly because I'm not able to put it on by myself (whenever I put the suit on the back protector goes up and doesn't want to stay in place). Is there another back protector that you would recommend when using the D-Air? Thanks again!

    How well does the airbag system work with Dainese custom works? Especially if I have to really slim it down?

      We stopped selling Dainese, too many service related issues. If you want an air bag suit we recommend going with the Alpinestars Tech Air. Here is a link to that on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/alpinestars/tech-air-compatible/

    • @RiderZer0

      Sportbike Track Gear problem is, alpinestars doesn’t do custom...
      I’m curious as to what kind of service related issues you were experiencing

    Brian Van, just quick question and hope you could help me. I am currently fit in the Alpinestars gp plus camo size 48eu. Do you think I would fit in the same size with the Dair?

      We have not sold Dainese for the past couple of seasons with no plans to do so again. I do not know how their current suit line up fits. I would recommend the Alpinestars Tech Air Race Vest with a compatible Astars suit. This is what we are all running here at STG. - Van

    What would I have to do in order to order a custom color Laguna Seca suit? Thanks in advance

    • @sportbiketrackgear

      That would take some measuring by a Dainese team member. If you give us a call we can provide you with some more accurate information. 888.784.4327

  • @Raisincow

    Does Dainese offer custom suit options for consumers as well? I know Alpinestars do not unfortunately. Spidi has a really cool custom suit program but I'm not a big fan of the Spidi track wind suit aesthetically.

      +Jarno de Theije Dainese does offer a custom suit option for both their regular suits AND the D-Air. Great question!

      +Sportbike Track Gear I beleive that, I wasn't even at fault and I'm probably going to lose money on the deal. Oh well thats the way the cookie crumbles. If I ever manage to have 3k sitting around for a suit with an airbag I know who to call though.

    Does this suit has a camel back for hydration as an option as well?
    And also also does the suit compatible with other boots which work from outside!!

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  8 лет назад

      +Guru Power Solutions The camel back is not an option for the Dair unfortunately... The electronic components are contained within the race hump leaving no room for this.It will work fine with any brand of boots that you choose, Van usually wears Alpinestars Supertech R boots with his. Thanks for watching our video!

    What size does Bryan usually wear in Dainese one piece suits? I go off of his sizing since we are similar structures.

      +Philip Tow I am in a size 56 Euro in this suit with an excellent fit. - Van

    I assume that this piece is water resistant for rain racing but what do you do when it is time to wash this suit? With my analog suit I generally submerge it in cool/clean water for a while, drain the water, repeat, and then hang it in front of a high powered fan until dry and treat the leather. Can I assume that this is not an option? Cheers.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  7 лет назад +1

      I would not look to completely submerge this suit. If the suit is going to be cleaned it should be done by Dainese. The air bag unit should be removed if the suit is going to be submerged. - Van

    • @JonJon95GT
      @JonJon95GT 7 лет назад

      One more question, since it has a GPS unit does it only activate when you are on a race track, or is that just to make the call on speed and weather it needs to deploy? Not that I would ever pretend that a farm to market road is the IOM TT or anything..

  • @justlurking3115
    @justlurking3115 6 лет назад

    Van is it possible to completely remove the airbags from this suit. I much rather use the racer vest than the built in ones. Pleas let me know thanks.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  6 лет назад +1

      I would not do that because the suit is designed to allow for inflation of the air bag it comes with. - Brian Van

    How does that compare to the A* Tech Air suit?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  9 лет назад +2

      +Khai This is better IMO. - Van

    • @evolv.e
      @evolv.e 4 года назад

      Khai, I studied both D air & Tech air, and chose to go with D air. Dainese has more experience and shared patents to further the safety in the industry. Kudos to Dainese for its pursuit of safety though innovation and dedication. Here’s real world demonstrations and rider endorsements for the D air. ruclips.net/video/NPU41FA4Z4A/видео.html
      Whether you go Tech air or D air, both are leading in airbag tech and safety, Dainese having more riders wearing theirs and with more data through GPS, something that the A* lacks.
