Three of these kids were already GM. Other three were IM. One of them was confirmed as GM while this training was taking place. Remaining two kids became GM later. So, all these kids are already GM. Four of them are super GM (elo rating over 2600). As a team, they have won an Olympiad Bronze. In individual capacity Gukesh won individual gold and Prag won individual bronze in Chess Olmpiad 2022. Prag has qualified for Candidates 2024. So, these six pupils have already shown great progress.

It is impolite to converse in a language not known to others.., they are international players and regular use of English will help them improve their communication...to get the point across...ask them to imagine big Vlad speaking in Russian which our boys do not understand..would we find it useful or good? .,.Sangharsh Regards Sangharsh

@MrMozoak yes.. I agree that they are kids hence the suggestion... In the future they will be attending many many such training camps with foreign trainers and using tamil to converse amongst themselves would come off as impolite.. I say this basis my experience with North Inidan colleagues who find it frustrating when others in group speak in Telugu.. Which they don't know.... And I also mentioned that.. They should speak to each other also in English this will help improve their language.. Their tamil is fluent... They need to practice their English.... This I am saying basis my experience as a German language expert... When kids are small they can be taught manners or language...i love I dian languages... Point is understanding how foreign coaches might interpret behaviour.. Thanks

@@kevinwellwrought2024 If I place an endgame in front of you and ask you is this a win or a draw. You then need to make a claim and prove it. This can be substituted by using the engine but one retains the concept better by attempting to solve it oneself. This also allows one to form the sort of general rules which aid human chess. For example they do all this analysis and come to the important conclusion it's a draw because the king is on the wrong side and needs to paradoxically be closer to the opposite side of the pawn so that one can respond to attempts to perpetual check by a check against the opponents King. Turning on the engine one may just say oh check check check perpetual moving on. It doesn't help you grow that way.
