We had our trucks, gear and rifles fully ready for any possible combat situations right up until we were shipped back to Kuwait. The Taliban are selling a lot of the stuff that was left there, bringing in major "funding," and many of those who are buying this equipment are militant groups or proxies to provide for terror cells that are a threat to America. So the monetary cost isn't the important part, it's the potential cost of terrorist empowerment that we don't have any oversight on.

@@thefalseshepherd3689 yes and no. All of my unit's equipment, weapons and trucks were in great shape as we had a lot of downtime and not that many FOB details to do. We had our trucks, gear and rifles fully ready for any possible combat situations right up until we were shipped back to Kuwait. The Taliban are selling a lot of the stuff that was left there, bringing in major "funding," and many of those who are buying this equipment are militant groups or proxies to provide for terror cells that are a threat to America.
So the monetary cost isn't the important part, it's the potential cost of terrorist empowerment that we don't have any oversight on.

Not quite. They can buy stock like anyone else. There are quite a few documentaries on this subject. They simply make policy and tug the strings of geopolitical decision. Those decisions can cause those very same stocks to skyrocket or plummet. They know where to put their money because it's their decisions that stear it, they can't lose.
