The peak 401 lb. ft. Torque is at 3600 RPM. Super flat torque curve with instant power anywhere in the RPM. Great even power band, which is what I want in a truck, not turbo 6cyl. with all the power at the top of the RPM range... and the trans is butter smooth on up & downshifts... double overdrive also. Soaks up road imperfections and really comfortable balanced ride on bumpy, potholed, cracked road surfaces. Love it! Simple truck that works and stays out of the service drive... thank you Toyota! A manufacturer that cares about giving their customers a quality, long lasting product that they can rely on for the long haul? Designed and assembled in America, with most of the parts & components sourced in the U.S. ? Way to go ‘Yota!!! 🤙🏼🙏🏼
This is the best full size truck on the roads and the best for your money Worries free quality and value and reliable and resale you will never lose with Toyota
Great review and tons of helpful information. I am a 2 month owner of a new 2018 Limited Cement Tundra TRD Off Road myself. Some areas you hit on helped me customize my ride more. Thanks! So far, I have added a full replacement stereo system, amp research power steps, window tinting, rigid industries driving cubes and 32" light bar, blacked out all badging, 3" lift, Ridge Grappler Tires, hood scoop blacked out, TRD Dual Exhaust, Spray In bed liner, black powder coated stock off-road 18" wheels and rear stabilizer bar. Love this truck! My 3rd truck and plan to have this a loooong time. Thanks again for a great review which even helps us Tundra owners as well as folks looking to get one.
After almost 50 hrs of watching video on Tundras and 4 Runners, this video is the only one that took it this far. My hats off to you and you used a voice over rather than making us watch you walk around. Thank you.
That cement color shows all road film. The very best colors that looks clean yet it's actually dirty is colors : Desert Sand Mica & Arizona Beige. Excellent colors by far !!
How you-all doin, just to point out its 0w20 on the oil cap, I wouldn't recommend putting fuel in there lol, also your sound is strange? They just had one of these trucks back to Toyota with over 1 million miles on it, original engine, the only work done on it aside from routine maintenance was a new water pump and reverse gear went awry, truck was still driving very well, if I wanted a truck I might just buy a Toyota!
I purchased mine (2018 Tundra CrewMax 4x4 Limited w/Premium Package and Sunroof past October 18/2017. I shopped and compared every full size 1/2 ton truck sold in the USA and hands down it was the best suited for my purpose and budget for the luxury I was looking for in a truck. I’m very satisfied with my choice to purchase this truck.
I have a 2014 tundra, love it! This truck is all the truck anyone will ever need. A coworker of mine has a 2018 Silverado with not a whole lot of miles on it and his a/c unit is already leaking fluid! Make that make sense!?!?
You've definitely earned my sub with this in-depth review. I sold my Ford F-350 Dually and I have been in the market and doing my research on a new truck. I am over all the hoopla about the big 3 (Ford, GM, Dodge) and was looking at a long term investment as far as resale and reliability. While no truck is bulletproof, this meets my mark. Look forward to being a Tundra owner by this weekend!
F-150 KING OF TRUCKS It doesn’t matter since more people are starting to buy Tundras and let’s not forget that it will most likely outlast any other truck on the market.
I visited a dealer today and had a taste of the truck, instantly loved it, it's a RED one!!!!! it doesn't have all the fancy features but it's solid, I feel I was driving a tank.... very stable and powerful
Had a 03.put 400,00 klum's on it trouble free.new owner still driving and going strong. Now have a 16 Trd love it,would never own the other north American subpar crap again. Also mine gives 19-20 us mpg.
Does anyone know if toyota has addressed the dreaded ''cam tower oil leak'' that is showing up on the 5.7 motors (several years}? I have a 2014 tundra and have considered a 2018 but very concerned about this issue. This is a very costly fix outside the warranty. Maybe someone from Toyota can chime in.
I love this truck And one day soon I will get one. But with a 38 gallon tank and gas being roughly $2.50 for regular and not mid grade gas per gallon that equates to about $100 to fill the tank. Ouch!!! This would definitely have to be a truck used for business to make money
devohnmitchell gas in cali is like 3.00. I fill up at Costco which is 2.96 from a 1/4 tank and pay like 60 to 70. Cali has a .43 tax on gas which is ridiculous
It's too bad Toyota does not offer these two colors I listed in their other Tundra models. And the ventilated seat option should be available in the LTD version. Toyota has some quirky model option selection offerings. Like what's with that?
Mike Hodgens All but the parking sensors, which work but obviously they’ll be going off the whole time the trailer is attached when in reverse. The manual says the Blind Spot Monitoring may not be accurate with a trailer but it seems to work fine while pulling my 25’ travel trailer. I really love my second Tundra.
Troy Hodulik debt.....that's how. Vehicle payments every month for years on end. Neighborhood I live in I see families with 4-5 kids, wife has a new Suburban and the husband has a ton 1/2. They're whether swimming in debt alongside their mortgage or they make a ton of money. My guess is debt. Easily $100,000 in vehicles. While I sip my coffee on my way to work in my high mileage Cruze....lol
For many it’s a struggle, but it depends on budget (the size of car loan they’ll give you and the payment you can stomach). The reason that everything keeps getting more expensive is our fellow Americans willingness to finance everything! That’s why they always ask what you want your payment to be. My parents and grandparents always paid cash. Almost nobody does that anymore and we are all paying for it.
Not yet. I would love to review a Hybrid Yukon or Tahoe. I think it would be really cool to do a road trip review with one of those like a family vacation to see how it does loaded down with "stuff". If I get a chance to review one of those, I'll let you know! :)
FYI... a synthetic oil may be able to do 10,000 miles but your oil filter is NOT so if you want to keep your vehicle I suggest that you do not go over 5000 miles... or at least change the oil filter every 5000 miles
Better question: Do I need you to tell me what truck to buy? Answer: No, not after owning Toyota/Lexus cars & trucks for 38 years, while watching Ford, GM & others shaft hapless customers... :)
My 2014 Ram has pretty much everything this truck has except for that rolling rear window. What I do think is that the rear seats are more comfortable than its competitors and more roomier and more inclined like a sedan... Frankly would not trade my Ram for anything, except for the 2019 one with the 12" screen and E-Torq.
I did a quick calculation, when I bought my 16 Silverado, I paid $2995 for extended warranty. Gets 20-21mpg hwy. I since then traded it in, I am now in a Tundra getting 17-18mpg hwy. But I didn't pay $2995 for an extended warranty, don't need to, engine, transmission is bullet proof, and no bs failures on gimmick add-ons. With the difference in gas consumption I calculated that I can drive till 150k or more before I pay $3000 in gas price. Lol only fools think they are getting a better deal buying a Ford/Chevy cause they can get 20-21 mpg hwy.
Nah that 13 mpg is atrocious in this day in age. 10/10 truck aside from that and that is what may draw the others to the competition that’s getting 18 mpg or more in the city. Imagine they just give an option for an 8 speed and switch up the gear ratios and say it got 15 or 16 in the city it would be top selling truck, in my opinion
Very good review. The cement color is impressive in person as is the quicksand color. My only "beef" with Toyota is their lack of cash incentive(s) in comparison to the other truck makers. As of right now the BEST incentive is on the 2018 Ram. They dwarf all others due to their new 2019 model that's already out.
I was considering this truck until I see some features not available...such as smart key....remote start...LED brake light....LED turn signal..... guide. I'm surprised a $50,000 truck did not come with a spray in bed liner...Tundra needs a make-over...Very disappointed.
2017 tundra limited owner myself. Reliable and built like a tank. BADLY in need of a re-design. Interior looks very dated and is full of cheap plastic. Domestic brands are far ahead on ride quality, interior design, and technology. Toyota needs to step up in this aspect and they can dominate the market. Just don't believe Toyota has a big interest in the truck segment. They would rather sell you a sedan or cross over.
I call it grey. That plain out grey. I wish Tundra gave differential ratio choice. Only 4:30. And real locking rear end. Tundra must have 38 gallon gasoline tank. That should go about 420 miles. Great! I don't hear nary chain saw. Course I'm deaf in one ear and can't hear out of the other one. Tundra also needs an 8 speed transmission. Hard to understand why Toyota is so slow to upgrade the Tundra.
Sir. I bought a Toyota Tundra because of this video. SR5 with TRD 4x4 package. Thank you for all your wonderful info.
That is awesome! Thank you for letting me know and I hope you enjoy your new Tundra, my friend!
i picked up a used one yesturday. 2018 54000 miles. seems like a really solid truck
Probably the best review of the tundra on RUclips!! Great in depth video!
This is the best full size truck on the roads and the best for your money Worries free quality and value and reliable and resale you will never lose with Toyota
That's exactly right! They just seem to last forever!

#beastmode. Sound amazing!

YES!.. buy it!!… 2019, 1794 owner here.. if mpg doesn’t bother you, it’s a solid, well built truck. 👍
I have this exact truck myself. I’ve color matched most of the chrome bits-much better look. Awesome truck!👍
I own this year of truck, Limited with all extras. Love this truck! Always runs perfect. No for sale at any deal.
How you-all doin, just to point out its 0w20 on the oil cap, I wouldn't recommend putting fuel in there lol, also your sound is strange? I have exact truck for 6 months. I love it
Is it your daily driver?
I purchased mine (2018 Tundra CrewMax 4x4 Limited w/Premium Package and Sunroof past October 18/2017.
I shopped and compared every full size 1/2 ton truck sold in the USA and hands down it was the best suited for my purpose and budget for the luxury I was looking for in a truck.

Just purchased mine a week ago awesome truck for the price 👌
I just got one. All I can say is oh my god this thing is beastly
Great review, the wife picks up her limited in 2 weeks. This will help her out a lot.
The upload made my birthday even better thanks Brock!
AWESOME! and HAAAAPY BIRRRTHDAY!
HowToCarGuy thank you!!
love this truck!!! been watching all ur videos sir and im glad you gave us this treat today.
First thing I noticed...no remote start and the unlock doesn't lock or unlock the tailgate? Locks with key only? Atari
J Fike That’s for family. Remote start too
I just bought one and I learned a few things from this video.
Thanks, just bought one from this video..went with 2019 over new 2022 v6
I have a 2014 tundra, love it! This truck is all the truck anyone will ever need. A coworker of mine has a 2018 Silverado with not a whole lot of miles on it and his a/c unit is already leaking fluid! Make that make sense!?!?

Rear window rolling down is amazing … Love this truck
That window rolled down cruising down the highway - yes...
where have you been...lol..Toyota has been doing this since the eighties
I'd rather not use a key to lock and unlock my tailgate
When is the new refresh 2019 or 2020? I’m thinking on buying a 2018 1794 or should I just wait!
Another great review! Toyota has evolved this beauty into a direct competitor with Ford, GM and Ram.
Toyota Beauty Evolution - I really like the sounds of that!
competitor...lmao...Toyota tundra sells 10 ,000 units a month or less...thats not impressive to be a competitor
F-150 KING OF TRUCKS It doesn’t matter since more people are starting to buy Tundras and let’s not forget that it will most likely outlast any other truck on the market.
F-150 KING OF TRUCKS try more like just over 50k trucks a year
Love this truck will buying a Tundra soon, like that color
Great detailed review! Very informative, Thank you!
I visited a dealer today and had a taste of the truck, instantly loved it, it's a RED one!!!!! it doesn't have all the fancy features but it's solid, I feel I was driving a tank.... very stable and powerful
Didn't even watch this thumbs up for Toyota Tundra love the Toyota Tundra
I’m looking at a couple of 2018 1794 edition Tundra and this so helpful. Thank you
Hey Crazy,Thanks I didn't,t know about the tow hooks................BB
Had a 03.put 400,00 klum's on it trouble free.new owner still driving and going strong. Now have a 16 Trd love it,would never own the other north American subpar crap again. Also mine gives 19-20 us mpg.

dc53 No. New ones are still having the issue.
I have a 2014 tundra cm 4x4 has a 7” BDS lift with 37s I get 14 mpg guess I’m doing good if stock is 17 lol
Not bad man
Where's the jack located? ?
If you wanted to upgrade your tires on your 20”. What tires would you get?
Very well laid out, everything explained perfectly. Thanks 🙏
I'm just curious: is the cement gray solid or is it metallic/pearl?
Elliott Jackson Solid, Flat paint 🎨👌🏼

Straight up. Almost the only way to justify it
The cement grey colour is real nice!
Great review, Sir.
Thank you so much!!
Beautiful Truck
That color is really good too!
Are you aware of the channel, 4You Automanija? It seems like they copied your LX570 review. I don't know.
Thank you so much for letting me know this and you were exactly right! They copied my vid. I reported them. I am so grateful for your help!

Awesome truck love tundra. How much was it.
Got a 2013. Waiting for the 2021 redesign to replace it!
Do all the safety features work with a trailer connected?
Mike Hodgens All but the parking sensors, which work but obviously they’ll be going off the whole time the trailer is attached when in reverse. The manual says the Blind Spot Monitoring may not be accurate with a trailer but it seems to work fine while pulling my 25’ travel trailer. I really love my second Tundra.
It is mighty
I really like your video very detailed thanks I’m hoping to get one soon
I have the '17 limited in Magnetic Grey. I wish to god they had that color last year.
Hyped for the 2019 Lexus ES?
HECK YES! I can't believe how good it looks. I think the 2019 ES is going to be the best one ever.
Hey Brock, how does it feel getting back into the Prius after rolling in that Tundra?
Like going from an M1 Abrams Tank to a Smart Car. BUT I get like 50 MPG!
HowToCarGuy The prius is an amazing cars, just ignore the haters and you will love it.
I like how its a clutch fan not electric or was that an option
I love the truck! And you were right, the colour is amazing! 😉
You should see that color in person! I don't know why, but I'm in love with that Cement color.
Flat Grey ALL DAY! Black out all the Chrome and it would be the perfect combo! 🤙🏼
Let's talk the monthly payment. How does anyone afford a new truck today?
You put $20,000 down or you have a nice trade-in that's paid off.
You fight for a good deal on a Tacoma lol
Troy Hodulik debt.....that's how. Vehicle payments every month for years on end. Neighborhood I live in I see families with 4-5 kids, wife has a new Suburban and the husband has a ton 1/2. Troy Hodulik
I have the same truck, it’s $580 a month with 10k down. Less than 5% of my monthly income.
You ever done a review on a Toyota Previa?
No but I would LOVE to! I have always loved that Previa design. I'll def do that review if I can find one!
HowToCarGuy I’d really like to see that! What a unique vehicle
DIAMLER It needs to be brought back. That minivan is really really cool
I clicked because you're thumbnail said big truck and I laughed out loud at that... that silver trim is called chrome been around for a long long time
I love this truck 💯💯💯😬
I KNOW! Crazy reliable, Super capable, and has TONS of room - just to name a few.
hard to find a used toyota pickup but we did 😊
LUCKY!!!
What the sticker price on that tundra limited?
Have you ever evaluated the Hybrid Tahoe or Yukon?
Not yet. I would love to review a Hybrid Yukon or Tahoe. I think it would be really cool to do a road trip review with one of those like a family vacation to see how it does loaded down with "stuff". If I get a chance to review one of those, I'll let you know! :)
My thoughts exactly. I've read where it's possible to get 23 mpg. These vehicles are few and far between. Thanks
u should do a platinum review.
For as many years as this truck's been out, its aged well.
It's me Lynx, My dad and brother have Tundra color's white is limited version. Model Years's 2010.
HI LYNX! Those are some great trucks! I guess you're good if you ever need to borrow a truck to move something!

Very informative. Thanks.
Remote start?
You can get it for $350 more at dealer
So Napoleon Dynamite has a RUclips channel now fascinating
Nice truck! Nissan Terra next sir.
Love Toyota trucks. How about a Trackhawk and Durango review! Preferably a white Trackhawk.
Stay tuned ;)

Its nice but it needs a more fuel efficient engine
This infotainment center is from 2012
I did a quick calculation, when I bought my 16 Silverado, I paid $2995 for extended warranty. Gets 20-21mpg hwy. I since then traded it in, I am now in a Tundra getting 17-18mpg hwy. But I didn't pay $2995 for an extended warranty, don't need to, engine, transmission is bullet proof, and no bs failures on gimmick add-ons. no lock for the center console and gas lock are an "F" grade.

Trevor Wallace? Is that you?
I own a 2015 Double cab w. many mods... I am glad they finally put a digital speed on the display... Hello..lol
Truck bed is too short even for a trip to Home Depot

Average 15mpg claimed? Wow.......
13/17 MPG total buzzkill
toyota no way
