Sounds like it’s time for a shelf purge. Maybe turn it into a video and do a challenge. Read it or get rid of it.. might help to clear up some space and get rid of those books that you’re just not feeling anymore. Happy new year and wonderful readings to you!
Funny you should mention that...I've actually been toying around with doing a "read it or unhaul it" series! Think I should?! Happy New Year to you as well! 🥰
What about a video with just reading your special editions to help prioritize them? Even though you didn’t end up with a ton of wild spins you got some really great book selections!
'You want to do what?' 'Edit your video' 'That's a terrible idea' 🤣 Love your attempt at reverse psychology and the wheel was like "nope still no wild spins" So many good choices after all the chaos! I'm reading If I Have To Be Haunted at the moment and enjoying it. I'm not far enough to really know how I feel about it as a whole but liking the vibes so far 🤞 It took me a second to remember you are in winter when Bad Summer People was picked and you said it wasn't the right season; works fine for me 🤣🌞
🤣🤣🤣 I still stand by my initial claim that it's a terrible idea, but if we get 500 likes, I'll give him a shot! 😬 The wheel chose chaos & anarchy this month for sure, no matter what I tried! Ooo that's good to hear about If I Have To Be Haunted - I literally have heard no one else talk about it, so I wasn't sure what to think! Yes, we are in winter - although we're in a bit of a warm streak at the moment! It's been 45F the last few days!
@sheisbookedandbusy it would bring a whole new meaning to Family Chaos 😆 I may have just had to google to convert the temp to figure out what 45F is in Celsius (7 btw); my Aus brain couldn't figure out the conversion this late at night (11pm Thurs for me 😊). I love that's a bit of a warm spell where you are lol in my town that's a really cold night and it's very rarely that cold during the day; but it also doesn't snow where I am on the coast. Hope you have a great reading month xx
Great video as always ! I feel like it would be more of a family pick if after they randomly picked the shelf number, they could choose the book instead of another number ! Just an idea :)
I absolutely agree! I think I may do that in the future - they're just typical boys where they will purposely choose a book they DON'T think I'll like just to drive me crazy 🤪
Sending you all the good vibes for another amazing reading month to kick off the new year 🥳📚 I’m so excited for us to pick up Strange the Dreamer this month and you have so many other great books on the list 😍 Theo Silva is currently my faaave Chestnut Man 🤭🤠🤍
Wow, the spinner wheel really was working against you, and the chaos was chaos-ing 😂 I wasn’t expecting to love B&B as much as I did, it was so fun!! Spells for Forgetting is definitely cozy magical realism vibes, I enjoyed it. I’m wanting to read The Naturals, Heartless Hunter and An Ember in the Ashes this year so I’m excited to hear you thoughts! And yay for Onyx Storm 🎉🎉 Quite the extensive TBR here haha 📚
If you came here for my standard dose of chaos, I said "here, take DOUBLE!" this month! 🤣🤣 I've heard that about B&B but I've seen a lot of people not love L&L afterwards...did you read that one yet?! Ooo I can get down with cozy magical realism as long as I'm EXPECTING cozy magical realism so thanks for warning me! 🥰 An Ember in the Ashes is our Homey & Homely book this month! As for Onyx Storm, I could not be more excited but more terrified at the same time 😬
Wow! That's a great rating! I was initially not that excited but once I read the back of the book & saw how many people really enjoyed it, I'm glad I didn't use a veto! 💕
That is one heck of a start to the year! Some really good picks. I loved Butcher & Blackbird and The One was in my top 10 for this year. Hopefully some of the ones you are hesitant on end up surprising you. I read Beautiful Disaster YEARS ago, but I remember loving it. I hope you have a great reading month. 😊
Even though the wheels chose chaos, I think the stack of books ended up really good! Wow! Three books that you loved - that makes me much more excited! I hope your reading month is amazing as well! 😁
This was so Chaotic! I love it! I hope you love everything! The Naturals series is sooo good! I’m excited to read Iron Flame and get to Onyx Storm! I loved the Lunar Chronicles however I didn’t like Cinder’s book or her character. Scarlett is my fav in that series! But I hope you end up loving all the books and have the best start to 2025b 🎉
Chaos is my brand at this point 🤣🤣 The wheel was out for me this month! Ooo interesting to hear that about the Lunar Chronicles & now I'll know to push forward with the series if I don't connect with Cinder!
Wow! That is one long TBR - almost one book a day! Luckily there are a few short/bingable books in there. I have a video idea (it’s just a suggestion, and if you’ve done it, I’m sorry I missed it). Could you do a video analysing the different book boxes and their special editions? I have been getting Owlcrate’s young adult box for the last 5-6 years and are thinking of changing/cancelling. I’d like to know what is out there with pros and cons. Totally cool if that’s not something you’d want to do. Good luck on the TBR for the month!
It is a very long TBR - the wheels chose chaos this month! 🤣 But yes, I agree - I was able to work in some shorter books to take it a bit easy on myself. Wow! What a great idea! Yes, I most definitely can do that video! I recently, in the last month, actually cancelled most of my subscription boxes because I no longer found them "worth it," so I have a LOT of opinions on that topic! 🙌🏼
I was really hesitant to go into the Lunar Chronicles and ended up absolutely loving the whole series. I really loved Butcher and Blackbird and strongly recommend the audio if you can. I am not a huge audio book person, but I loved how they had a narrator for each main character and the way they played off each other. I hope you are able to get a lot of reading in. Happy New Year.
📖🩵 That's great to hear about the Lunar Chronicles & B&B! I'll have to check out the audio because I've REALLY been liking audiobooks lately! Happy New Year! 🎆
I thought of another idea for your wheel. I don't know if you have it already, but perhaps pick a book by page count? Just a thought. Happy new year! ❤
Never Ever Getting Back Together is such a fun book!! YA is hit or miss for me too, but if it comes up again I think you could give it a shot! Well, if/when you're in the mood for a sapphic bachelor style book.
This was such a great video and as always i enjoyed watching. I hope that January is a great reading month for you. I also hope that you enjoy the naturals i read it last year and rated it 4.25/5 the book is definitely like a ya criminal minds and it was good and fast pace.💕💕
Happy New Year to you. This video was chaotic but highly entertaining. Your nails and rings look absolutely gorgeous. Have a fab reading month. Can’t wait for the next one x
📚📚That is a crazy selection of books but it definitely gave some great books to pick from. I am so excited for Onyx Storm and already re-read Iron Flame. Of course I think my tbr for this month is hopeful but will see how many I can read. Happy New Year!!
Mariana Zapata is slow burn but the plot was interesting and I love her writing. My favorites so far is Wait for It, From Lukov with love and All Rhodes Lead Here. This year I will be reading Luna and the Lie.
This is the very first video of yours I am watching and I love it! Does your channel have any tutorials for making our own spin wheels? I would love to use some of your ideas for my own book challenges but I don’t know that I’d be able to come up with a bunch of prompts myself lol do you offer lists of what you’ve put on your wheels on Pinterest or something?
@sheisbookedandbusy I liked it because even though it had the magical realism element, I felt like it was still mostly realistic. And it had some great quotes about love in it too.
I know you aren’t a mystery/thriller reader and I’m truly not either. I’m such a whimp when it comes to scary stuff but The Naturals series was my favorite series of the year and I read almost 150 books this year. I loved it so much❤. Also literally 5 minutes before I turned on your video I downloaded the one on my kindle because it just became a kindle unlimited book. I think it sounds fun
The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore is my favorite Laurie Gilmore book so far. Pumpkin Spice Cafe was good, but not great, but the second book made me glad I continued the series. :)
Wow! That's a huge endorsement for the series! I finished Pumpkin Spice Cafe last night & realllly liked it so hearing it only gets better makes me sooo happy! 😊
Okay thought. What if (because you said you’re in the middle of 30+ series) one month you dedicated all of your picks to continuing series. Like if it’s a shelf picked, you only count books that are furthering a series. Or the wheels can only pick series related things, etc. Might be a way to help further that goal! Would be fun to watch. Also no new series would be started but it would open you up to feeling more comfortable choosing new series.
Wait wait wait!!! City of bones has 21 books????????? WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Where can I find this list cause I am just starting the series and I had no idea there are 21 books ☠💀☠💀☠💀
The entire Shadowhunters universe does! City of Bones is book 1 of 6 in the Mortal Instruments section of the Shadowhunters universe. Here is the entire reading order - I am doing the Cassandra Clare option: www.reddit.com/r/shadowhunters/comments/nsbmmd/suggested_reading_order_for_the_shadowhunter/
Loving your videos lately! I feel the same, YA is not my thing anymore. I think our taste change over time. It would be cool to see you do a purge of books that no longer interest you and would be a “task” to read. A spring cleaning if you will, free up shelf space, and make room for new anticipated reads. Start 2025 fresh!
Aw! Thank you! I'm so glad you're enjoying! 🥹 Definitely - you said it so well! - our tastes just evolve...and maybe they might evolve again, we never know! I also think there's objectively good writing & objectively bad writing in every genre, age range, etc. & I've just been struggling to find anything YA that is MY personal standard of "good YA" writing...buttttt I'm reading The Naturals right now & EATING IT UP! 🥰 I think I'm going to film a "Read It or Unhaul It" series this month to clear some shelves & get rid of some books that just seem to sit or that I'm not excited about anymore.
Instead of him editing what could be fun Is if you get shelf instead of random numbe rhe gets to chose for you. And only 3 changes to stay not this month.
Sounds like it’s time for a shelf purge. Maybe turn it into a video and do a challenge. Read it or get rid of it.. might help to clear up some space and get rid of those books that you’re just not feeling anymore. Happy new year and wonderful readings to you!

I adore that idea
@@sheisbookedandbusyplease do it 😂
Happy new years to all the book girlies and mamas out there 🎉 here’s to another year of book boyfriends and dnf’s 😂
I’ll cheers to that! 🥂 Happy New Year!!!🎊
All the wheels had me stressed out for you! 😂 Great fun and TBR. Bad Summer People was a hoot. 📚
Haha! Chaos is a lifestyle at this point 🤣
For the naturals you landed on book 4. You vetoed the second time you landed on shelf 4 and spun and got onyx storm
Guess it’s editor Dylan at the helm next month 😂 oh and ❤ the Viking village and snitch lamp.
I'm equally excited & terrified 🤣🤣
Yes Onyx Storm!! 🎉
I am so excited! Cannot wait! 🐉
What about a video with just reading your special editions to help prioritize them?
Even though you didn’t end up with a ton of wild spins you got some really great book selections!
I have a special editions wheel so I could definitely do a special editions week! 🩷
@ I forgot you had that wheel! It would be cool to see all your special editions as a video as well. Like going through each one you own.
What a fun and chaotic video and TBR! I hope you love everything. Can’t wait to hear all your thoughts on the books!
It was certainly chaotic! 🤣 I'm realllllly hoping I can get at least 75% of this TBR read! 🫶🏼
@@sheisbookedandbusy You got this!
The wheel chose chaos 😂😂 the total randomness of your tbr😂 happy new year!! Hope you have a wonderful year in reading and life!!
Me the entire time fighting the wheel: 🙄 🤣 Happy New Year!!! I hope you have a year full of amazing reads & amazing memories!! 🩷
I loved the fine print
I'm SUPER excited for that one!
The God of Endings was great!
Ooo that makes me much more excited! I've never really heard anyone talk about it!
@sheisbookedandbusy I'll be looking forward to hearing what you think!
I really enjoyed Heartless Hunter!
That is one of my most anticipated! 🙂
Liking immediately before the video continues. 😂 🤞🤞🤞
That’s so sweet! Hope you enjoyed!
I loved The One by John Marrs and even though it is thick, I think I read it in a day or two. 😊 📚
Wow! That's always a great testament to how good the book was! 👏
'You want to do what?'
'Edit your video'
'That's a terrible idea' 🤣
Love your attempt at reverse psychology and the wheel was like "nope still no wild spins"
So many good choices after all the chaos! I'm reading If I Have To Be Haunted at the moment and enjoying it. I'm not far enough to really know how I feel about it as a whole but liking the vibes so far 🤞

The Jamie McGuire Beautiful Disaster series is really good
I'm realizing that a ton of people love it! Now I'm more excited for sure! 😌
I love your TBR's !!! They are always so wild and crazy!

I ama obsessed with your tbr videos! thank you for creating such a nice tbr spin game

Happy new year🎉 for you and for your lovely family❤ I have a suggestion... please can you make a video about series that you're in the middle?
Absolutely! Coming soon! 😉 Happy New Year to you & your family as well! 🎆
I loved Beautiful Disaster and gave it 4 stars
Wow! That's a great rating! I was initially not that excited but once I read the back of the book & saw how many people really enjoyed it, I'm glad I didn't use a veto! 💕
Begin Again on that on shelf is great too. Seeing a bunch of books I loved last year on your shelves. LOL
That one sounds really cute if I’m remembering correctly! 🥰
I am so excited for Onyx Storm! It is also on my January TBR!!!
SO EXCITED! 🐉
Happy New Year! Do we want to get 500 likes? 😂
Happy New Year! Dylan editing a video would be……entertaining, for sure!! 🤣🤣
As soon as you got last name C, that was the first book that I thought of. 🤣 I have not read yet, but have heard so much about it.

Yes! I've actually looked up the whole Lunar Chronicles because I hope I love it!
Beautiful Disaster I read awhile back and loved it. Great video

Hi just wanted to say I love your hair like this! Looks so beautiful!! The wheel chose chaos for this month lmao 😂❤
Oh my gosh, thank you so much! I was actually put together for once - I'm about to start recording another video & I look a hot mess again 🤣

Aww thank you so much! Chaos is the only way around here 🤣🤣 Happy New Year to you too!
omg! that wheel was playing with you! shelf 4!!
SURPRISE! 🥳 having all of you guys pick a book this month was so fun!
📚📚That is a crazy selection of books but it definitely gave some great books to pick from. I am so excited for Onyx Storm and already re-read Iron Flame. Of course I think my tbr for this month is hopeful but will see how many I can read. Happy New Year!!
Onyx Storm is terrifying me already! 😬 happy new year!
Happy New Year Lyndsay and family!! Wide varied of books. Im thinkin bout doing tbr wheel spins.
Happy New Year! 🥳 Omg I would love for you to do your own spin wheel video!
Mariana Zapata is slow burn but the plot was interesting and I love her writing. My favorites so far is Wait for It, From Lukov with love and All Rhodes Lead Here. This year I will be reading Luna and the Lie.
I really want to get into her writing! I own almost everything she's ever written! 🤣
I love your spin wheels.❤📚

Love your videos.📚
I love that YOU love my videos! 📖🩵
I LOVED Expiration Dates!
The concept sounds sooo cute!! 🥰
@sheisbookedandbusy I liked it because even though it had the magical realism element, I felt like it was still mostly realistic. And it had some great quotes about love in it too.
What a TBR! I really enjoyed Butcher and Blackbird, so hope you do too🎉
It's a huge one this month! I've heard great things about B&B! 🐦⬛
I love that sweatshirt!!
Isn't it cute?! Amazon! 🫶🏼
A great video to start the year!!
Right?! The best way! 🥰
Happy new year!! I know you hated it but I love the shelf picks the most!
Hahah the wheels chose chaos this month! Happy New Year to you as well! 🩷

WOW!! That’s amazing to hear!! Now you’re making me super intrigued!! 🙂🙂
Love your tbr videos!!❤
I love making them! 💖
📚📚📚 loved this video
🩵📖 I'm so glad!
📚
📖🩵✨
📚Happy new year!
📖🩵 You as well!
I just got to part 2 in an ember in ashes it is interesting so far
I'm really liking it! I think there's definitely A LOT going on so I hope it remains cohesive & focused! ⚔️
The Naturals is a 5 star series for me and I don’t usually love mystery or thrillers!!
Wow!! That makes me much more excited! I’m not a mystery/thriller girl either so maybe this one will change my mind?! 💕

GREAT idea! I have a video idea that is only spinning my series wheel for a week as well to make progress! 🤔
Just gave you your 500th like 🎉
Ohhh myyy goodness!! This is either a really awesome thing or a realllllly scary thing 🤣🤣🤣
📚 good luck with your tbr!
Thank you - I’ll need all the luck I can get! 🤣
The God Of Endings by Jacqueline Holland was my favorite book of 2024!! It was amazing! ❤
Oh wow!!! I hope I feel the same way! That makes me much more excited! 😆
The Naturals is awesome. So is The One by John Marrs which it looks like is also on that shelf. 😂 That one is a sci-fi thriller though.
Ooo keep watching then! I’ll think you’ll be happy with one of the picks! 😉
I also read 15! Breaking my record of 10… I had to double check my counting cause I was in shock…
Wow! Nicely done - it's such a good feeling to exceed goals 🙂 I did the same thing when I counted up my reads - I counted to 15 & went "NO WAY!"
you should have a rule no repeat shelves and do a re spine
Ooo this is not a bad idea! However, some of the shelves I wouldn’t mind getting twice! But the wheel is just never that nice to me 🤣🤣
The people have spoken!
It seems they have! I'm equal parts excited & terrified to see what Dylan does 🤣

What was thrown at you/fell at 28:17? 😂
HAHAHHA A SOCK! 🧦 Boys 🙄🤣
The Shadowhunter books are multiple series all together not just one big series
Yesss! Definitely! I just meant the entire overarching series 🙂
Looks like the god of endings is on KU!
Yes! A few of these books are! 🙂

The absolute best 💕
I throated Beautiful Disaster this year, but still have not read it.
I was surprised that it sounded pretty good when I read the summary! We’ll see 🤷🏼♀️
@sheisbookedandbusy that should have said Thrifted LOL. I just seen wha5 auto correct wrote.
I like the original way better!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@sheisbookedandbusy I got a new phone recently and it's a learning curve. 🤣

Instead of him editing what could be fun Is if you get shelf instead of random numbe rhe gets to chose for you. And only 3 changes to stay not this month.
I've thought about doing that, but in true 14 year old boy fashion, I'm TERRIFIED what he would pick for me 🤣
Too many options. I would never get anything read, I would be overwhelmed.
That's why my wheels & challenges keep my options narrowed down - helps me focus! Plus, it's so fun! 🤩
@sheisbookedandbusy well done! 💐
As a full-time hater, it was my duty to give a thumbs down to try to prevent Dylan from editing a future video.
Haha! A job well done, honestly! 🤣
