for the book with glossy pages, you can annotate on clear post-it notes. I got mine from Stationery Pal. You'll want to use a ball point pen or fine point permanent marker.
whoa! that is one massive tbr for january! 😳 hope you’ll love them all!! i’m currently reading a time of blood by john gwynne, which i started reading in december. it’s book 2 of a trilogy and i will probably read book 3 directly after and then i’m hoping to be reading either beautiful ugly by alice feeney or famous last words by gillian macallister - i believe both release in january but i keep forgetting which one releases first. i think i read the first book in the throne of glass series in 2023, went on with the short story/novella book and believe i’ve only read two of the short stories so far. every now and then i’m thinking i should go back and continue.. some day 😜 plated prisoner, binding 13, zodiac academy, magnolia parks are also all series i’d like to check out. so long, though. 😮💨 makes starting them a bit daunting. may the new year bring you all the happiness and the delicious living! 💖
Great minds think alike! 😋 ...I'm kind of addicted to the wheel - I've got one for all my book needs; kindle unlimited, series I'm in the middle of, genres, reading challenges, etc etc. lol
Happy New Year!! 🎉 Haha that's why I started it too! Whenever a book/ series gets a bunch of hype I'm like "oh oh me too!👋🏻" LOL So far it's been REALLY good, I hope you like it!!
The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices books are on my TBR this year! I have put off FOREVER reading this series and have had most of them on my shelf for a while now, so I’m super excited to read them too 😊
Same! I accidentally bought The Last Hours trilogy early last year not realizing there was another series before it (I want to read them in chronological order), so I'm FINALLY getting the Infernal Devices books lol It's been really good so far, I hope you like them!! 📖💕✨
Ohhh nice. Lots of options for mood reading, but still reading your tbr. My first book I'm reading this year is called The Deepest Blue by Sarah Beth Durst. So far, I'm really enjoying it. I've got a lot I'm really excited to get to this month. 😊
That's how I'm thinking about them at this point: options..there is no way I'll be able to actually read all of them..it just got so out of control so fast! 😂 I've never heard of The Deepest Blue, but it's immediately going onto my wishlist (just read the synopsis) it sounds SO GOOD!! Wishing you nothing but the most amazing reading month!! 📖💕✨
@jenseereads haha I've definitely done that before. Sometimes, when you're excited about so many books it's hard to not just keep adding. 😂 All of her books just really call to me so I'm glad I've finally picked her up. The atmosphere is really good and the writing is beautiful. Also if you like a water/island setting this will be right up your alley.
So glad you’re gonna be reading Empire of Storms. It’s my favorite in the TOG series. I hope you love it! I’m kicking off 2025 with Glow of the Everflame and really enjoying it so far.
The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez is my current read. I want to read her back list and wanted to start 2025 off with an easy romance. Your TBR is stacked with so many good reads!
Im reading a Casandra Clare book right now and im obsessed....Lady of MIdnight, and i cant wait to read more. Ive been waking up early, and when i do i usually read for a half hr
Ooo I'll have to check Lady of Midnight out!! I'm definitely liking her writing too! I want to work my way through her universe (that the series that I'm in now is a part of) this year 📖👀✨
That is an ambitious TBR! You can do it!😆 Cant wait to see what you think of them. I started 2025 off with The Cat Who Saved Books. It was like a Persona game mixed with Chronicles of Narnia? Kind of? lol it was fun. Now Im reading Two Twisted Crowns and its soo good. That edition of The Phoenix Keeper is so prettyyy🐦🔥❤
It really is...I don't know who I think I am with a tbr this big LOL And thank you 📖🔥 I got it for Christmas! I about died when I opened it LOL Your first book of the year sounds so cute! Ahh I REALLY need to read One Dark Window + Two Twisted Crowns this year!
Tha tandem read is going to be such an experience Jensee 😍 can't wait to hear your thoughts! The 1st book I finished for 2025 was once upon a broken heart and I didn't like it at all 🥲 happy 2025 filled with good reads 💌✨️
I'm equally so excited and so nervous for the tandem read lol But I've waited long enough 😅 OH NO!! I'm so worried I'm going to feel the same about Once Upon a Broken Heart..especially since I didn't love Caraval 😬 and of course I already bought ALL the books in both series lol 😅 I hope your next read goes a lot better! 🤞🏻📖💕
Jensee: I don't want to start a new series because I am in the middle of many other ones. Also Jensee: *Picks three books that are book one in different series. I can't believe we are already in 2025. I did so well last year with my physical TBR. It's down to 20ish now!! So I am thinking of buying more books now and maybe starting TOG this year because I have been putting it off since last year. Happy reading Jensee 💗💗 PS: I started with Blood Ninja as my first book this year. I saw the book in my local library and thought "Ooh the cover is so cool I have to read" not knowing anything about the book and where it takes place. After buying the book I realized that it takes place in Japan during the 1500s and has vampires (I am not a huge fan of vampires) but it is actually good and one of my best impulse buys. I started yesterday and I am halfway through already.
The first book I read was actually a Chanukah book and it was called The Matzah Ball by Jean Meltzer and it was such a cute romance! Now I'm reading Rock, Paper, Scissors by Alice Feeney and I'm also having a great time with it as well. I want to get to gild, and the Infernal Devices series too! And you're gonna have a great time with the tandem EoS, ToD reads. Happy reading!
Love the idea of kicking off the year with a cute romance! 📖💕 Ahh we have so many similar books on our tbr's this year, so fun!! 😄📚✨ Rock, Paper, Scissors is a book I've been wanting to read too - I've heard so many good things! Thank you for the tandem read encouragement and Happy Reading!! 🫶
@@jenseereads also Gild counts as a Kindle Unlimited pick bc the whole series is on there but I’m glad u spun the wheel to pick another one. The first book in that series sounds so good that I added them all to my want to read list!
@@jenseereads @jenseereads thanks even though I started off last January binging the entire ToG series. 😂 so way different to how I’m starting this year. So many exciting reads and I’m almost done with Rock Paper Scissors and I’m really liking it!
Happy New Year!! I'm starting with Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross. My hopefuls for next month are A Sorceress Comes To Call by T. Kingfisher, Foxglove by Adalyn Grace, Daisy Haites, One Dark Window, An Ember In The Ashes, The Luminaries, Yumi and the Nightmare Painter, The Ashes and the Star Cursed King and Dreams Lie Beneath.
Happy New Year!! 🎉 Ruthless Vows is a good start to the year 📖✨ Ooo and we've definitely got a lot of books in common for the year; magnolia parks has to happen this year, One Dark Window too (everyone seems to love it, I can't believe I haven't read it yet!), Foxglove was a good one...I just finished The Ashes and the Star Cursed King a couple days ago, I'm loving that series so far! Ahh so many good books!! 😄📚✨
I already finished a book, Lore by Alexandra Bracken, but I started reading that last year in December (I’m a slow reader.) My actual first book that I started this year is White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson.
I gave into the hype and ordered all 5 books of the Magnolia Parks series.. the stunning original UK covers 😻 just got book #2 and should have the rest by middle of this month. I think I heard the 6th and final book is out in February? 🤞
I did the same thing lol - I read the first book on kindle and then bulk bought the rest of the series....and then proceeded to let them all sit on my shelves untouched for over a year 🫣 definitely need to get to those this year! lol And I didn't know there was a 6th book coming out!! I'll have to look for that date 👀
Empire of Storm is my all time favorite Sarah J Maas book, so that would be a great pick!
for the book with glossy pages, you can annotate on clear post-it notes. I got mine from Stationery Pal. You'll want to use a ball point pen or fine point permanent marker.
Ahh thank you for the tip!! ..I read like 3 pages today and there were already a few things I wanted to annotate lol
Absolutely LOVED the Plated Prisoner series!! Such an underrated series!
Happy to hear it!! I've been anticipating it for sooo long, I hope I love it too 😅🤞🏻

😂 ..I really want to read it, but I'm scared 😬 lol
You had me laughing throughout this :) I’m actually did the same with my KU choices. Popped them on a wheel to make sureI read the darn books LOL
Great minds think alike! 😋 ...I'm kind of addicted to the wheel - I've got one for all my book needs; kindle unlimited, series I'm in the middle of, genres, reading challenges, etc etc. lol
@ That’s so funny … I’ve done the same thing. It just makes things so much more interesting and makes doing TBRs less boring ;)
Happy new year! I’m so excited to start the Throne of Glass series this year I hear SO many people talking about it and I want to join in!💙

I loved the phoenix keeper. ❤
I haven't heard any reviews for it, so I'm happy to hear you loved it! I've only read about 25-ish pages but it's super cute so far ☺️📖💕
