Thanks Tim! Myself and some of the others builders have done commission work before, it's not super common unfortunately, but still always a good feeling that some people enjoy our work so much they want it in their own worlds
This build is incredible, wonderful job. I really need to get a hold of the Aesir building pack next time it comes around the bazaar. It's such a unique looking set!
I LOVE round buildings! This looks similar to my base but I have 3 round towers with it in nemedian and stable style. In Aesir style it looks awesome too!
I don't do them too often, stability can become a nightmare if you go a little too large, but they're definitely nice to construct. Glad you enjoyed the build!
It put me in mind of something about the Edward castles in Wales. The outer walls are made there so you can shoot over the moot; the inner walls, so that you can shoot over- and onto the outer walls, and the moot.
Love the build and decor you've put in, always amazing work and It's making me regret not being able to get those twitch drop rewards from siptah even more lol keep up the good work
Viking was always a bit of a pain without mods, but now Aesir is in the game, it makes it a lot easier. There's still some missing elements but it's more than do-able, I'll see what I can come up with!
I love it! I think it's really funny that when the server I play on wiped and restarted for AoW: Chapter 3, I wanted to do a build in the north and found Carrowmere just like you. I ended up building a round black ice tower with a defensive wall around it, similar in design to this build. The bottom floor was so large, it was easy to fit T2 crafting benches on the first floor and then an herb garden on the second-floor balcony. Great build! I don't know if you followed the path the leads out from the rear of Carrowmere up the hill to the small frost giant camp up there. The name is a fantastic easter egg. lol
Not home so I can't check exact coors ( on vacation lol ) but in the bottom of G7 is a small elevated outcropping of rock that I built a nemidian castle in. There's a perfect funnel for purges that can come from either mek-kamoses spire or the nearby savana and while I like my lil castle it's quite ugly. I do plan to tear it down but I'd love to see your take on it. I need to be able to get a horse or two into a stable with the upper floors for crafting and of course a stupid amount of thralls. Glad for creators like you, I still can't get the pillars to work for me but ah well.
Circular Ideal for purge, doors open, treasure in the middle archer inside, (kill all order) also fighters with bows order to defend so they don't go out, have a sit enjoy the carnage, they will go all for one
Very nice build Stability is always a concern. It's a reason I always respec into expertise whenever making the base. Aesir is a somewhat washed out colour set, which can make it a challenge to decorate and not feel cold or faded. Always good to hear it purge tests well. With this Ring Fort done, have you considered re-examining a Motte and Bailey style fortress? Probably won't be purge viable, but could be interesting to make a detached, but not really, keep and village/craft area.
Thanks Veridian, glad you enjoyed it! I've had the idea of doing a Motte & Bailey for a while, the main issue is finding a good spot tbh, and getting the outer walls right. I think it's definitely do-able, and there's probably a perfect spot on Siptah, I just need to dedicate a bit of time to scout for it thoroughly
Looking at the fort build, I was wonderi g if you ever built a pentagonal fort build. I was looking at Fort Sumter, where the American Civil War began, and although these seem of simple construction these I think have potential to create a spectacular Conan building
Another good looking build 👍 Try a Large lighthouse/defensive tower. I have built one mainly out of Argosian, namedian and stormglass but I'd love to see what you come up with.
Thanks James! I've built a smaller lighthouse before for Settlers Season 1, I could probably do it much better nowadays though, I've added it to the list!
not sure if its even possible because im not sure where you would even build it but could you try doing a build using the secret door things to build a base where its something like a tavern from the outside and then if you go through the secret door you enter the main base with all the works in it. but like i said, not entirely sure where on the map you would be able to build this where you can hide the majority of the base. makes me wish you could use something to build into the ground or terrain but because they insist on balancing around pvp that will likely never happen. when they added the dungeon set i had a glimmer of hope that it would allow you to create an underground space but unfortunately that wasnt the case.
Have you ever done two tone color builds? Where the outside is one color and this inside is another. For example the outside is one style and the inside is another.
I did a two-tone build a good few years ago, but I did make a Masking guide about a month ago that probably more fits what you're looking for: ruclips.net/video/WJCjA02vGTk/видео.html
It is a good video and a nice build. It is quite hard to find authentic decorations for all architectural elements of all peoples (nations) ingame. Let's say if the snow stayed on it, it would help a lot. For example, frozen climbing ivy would also look good on it, not to mention the snow covered roofs (like the bossonian mod). Maybe you forgot to use the nordheimer totem poles, or am I mistaken? Now apart from the fact that a non-admin player won't be able to make a pirate flag mast - how did you put it in the middle of the roof? Are the archers dressed as shamans instead of the basic nordheimer armor to promote the Bazaar at the request of FC?
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah there's a fair few gaps in cultural decoration, gotta kinda wiggle in what I can to make things fit I did consider using the Vanir totem poles but I didn't think they fit too well. They looked a bit lost inside the walls and out of place outside, so I opted not to use them. The flag mast can be placed right in the centre of a 2x2 and then the roof pieces snapped onto it, I used the same trick in my previous Aesir Fort build The archers are dressed in Shaman as I'm not a huge fan of basic Nordheimer. Funcom have never, to date, requested me (or any other creator I know of) to promote the Bazaar. That's the same with the Bazaar reviews, creators get the bundles to use with no request or expectation of coverage, it's up to us if we cover it, but if we do, we're obliged by RUclips (and sometimes law) to disclose it

I'm surprised I haven't heard of a Reddit thread about builders like yourself being subcontracted to build out people's worlds - this is amazing :)

This build is incredible, wonderful job. I really need to get a hold of the Aesir building pack next time it comes around the bazaar. It's such a unique looking set!
Thanks Cloud! After the extension was released, it definitely became one of the better and more unique sets in the game, exceptionally flexible too
I LOVE round buildings! This looks similar to my base but I have 3 round towers with it in nemedian and stable style. In Aesir style it looks awesome too!

Thanks Cola, glad you enjoyed it! It'd be great if they re-released the older Twitch Drops, the Watcher stuff in particular is a favourite of mine
I'd love to see some viking/insulated wood builds. I am currently using a few of your ebas in my viking village on siptah

Thanks Sarinia, glad you enjoyed the build!I just checked out that location, I'm surprised I've not heard anyone else mention it before 😂

That is true, finding the perfect location is not at all easy, especially for a keep of any size.

@@Eradicati0nn ooo I must have missed it, I'll go find and watch 👍
@@jamescoe6466 I believe it's Episode 6: High Seas, but I would recommend watching the season (and maybe downloading the free follow-on book too 👀)
Good work and lots of ideas, thx Mate.

@@Eradicati0nn Thank you for the detailed answer.
Build all the keeps from game of thrones
It would be a monumental task, but at least some of them would be easy enough I think. I'll see what I can do 👀
It would take a year to get all the resources to build this
Hello Eradicati0n.. can I build this fort with Turanian/Khitan DLC??? 🙂
You wouldn't be able to get sloping pieces like the large aesir fort walls, but yeah it should work with Turanian & Khitan :)
