Summer 93 and I was 20. This album has a place with me a little different than many others. Something about it with the times and that age range.... it was fucking great.
amazing! First had seen them perform that song in 94 at Saratoga raceway... they closed out,,, was truly impressed ... changed my view of beautiful rock and skills the rest of my life.,,, does not always have to be angry... can be pumpkin! Love them always!
The Pumpkins are one of my all-time favorite bands!! When you say Saratoga, do you mean Lollapalooza 94 at Saratoga Springs? At first, I was bummed about the whole Nirvana/Cobain incident, but the Pumpkins did not disappoint! My best friend and I were there and also went to Woodstock 94 the same summer. It was the summer we both turned 18 and it was one of the best summers of my life. Aaah, the memories.......
@@bleedingfingers7457 yes Saratoga raceway? It was a palooza wasn't it.... they had 3 stages most of the day... the Mudd and rain were horrible....lol when tribe called quest was on I went to the front and was separated from my only friend I knew their.... the beasty boys were great... many bands I did not know until then. But all good.. yes... good times... cheers to you🍷
They're having fun. I saw them in Houston recently. Don't get me wrong, the sound was top notch. The imagery was awesome. But they were so generic. No interaction with the crowd. No encore. In and out. People actually started leaving early. It was great to see them live as I've always wanted to since I was a kid, but it was also kind of disappointing at the same time. One would even say i was a bit melancholy. 🌝
Weird. I also saw them relatively late: 2011, 2013 and in the reunited formula in 2018, but all times they showed they still can and still like to rock. Encores, long solos... What you describe I've experienced with Korn, the only time I saw them, in 2014. They were souless...
This is Chicago. Who'd ever want to go to Texas? If you actually live there, I recommend you throw a dart at a world map, and move to there. Guaranteed it'd be better than Texas.
@@princeofcupspoc9073 You must be joking? Half of the country has moved to Texas in the last ten years. Chicago is a dump run by criminals with dozens of deletions every week.
I guess it's phone audio so bound to misrepresent, but this seemed very paint-by-numbers, going through the motions. Billy repeating he doesn't want to play this track anymore perhaps 'enhances' that impression, and he might be right. Without an actual urgency in the vocal delivery, it doesn't have the fire it needs. I'm sure it would only take a couple minutes to find a rendition from the '90s that would obliterate the flaccid sleepwalk exhibited here.
@@jizzfreeficus they have three guitarists because billy wanted to reunite with james and jimmy, but also wanted to keep jeff around. this is how it’s been for four years now.
I love that they are having fun, and it actually seems like they actually like each other!
hahaha... James' dry sense of humor never ceases to disappoint !
Rocket sounded great.
Yeah, you're not wrong. Here's the old-school one, not wildly different.

saw them a month ago and they were fantastic, even though they didn't play Rocket or my personal fav Hummer
There goes Billy looking like Klaus Schwab again.
Time Begins Again.🤗🤗🤗😆
Absolutely gorgeous video
Dang wish they were playing this on the Spirits tour....
EXELENTE band!!!!!

Poor Katie. Not exactly a song that utilizes her talents. 😂
What did he say at 1:06?
@@grapefruitbowl Thanks. I wasn't sure since it got such a big laugh.
Why do they have three guitarists? I thought it was just supposed to be Billy and James in the pumpkins. Who's the other guy and why is he there?
jeff schroeder. he’s been with the band since 2007.
@@kastle4774 not talking about Jeff. Talking about the extra guy.
@@jizzfreeficus jeff is the third guitarist. do you mean jack bates? the bassist?
@@kastle4774 a bass guitar is also a guitar. Sure, the guy playing bass. Why do the Pumpkins need 3 regular guitarists all of a sudden.
