  • In this video I'm working on getting some of the parts all in place to see if I can get this 65 c10 to fire up using all the trailblazer ss electronics. Up to this point I have not done any of the work on this truck but the quality and fit of the parts are great, so koodos to who ever did the work till this point.
00:00 The walk around of the 65 c10
02:48 Starting to fit brakes and steering
05:14 Mocking up the front clip of the c10
    07:58 Installing the fuel tank
    08:32 Figuring out the wiring.

Well THAT looks like fun! Boredom won't be a problem on that project. No "Same old, same old" complaints will be entertained, but you will be. Vastly. The security systems can be tricky. Take a can opener with you on your test drive, in case it shuts off the engine and locks you inside.

Make sure you check out what mounts the rear end to the frame the four link part of it you might want to box it in I've seen Trail Blazers have a lot of issues there and they really love to wear out the upper a arm bushings on the inside by the frame especially if he's going to end up doing power adders

Can I ask you what exactly u left on the body wring harness to make it work? I’m doing the same project and I got the body wiring harness, but there is a lot of extra stuff on the harness and honestly I don’t know what I need to make it work. I was toying with the idea of hooking up the steering wheel harness and the dash cluster and stuffing the rest under the dash but honestly I don’t need all that other stuff. Is it as simple as identifying the plugs for whatever I need to keep and trace them back to the fuse box and eliminating the rest or are there other things I need to keep? Sorry for all the questions but really don’t know who else to turn to find guidance. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate any replies you might have.

Hey Brent , looks like a beauty . Would a 2001 Blazer work to mount a '47 to '54 chevy pickup cab ...or would the s-10 pickup be the way to go . Just happy to mount a cab and front sheetmetal and use original drivetrain . Something for a older person to scoot around in that looks old and has a lot more room than a '30 Model A pickup cab on the inside . More comfortable seat and a chance to move inside when the knees and hips start to go ouch .
