Can't believe this only has 61k views!!! In a sea of RUclips crap, it's rare to find someone with as true a love and dedication to an art form as you show here. Very VERY well done, Sir! Thanks for posting....I enjoyed every bit of this....
Your speed and accuracy with tapping is really inspirational, I picked up the bass less than a year ago with decent musical background and I think tapping is my favorite technique so far. With two voices and the deep tonal quality, it just melts my ears. Needless to say once my foundation solidifies I will learn this tune. Thanks for posting it.
I'm very noob in bass guitar, started over a year ago after over 17yrs paus. Found thhis video by random luck but what a treasure. Absolutely astonishing to listen, touching. Thank you for this. This kind of perfomances push people to practice more and more even if they know they never will be as good. Thank you once again, keep up what you are doing.
what if you look first at you willing to do the things that you want, you can't play like this in one day but in one year, I guarantee to you!, when I play I don't sound like him, I sound like me and I love it.
you sir, are a sage, delivering wisdom do anyone who comes across with this video and your other videos, by spreading your awesome music in all of them. just brilliant!
Stuart, u are my hero, do you understand and accept that? I truly wish that you continue producing the intense quality you produce. My favourite for the next song would be one of Sadé, but I leave it to you. Thank you in advance for sharing your next beautiful production !!
Thank you, thank you :) Please, tell us about u're next song. as indicated, I would love u to play your favourite Sadé song. Is that feasible? Take care, king of bass! Arjan
Very smart and nice. My ideal bass sound -- Jack Bruce's growl, honk and thunder -- is a long way from this. But the bass guitar has been re-imagined many times, expanded with new techniques, and so each to his/her own...
simply amazing. my favorite sting song. bravo, you truly have a talent. im working on my taps skills, as im more of a slapper. tapping always intrigued me
Stuart, u're a hero, this is great stuff, you've given a special song to me a new dimension. Basists are considered support musicians. You show and proof to us with this performance that supporters can be great leads. Please accept my respect and continue expand your talents, Arjan
Awesome! I've been listening to the whole album "Ten Summoner's Tales" all this week so this is an amazing find. Great Job Stuart! I find it interesting your RH tapping technique of your fingers parallel to the strings instead of perpendicular. Here's solo bass version of the Bach Two Part Invention No.14 on Solo bass using tapping that I do Bach Two Part Invention - No.14 - Arranged For Solo Electric Bass - Bach Two Part Invention No.14
Every time I watched this video - apart from being very impressed by the playing - I would look at the bass and think "That's the bass I want" So, this week, I ordered one from Zon. Unimaginable extravagance - but what the hell - I know it won't make me play like Stuart, but it is such a great bass. Now I have to wait 12 months for it to arrive!
Hey Brian, Zon basses are beautiful instruments and are a joy to play. Great to hear that you have one on the way - a long wait, but it'll be worth it. Best of luck with your playing!
@@StuartClayton Thanks for that, and if you should find yourself down in the South West - let me know. In particular I have a big party coming up in May Next Year (2020) and I'd love it if you came and played. The Zon should be here by then!
@@StuartClayton I live in Dartington, South Devon. Definitely going to invite you to my Three Score Years and Ten party! 9th May 2020 (Zon promised me delivery in time)
Congratulations. It is a taste to reproduce its video time and time again. High performance. Can you tell me that esquipos she uses? And model of its beautiful one bass?
When you remember that Sting got famous as a bass player, this arrangement makes perfect sense.
