      So true! Good for Sam Darnold! Seeing his redemption with the Panthers is a blessing. The Jets are screwed with this ownership. The Johnsons have to be the worst owners in the NFL!

      @@joetamburello6292 Exactly, last year for the Jets was one of the most miserable seasons for a sports team I have ever seen, and Darnold handled it like a true pro. Never blamed his team or management, constantly ignored the media bating him and trashing him, the fanbase treated him even worse than the media, he even unironically said in an interview "I like playing for coach Gase". We all know that's not true, but he conducted himself with class.

      @@lertmelernyers8672 Maybe but you need to keep in mind the Panthers are in year 2 of a rebuild. The offensive line is nowhere near where it needs to be. With a decent team around him Darnold can be good, not HOF material but good enough, give it another 2 years.

      Who Cares it was the right move for both sides. Good for Sam I’m happy for him but he’s still never gonna be in the top 10 for QBs. He’s still taking bad sacks and missing open receivers.
      No buyers remorse here Zach’s ceiling is still higher.

      We'll see. It's still a small sample size with the Panthers. He did fumble twice in that game. He has had hot stretches before and then couldn't sustain them. But he does have a much better team. Everyone he throws to looks fast and explosive.

      In a way, I kind of wish it was Darnold and Gase's fault. Because then, the Jets organization would have identified the problem and solved it. The Jets organization has a very deep rooted problem and they will never win until they fix that problem. It may get to the point where the Jets will have to change their name, move to another city and even change their colors. Naturally, the Johnsons would have to sell the team first.

      @@Primenumber19 He was pretty underwhelming outside of maybe one season as a Dolphin in which he was average at best. That said, I don't remember him having many high end weapons aside from Landry. Also have to ask why he was often injured. Poor protection? Crappy O-line? No Run game? Poor schemes, tactics, roster construction/usage ETC are all reasons a QB can't excel and gets injured.. and Gase was in charge of most (If not all) of those things in Miami.

      @@Primenumber19 Prior to Tannehil getting hurt Gase brought in a young "bright" OC named Lazor. Despite Tannehil being somewhat of a veteran, turns out that Lazor wouldnt allow RT to audible out of a play even if the play was doomed to fail. How can you develop a QB if you cant trust him to read and audible out of the basic run to pass or vice versa.

      I don't think anyone would be a good qb coach for Peyton because he knows that role so well. The difference between him and Brady was the will to win. Brady's biggest attribute is the will to win. Also had Peyton had a near career ending neck injury.

    I couldn't agree more. I'm a Bills fan and I remember being so pissee when the Jets picked Darnold because I was praying the Bills would. And I'm glad Allen seems to have been the right choice but I still can't help but wonder how great Darnold might have been if he had the support that Sean McDermott has given Allen since being in Buffalo

    I love how the majority of Jets fans like Sam and are rooting for him. Us Carolina fans appreciate it! I also respect Sam a lot for never throwing New York under the bus, even though he could.
    Also, as a UNC fan, Michael Carter at RB is a stud. Give him time. He’ll be great!

    So funny looking back at this video. Darnold looked great...then we realized Christian McCaffery did all the work taking a pass to the flat for 40 yards almost every drive and they were playing against a weak group of teams

    Yea when I saw panthers hire Matt rhule I said welp Carolina about to be something. I watched him turn baylor around and it was unbelievable. He proved to me he was something extraordinary. As a cowboys fan I was hoping they would get him. Just wait panther fans, he's just getting started.

    I'm so happy for sam darnold!
    As the Jets continue to JETS* sam darnold is flourishing and possibly going to become the most improved player this season!
    But have some faith! I like Wilson
    (Colin cowherd may be right he has iitle Manziel In him) but I think Wilson, is gonna become a dangerous wildcard like player! I like it! And let Saleh build his defense and give some time to lefloor build his offense.

      He wasn't that good. Kid got stripped 3 times because he had no pocket awareness and was lucky to recover the fumbles. Is he better than Zach Wilson so far? Sure. But it's not like Jets let a winner walk out the door

    I really feel for the JETS fans. There has been a saying that I have heard a lot over the last number of years "Every player that leaves Gase-led teams ALWAYS improves." Darnold was very good at USC, he could've been better in NYC with better leadership & complementary pieces around him. Wilson was better that Darnold as BYU. When he gets comfortable & the pieces needed around him, he will excel.

    Something I hate is when people say Sam darnold sucks from what I've seen he is very talented even with the jets. Anyone with talent is gonna suck with Adam gase as their coach

    I agree with your rant Rich … Darnold is with a much improved team that tailored everything to protect Darnold’s start. It was never Sam’s fault mostly; but he didn’t help himself either with many of his self inflicted wounds.

    As a Bills fan I said it for 2 years get Sam Darnold the hell out of there and he becomes a different QB and lives up to the hype of that great QB draft class with the exception of Rosen other than that every QB that first round are ballin and some nice contracts are coming their way. Josh got a huge payday now it’s the others turn. I’m glad Darnold is now becoming very good and got the hell out of Gase’s joke of a system.
