Thanks for the detailed video Ginger. Gosh! How many things to prepare for for ultra running! I am running my first 50k in Feb - the dead sea ultra - i have seen your video on that race too :). I am guessing I wouldnt need all of what you show here?
Oh fabulous! Yes I don't think you would need all those items, it might be a little warmer than the Isle of Man in April lol! They will probably advise on a kit list :) Have an awesome time it sounds epic!

I ran 30 today on an empty stomach with a couple bottles of water. I don't do the packing thing but may eventually when I cover significantly longer distances and that is a big maybe. I don't stop once I start going and food on my stomach tends to make me nauseous
Yes, you can run 30 on empty for sure if trained. I used to run 20 without anything, but if you can train yourself to eat little and often on the run you start the recovery process quicker, and can go even further :)

I would send you luck, but I know you don’t need it and you are going to do a fantastic job! I have a question about cheese sandwich you spoke of. Can you elaborate is it just cheese between two pieces of bread or is it toasted any condiments?
Ha ha ha, thank you, I am editing the film of the race now so stay tuned for how I got on! Well, the cheese sarnie was very basic, just grated cheese on buttered brown bread with a few cherry toms chopped in it for a bit of moisture. Your rating? Suggestions? ;) Claire
@@wildgingerruns sounds awesome!!! Just wondered if it was just cheese and bread which is not very exciting 😀. I do like a grilled cheese dipped in Dijon and I have a marathon this weekend but I don’t think I will go through the work with Dijon tho…
