Field parameters and Calculation Groups are very powerful methods in Power BI that allows us to dynamically select measures and columns.
In this video, for the first time we will explore how with a single selection we can change both columns and measures to personalize the visuals. It will help to develop user-friendly reports (fewer clicks) and easy-to-scale solutions.

Great job!! So resourceful, and shows that Calculation Groups and Field Parameters can be used together which was something I was really unsure about. Thank you!

Thank you so much. I am going to try this principle as I have a similar issue where I want to be to show daily or monthly info for a number of visuals and I want to use calculation groups and field parameters. Would have been good if you also showed the model relationships in relation to the field parameters. I will try your solution. Hope this works.

Yes it worked. Am now able to switch between daily data and monthly data. Also combined it with previous dates video from sqlbi to be able to see the last six months using a single slicer selection. Great stuff.

I assume you use MAXX instead of selectedvalue because the field parameter is a tuple and selected value can't return the Period. Is that correct ? br

Thanks for the question. Yes, I could have used _SELECTEDVALUE_ dax function as well.

Hi Muhammed, Can you explain what you are trying to achieve? It is not easy to answer without having more detail. Thanks!
